There's a patrol that goes along the road you kite the winterspring demon along. It's been a few years but I believe they are horde NPCs so will attack alliance players. I died on a couple of good attempts due to them so make sure to clear them first. The adds on the Silithus demon have so little health volley will quickly kill them and removes an unecessary risk from the fight. You can just fully kite the Burning Steppes demon but he has a surprising amount of health so I wouldn't recommend this unless you struggle with the melee weaving. Un'Goro demon I just kited round the lake, she seemed to keep cancelling casting when I outranged her. The item magic dust is handy if you run into issues with the felhound
Just now, I discovered some pretty insane cheese with the winterspring demon. There is an item (you get 10 of them) called "moist towelette" that you get from a quest in EPL, it is a consumable that removes 1 negative spell effect from the user (basically a dispell) on a 1 sec cooldown. If you guessed correctly you would now know that this DOES, in fact, remove the debuff from the demon in winterspring if you get it. I used 4 of them during that fight.
For Klinfran, there is a dead tree that Nobbel is fighting near in the video, you can jump on and off the tree and he'll be forced to walk up the tree and back down it when you jump off. He can't actually attack you because he's constantly trying to get on and off the tree! Really helpful if you're struggling with the Demon in Burning Steppes.
Found out a nice tactic vs Klinfran the Crazed. Much like you mentioned, but spend a LOT more time in melee. Start with aimed + multi into a freezing trap. Wait for mana regen while he's trapped. Another aimed + multi. He will enrage now (or very shortly after). Use scorpid to break enrage and get the autoshot, then rush in to melee. Hit him until the timer on scorpid is around 10 seconds, then wing clip him (make sure you hit. He parries and blocks a lot), run out to gain as much distance as you can. As soon as another enrage happens, scorpid with autoshot and run into melee again. Rinse repeat. He hits for almost nothing. Just play it safe. Once he's bellow 10% he slows down his movement a LOT. Now you can just kite him without any slows while in cheetah. You need almost no space to do this tactic. Someplace to hit him, around 20-30 yards to kite and another place to hit him. Hope this helps!
Hightly recommend using Restorative Potion @Artorius incase you get debuff/dot. You can keep kiting and purge dot for 30 seconds. Gives you some breathing room to get to road where its much easier.
use concussion shot going up the hill to the road or he will debuff you when going up hills, the key i found out is to never look behind me, and watch my action bars to know when he is in range or not, if he is not in range stop (dont turn or look back) and when the action button turns white continue to run and then apply your serpent/concussion/arcane rank 1 as needed. once you get to the road it is much easier. i like seprent / count to 5 / arcane/ count to 5/ serpent when you are on the road. again if you get out of range stop and wait til action bar is white resume running and THEN do your 180 degree jump and spin shot and never lose a beat and never get debuffed!

For Simone the Seductress, if you want to cheese that fight, you can wait until she patrols south of the map near the hive and then use the two vines to jump back forth on forcing her to walk the path to you giving you lots of time to nail her with shots. I also used magic dust on her pet after the trap was up putting the pet to sleep and this fight ended up being the easiest for me. The hardest fight for you was my second easiest fight also due to a cheese tactic. For Kringle the Crazed I waited for him to patrol west of the map near a fallen tree. I would simply jump onto the tree branch when he got near me forcing him to walk all the way around the tree to come at me just so i could hop off the branch and repeat while blasting him with ranged fire. For Solenor the Slayer if you do not have a warlock friend for fear ward then the way to do this is everything as seen in this guide, but one thing I would like to add is once his root is up and he comes running towards you, make sure you kited him a half circle around from where the beetles were coming at you. That way when he does cast fear once rooted you are less likely to run into the beetles with fear. I am having most troubles with the demon that has to be kited in Winterspring. I am going to have restorative potions that i will use in case he gets the debuff on me, but i will only use the potion if i mess up with him at 50% less hp ( i don't want to wast potion). The only other thing i could think of to cheese that fight would be to use a gnomish net-o-matic trinket if you are an engineer and have that item available. If i continue to have issues kiting him I guess I will respec with 5 points maxed out both in concussive shot and serpent sting. This quest was enjoyable for you? I am two days into this quest and I feel like it has broken me a bit. I have never had so much doubt in my life for completing something and it makes me feel like I am facing my demons IRL! This quest is hard no matter how easy it looks in these videos, so I give you all credit who have completed it! Wish me luck, I guess the reward of feeling good will be overwhelming if I can ever kite that last demon in Winterspring.
All of the demons are farely easy to kill, it's just a matter of getting used to each of there gimmicks, and the most important if all. Positioning, if you pull them in the wrong spot, it's going to be 100 times harder. Simon is just princess if you have a hydra from rotgrip chasing you. Artutius (sorry for spelling) is just a range check. Klinfran is a melee weaving check, the flow is amazing once you get it down and it fells more like a dance then a fight. And soliman is a studded step check. (If you get a rank 1 curse of recklessness)
For Simone, this video gives old information, since Precious and Simone are linked together now (you have to fight both of them, cannot make the other go away), making this fight much much harder. However, if you wish to do this part in easy mode, theres a video for it, search "Simone - easy mode strat". Thanks for the guide though!
i did it without fighting her pet, scattershot her and the pet will pull to your trap then break the scatter and book it to the lake as fast as u can, get far enough from the pet and it wont bother you the rest of the fight, just did it a couple hours ago
For burning steppes I think every hunter should do the downed tree trick, I legit did that fight without even trying. Super easy, just practice getting on the tree every jump so you don't get caught
Just move forward and backwards on the end of the branch and he will do a nice long run back and forth giving you time for some autoshots and serpent stings to drain him. Don't have to remove his enrage this way cause he never gets into melee range. Tried doing it "legit" several times and found the tree to be a good tool.
FOR SIMONE: Make sure you have Scatter Shot talented! - you will be bashing your head at the keyboard after you realise how crucial this move is for this. Then get some macros to /tar Precious, /cast Concussive Shot, then /tar Simone the Seductress and do the same for Scatter shot. That way you're minimising your target switching, and worst case scenario, you'll need to use Wing Clip once. Oh, and whilst you're at it, make a macro for /tar Simone, /cast Arcane Shot(rank 1) just to make sure she won't reset on you. For extra easy Simone killing, kite her around Golakka Hot Springs, and have Improved Traps (so the pet stays trapped 30% longer, and you get more time kiting Simone) Get some Nightfin Soup for some MP5, and try to get the Rallying Cry of the Dragonslayer for max DeePS! If you can also get other buffs, even better.
Can you make a new guide regarding the new patch? cant seem to seperate the pet and simone with frost trap anymore. also wing clip doesnt root the boss in slithus anymore

Just got my Rhok'delar yesterday and I'm ecstatic. I'm working on editing the footage of the demon kills and questline, hopefully I'll have the whole thing done by the end of the week!
For everyone struggling in burning steppes with Phase 2. It's actually much better to kite him in the Southwest corner of the map. The only thing you need to do is wait for the dragon to path by. It takes it forever to path back. The road was a fuck fest for me. Died 6 times to horde who were just running by. The corner was much safer. Only 2 horde showed there because there is a mining point. But at 8pm Monday before BGs come out I was able to do attempt it a lot of times without interruptions once i went to the corner. On Sufluras too high pop very horde active.

due to a recent bug fix, the felhunter no longer de-aggros after freezing trap. new strat is to freezing trap on simone and kite the felhunter down first

Indeed. Just did mine today and they are most certainly linked now. Probably a recent hot fix. My advice to people still trying this would be to freeze Simone first, kite Precious with Cheetah up, and once Precious is dead, you can kite Simone with Cheetah in a very similar way to kiting Princess in Mara. If you keep enough distance from her, she will never get a cast off.
I don't understand why they don't bring these types of quests back for retail? that's what made the legion artifacts so satisfying... something to earn just for your class.
Things to do all over a huge world and people out there doing them. That's what I wish modern WoW felt like. Imagine if when Disney opens a new theme park they fire all the staff at their previous ones but keep them open. That's essentially what Blizzard does with every expansion.

Have been completely unable to seperate Precious from Simone in probably 10 attempts now, no matter how far I get her away he comes running. What did you do? Also, totally killed Klinfran by cheesing on that tree you fought him by, you can jump on the far end and make him run all the way around to the base to come get you then jump down and make him run all the way back again, rinse repeat, only need auto shot, but you can throw in any other shots you want to speed up the damage
I did this on live at some point before it was removed. Though I honestly couldn't say when I actually did it. Though considering I didn't start playing until TBC, it was sometime after level 70.
No auto shot timer addon? How can you live without that??? Talking about grenades: have you tried to use them on any of the demons? Also no Demonslayer 2H (enchanted with Demonslaying), are you that cheap, or just never crossed your mind to buy one? Would Really Sticky Glue work on the bosses? Or Magic Dust?
It actually still works, i pulled quiet a few times trying different variations of how to do it, what i did when i saw precious in the distance i dipped into the water and it "evades" for a second and then it just didnt follow anymore.
Also, the video you linked for kiting is not very useful for classic since hunters have a timer for their attacks. The jumping thing only really works with instant abilities like arcane shot.
you can exploit Klinfran bei jumping on off that roof at 24 52 there is also a video on youtube search for Easiest way to Klinfran The Crazed. Very very easy to kill that way took me 2 min
Nice guide, but i cant express my frustrations when i see that you overlap your wingclip with a concussive shot on the last demon, instead of waiting with using it till wingclip runs out :D
the dog will not despawn for most people this strat is invalid, the guy in winterspring pats around if someone else kills him and the spawn timer and pat area is ghastly, make sure you use RANK 3 wing clip on the silithus guy, and god knows what else im gonna find out about when i try the last one
The last demon of your video the EASY way to kill him is to jump into the tree branch just besides that pit, makes it the easiest demon to kill out of the 4.
this is very easy, kite her pet around the lake with cheetah, serpent stink and rank 1 arcane shot. simone will follow but never get in range to cast on you. once the pet is dead or so low health it moves very slow, do the same exact thing to simone. kite and serpent sting that is it!
what i did was pull her with a scattershot so the pet will run into your trap, and then kite her away to the lake as fast as possible, if you outrange the pet it will usut leave you alone and u can just fight her.
So you have to kill mobs without the hunter's key weapon, a pet? What's this? Are there melee classes that can't use armor for their quest, or mages that have to complete theirs without using magic? wha..?
@@jaschlit It kind of invalidates all specs and play styles other than the one they want you to use, though. If you level to 60 with Beast Mastery you're screwed. Even if you pay for the double respec you practically have to relearn how to play the class without the pet before attempting it. Shouldn't have to do that for a class that's was built around a pet. I dunno, though, that's why I wondered if they did that for all classes with these weapon quests-- forcing them to play their weak points.
yes, as soon as the demon has been pulled, everything that helps the hunter causes it to despawn.. rebuffing, healing or attack the demon will cause it to despawn, as you saw the priest used power word shield on Nobbel and the Demon stopped and tells the hunter that they are a coward
Killing Kilfran the way that you did would of been impossible without good gear. When I did it 10 years ago I had to kite him to conserve mana and wait for mana pot cooldowns
You can't have ANY assistance on these fights, including your pet. If you do, the demon will claim it is an unfair advantage and will despawn for 15 minutes.
The un goro one no longer can be seperated, just concussive the pet and hard-shot the main demon, feign after. The burning steppes one needs max rank scorpid sting, not rank 1.
back when hunters had to have at least some skill to get these items. Last time we saw hunter challenges since this was the spider collection in firelands. Never had quests like this that require something to be soloed on other classes, we truly get to show off we are skilled. No leveled enough for this yet but i cant wait to redo it on classic.
Other than having her reset on me several times, I agree that she seemed the easiest to kill since you can range her cast easily and actually get a few shots in.

On Solenor - Explosive trap in the beginning is huge help too, got him down before recklessness wore out because I didnt have to move at all
Brilliant Mana Oil and Mana Potions are more than enough to keep your mana up. Also, don't forget the ZG potions.

No auto shot timer addon? How can you live without that??? Talking about grenades: have you tried to use them on any of the demons? Also no Demonslayer 2H (enchanted with Demonslaying), are you that cheap, or just never crossed your mind to buy one? Would Really Sticky Glue work on the bosses? Or Magic Dust?

It actually still works, i pulled quiet a few times trying different variations of how to do it, what i did when i saw precious in the distance i dipped into the water and it "evades" for a second and then it just didnt follow anymore.

Im having the same problem right now, just trapping the dog and trying to kite and kill her before he catches up
You scatter and concuss the dog. Keep cheetah on and range her spell casts. only use viper if you need. Dont need to slow her.

Also, the video you linked for kiting is not very useful for classic since hunters have a timer for their attacks. The jumping thing only really works with instant abilities like arcane shot.

I believe both Paladins and Warlocks were to go to DM for their lvl 60 mount, I cant remember any weapon or armor class quests going there.

you can exploit Klinfran bei jumping on off that roof at 24 52 there is also a video on youtube search for Easiest way to Klinfran The Crazed. Very very easy to kill that way took me 2 min

Nice guide, but i cant express my frustrations when i see that you overlap your wingclip with a concussive shot on the last demon, instead of waiting with using it till wingclip runs out :D
the dog will not despawn for most people this strat is invalid, the guy in winterspring pats around if someone else kills him and the spawn timer and pat area is ghastly, make sure you use RANK 3 wing clip on the silithus guy, and god knows what else im gonna find out about when i try the last one

The last demon of your video the EASY way to kill him is to jump into the tree branch just besides that pit, makes it the easiest demon to kill out of the 4.

this is very easy, kite her pet around the lake with cheetah, serpent stink and rank 1 arcane shot. simone will follow but never get in range to cast on you. once the pet is dead or so low health it moves very slow, do the same exact thing to simone. kite and serpent sting that is it!
what i did was pull her with a scattershot so the pet will run into your trap, and then kite her away to the lake as fast as possible, if you outrange the pet it will usut leave you alone and u can just fight her.

key weapon is a bow and your ability, or lack of, to kite.
@@jaschlit It kind of invalidates all specs and play styles other than the one they want you to use, though. If you level to 60 with Beast Mastery you're screwed. Even if you pay for the double respec you practically have to relearn how to play the class without the pet before attempting it. Shouldn't have to do that for a class that's was built around a pet.
I dunno, though, that's why I wondered if they did that for all classes with these weapon quests-- forcing them to play their weak points.
Do they also despawn if you heal the hunter?
yes, as soon as the demon has been pulled, everything that helps the hunter causes it to despawn.. rebuffing, healing or attack the demon will cause it to despawn, as you saw the priest used power word shield on Nobbel and the Demon stopped and tells the hunter that they are a coward

Killing Kilfran the way that you did would of been impossible without good gear. When I did it 10 years ago I had to kite him to conserve mana and wait for mana pot cooldowns
You can just melee him, depending on what weapon you use, swing around 3 times, wing clip, run away and wait for enrage, scorpid, rinse and repeat

why no pet tho ?
You can't have ANY assistance on these fights, including your pet. If you do, the demon will claim it is an unfair advantage and will despawn for 15 minutes.

This seems true.. can't get pet to drop aggro. Making this much harder. I've only tried Winterspring and Ungoro Demons. Unable to down either yet.

The un goro one no longer can be seperated, just concussive the pet and hard-shot the main demon, feign after.
The burning steppes one needs max rank scorpid sting, not rank 1.

back when hunters had to have at least some skill to get these items. Last time we saw hunter challenges since this was the spider collection in firelands. Never had quests like this that require something to be soloed on other classes, we truly get to show off we are skilled.
No leveled enough for this yet but i cant wait to redo it on classic.
For simone, you can literally just kite her around the lake like you would with artorius, i consider simone to be the easiest.
Other than having her reset on me several times, I agree that she seemed the easiest to kill since you can range her cast easily and actually get a few shots in.
