How do you say this is truth? If we're in the thousand year reign where is Christ we're supposed to be worshiping Christ if we're not ruling with Him. Also it's supposed to be 1000 years of peace without satan.
Thank you Pastor Wolfmueller. As a new Lutheran and thankfully now a member as of yesterday...this short video explains well where I have been for at least 8 years now. I am the only one in my family who believes we are living now, in the 1000 years. It is hard sometimes...because some are not so accepting of this view...but I just press on and pray.

Even as a Baptist, I wholeheartedly subscribe to Amillenialism. The big question is what about the other side? Historicist, Partial Preterist, Idealist, or Futurist.? I would love to hear your insight.

I cant tell you what a RELIEF it was to me when I started listening to Lutheran teachers and theologians and realized that there were other non-Roman Christiams who were A-millenial. I came to Christ in my 20s out of a totally secular home, and got saved into a very dispensational, premillenial milleau and it just NEVER made sense to me that Jesus would come and reign for 1000 years before final judgement. Like- how anticlimactic is that? But the Amillenial approach makesso much more sense to me and when I discovered it was the historical beluef of most of the church I was relieved and a little perterbed that no one ever explained to me that there was more than one view!

“God may perhaps grant them repentance leading to a knowledge of the truth (eis epignōsin alētheias)” (2 Timothy 2:25).
Why doesn't God grant repentance to all if He desires all to be saved?

Let me start by saying that you do great work. But this is the problem I have with most religions. People say you can't interpret the Bible. What it says must be taken literally. Then people say this is what it says but this is how you should interpret it. The earth was made in 7 days but if you use the logic here the earth was then made in 7 thousand years. You can't have it one way here and another there. It either says and means what it says or it doesn't.
Litterally where it's meant & not literal where it's not , just like real life ..... You ve never thought it was actually raining cats & dogs I'm guessing , Jesus never thought s camel could ever fit through eye of a needle . Bible is really like real life . People don’t get that if god wanted you guys to know when the end is he would’ve made sure it was written. Jesus made it clear that he or us will not know the hour. Jesus never once said all these things were happening in the future.

In the thousand years Christ reigns on the Earth and Satan is bound so he cannot influence man to sin. It is a peaceful time. Those left on Earth that weren't taking up into the clouds with Jesus... Live in a 1000 year peace worshiping Jesus. That is literally the opposite of what is happening now. Where we are now is where the Bible talks about how we will be in the last days. Full of sin wrong will be alright alright will be wrong. If you truly don't want truth and you will be deceived. So you either want truth or you want to be deceived.
Hi Bryan isn’t 1000 years Chilia in the Greek plural. I’ve heard Ancient Greek numbering didn’t start the counting until they got to 2. So is it really 2 thousand years and we are living in it now and almost ending, that Christ has been living and reigning in the hearts of believers now.
It was cleared in the bible in revelation that christ will reign after he came back again the question is do christ came back after he goes to heaven obviously not thats why 1000 reign is not happening right now that is your own conclusion

You are "reading into" the text your own opinions, meaning of words, etc. rather than "reading out of" the Word. Remember, the Word was not written in English, but Koine Greek. If you say yes, what position and which countries does Christ give you to reign? Is Satan bound in a bottomless pit now? If you can believe that God used to dwell amongst us as a human for 33 and a half years, is it difficult for you to believe that he will dwell again on earth as a human in a glorified body for a 1.000-years? Pay attention that the Bible says satan cannot "deceive the nations no more". Don't You know the prime character of satan is a deceiver (John 10:10)?
If the deceiver is locked down so that the nations are not deceived anymore, and all evildoers are killed (Rev 19:21) by Jesus, who now reigns absolutely, how come you say: there is still evil on earth?
What Criteria you use to Decide what is literal or not?
The type of literature and how it was historically read. Revelation is of the Apocalyptic type of literature, and this is always symbolic, not to be read literally. It's a mistake of our modern, literal-minded western culture to assume it is literal, and to assume it is all about our own times. It's relevant to us, but not ABOUT us.
I think the millennium started sometime in the first century or at the founding of Constantinople and ended either in 1054 with the schism or ended in 1453 with the fall of Constantinople

Revelation 20's distinct release of Satan thence bound for a short while AFTER a thousand years is completed, mitigates against the allegorical interpretation of "the whole enchilada," making that all-encompassing generalization seem rather oversimplified and flippant to the TIME statement it is applied to. How do you generalists reconcile this incongruity? I'll add the apparent inconsistency that the curious mention of Methuselah's 969 years IS taken in a literal comparison to a literal thousand years. (Interestingly, Methuselah was not alone. Jared, forefather to Noah, was given to be 962 years of age.) The limitation apparent and obvious is that the text does not seem to be speaking to an unlimited amount of time, but rather a period that has a definite beginning and a definite end in the disclosed agenda, where Satan is loosed to successfully deceive yet once again. Further, Matthew 8:29 appears to indicate the times are appointed: "Have you come to destroy us before the time?"; also, perhaps, Revelation 12:12 which says, "Therefore rejoice, you heavens and you who dwell in them! But woe to the earth and the sea, because the devil has gone down to you! He is filled with fury, because he knows that his time is short".

Only Christ, and none other, ascended and a cloud received Him out of the eleven apostles' sight(Acts 1: 9). The phrase "Caught up," in Revelation 12: 5, is used exclusively for Christ's ascension. The phrase "Caught away," in Acts 8: 39, is used in the sense that Philip, having been quickened by the Lord, hastened to travel on and was no longer in sight at Gaza, but he was later found on Earth, 19 miles away at Azotus. Paul, in 2 Corinthians 12: 2-4, is unsure whether being caught up was one that included the body, or one that took place in separation of the body. Paul remained on Earth until his death. No one, but Christ, has ever nor will ever ascend far above all heavens(Ephesians 4: 10) to sit on the right hand of power(Matthew 26: 64). Furthermore, 1 Corinthians 15: 51-52 states that the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised in-corruptible, and we shall be changed(See also John 5: 25) if Christ were to return in our life-time. Nothing in Scripture carries the context that the Second Coming of Christ will involve believers ascending and disappearing from the Earth. In Revelation 11: 12, ascended refers to the resurrection saints(1 Thessalonians 4: 17). Here, ascend is used metaphorically, in revelation 11: 12, to mean the resurrection of the dead at Christ's one-time return to Earth. Revelation 11: 12 also has cross-references -- Isaiah 14: 13/60: 8/Acts 1: 9.
The Isaiah 14 passage speaks of the Babylonian king who thinks that he will ascend above God, but he does not. Romans 10: 6 instructs us to say not in thine heart, who shall ascend into heaven?, or, who shall descend. The Isaiah 60 passage mentions doves flying back to their windows or dove cotes(Nests). Here, the prophet's focus looks West, and he sees the sails of ships on the Mediterranean sea horizon as coming to the restored and renewed Jerusalem, likening what he sees as doves flying back home. The prophet's focus turns from East to West, where far away Western multitudes(Gentiles) will come to Christ. Paul took Christianity as far West as Spain. This took place after Christ's ascension(Acts 1: 9). Jews and Gentiles who receive Christ will take their place in one resurrection(Revelation 11: 12), when the kingdoms of this world are become the kingdoms of our Lord and his Christ(Revelation 11: 15). 1 Thessalonians 4: 17, then, is where Paul, it seems, is describing something open and public; see also "There enemies beheld them(Revelation 11: 12)." Christ's Second Coming will not be private, and no private rapture to mean the taking or removal of believers from Earth, can be found. At the Second Coming of Christ, the great voice from heaven said to them, "Come up." The phrase "Come up" has the sense of believers being quickened to transport themselves or climb up and meet the coming Christ and cloud of judgement of saints and angels, and for the dead to come forth out of their graves, to be part of the New Heaven and New Earth. At the first coming of Christ, to Earth, the shepherds(Luke 2: 15) were quickened and they traveled to
Bethlehem to see the new-born Christ. It was the angels who were gone away from them into Heaven, but the shepherds remained here on Earth at the same time that Christ was here. After Lazarus departed in death, from the Earth, Jesus commanded Lazarus to "Come forth" here on Earth, and Lazarus arose from the grave and joined Jesus, Martha, and Mary for supper; Lazarus was one of them that sat at the table with him
(John 12: 1-2).
Christians on Earth, who have passed from judgement to life, will be received by God's veil of Sovereignty(Cloud is a metaphor) and of His veil of vindicated saints(Hebrews 12: 22-23), and innumerable company of angels. Hebrews 9: 28 says that Jesus is coming a second time. Revelation 21 gives a final illustration of Christ's Second Coming.
Other Scripture passages, such as Zechariah 14: 5-9 and
Matthew 17: 1-11, are cross references that explain the likes of Christ's Second Coming.
The term "Coming" is also used as a judgement metaphor in Scripture, as well, but it does not always have to do with Christ's Second Coming.
When Jesus says, in the court that is condemning Him to death, "But I say to all of you, in the future you will see the Son of Man sitting at the right hand of the Mighty One and coming with the clouds of heaven," in Matthew 26: 64, Jesus was making an overt reference to His coronation as the Son of Man referred too in Daniel 7: 13
(Revelation 1: 7). Here, before the very court that was condemning Jesus to death, He not only is claiming to be the pre-existent Sovereign of the universe, but He was also prophesying that He would vindicate his claim. Jesus words were metaphoric; His words cut Caiaphas and the court that was condemning Christ, to the quick. Caiaphas well knew that(Isaiah 19) clouds were a common Old Testament symbol that pointed to God as the All Sovereign Judge of the nations. Jesus employs cloud symbolism to warn His hearers that judgement fell on Egypt, so too judgement will fall on Jerusalem. The destruction of Jerusalem, by Titus, was the fulfillment of Jesus' prophecy of Great Tribulation, with the Temple being destroyed in 70 A.D. The destruction of the Jewish Temple imagery is expanded on in Revelation 18. The total number of those who died in the siege was 1,100,000. Yet this Great Tribulation of 70 A.D., or Neronian persecution, instigated by the Roman beast, is the archetype for every type of tribulation, until the reality of resurrection at the second appearing of Jesus Christ. Revelation 11 speaks of the Jerusalem Temple while it is still intact(Before it's destruction).
Finally, if by rapture we mean going out to meet the Sovereign of the universe and escorting Him back to Earth, then the term "Rapture" yields to the Biblical context; surely, St. Jerome intended for his Latin translation not to have any other meaning, other than understanding the use of metaphoric language, and it's context with the whole of Scripture. Conversely, if by "Rapture" we mean believers will be secretly removed from the Earth to the place from where Christ presently reigns, and where Christ's reign has already been inaugurated since His resurrection and His ascension to God's throne, then there is no rapture.

At 99.999999995% speed of light, the length of 1 second relative to Earth would be around 27.7778 hours. 1 minute would be 69.4445 days, 5.2595 min/year, [x10] 52.5959 hrs/decade, [x10] 3.6525 days/century.
1 day would be 273.7853 years. 3.6525 days would be 1000 years on Earth.
1000 years on Earth = 365,250 days.
365,250(days)/1000=365.25 days(1year)x1000=1000 years (365,250 days in a full circle)
A thousand years is 365,250 times greater than a day. A day is 365,250 times less than a thousand years.

Also God was not lying to Adam that he would die that Day he sinned (he died 70 yrs short of 1,000 exactly to the very hour).

We’re definitely in the millennium for lack of a better term. But it’s only been a thousand years since Christ. Not 2,000. An additional 1,000 years were added to our timeline when dates that began with the letters [j] or an [i] meaning Ieasous or Jesus, were changed to a number [1]. So for example, the year Anno Domini j.776 became 1776 with the adoption of the Gregorian Calendar. It sounds crazy because it is. But it’s true. It was at this time, that the small horn changed times and law. We are now in the age of the great delusion and time of test. The adversary has been unbound and his little season is upon us. Which really should be obvious at this point, that we’re living in a time of deception.
The reign of the Christ of God for a thousand years (and I believe this is 1,260 years for exact) is also the reign of his body, the church, for they constitute the one man appointed by God to execute a fair judgment. It is fair because the power of darkness will be bound during that time and so the power of light will rule and the power of lawlessness is revealed or exposed. All people of the earth during this day, therefore, have no excuse. Who will stand? Who will endure? For this man will be like a refiner's fire and a launderer's soap. The prophecy says, "On that day, 2/3 in all the land will be struck down and perish but 1/3 will be left. This third part will be purified like silver and tested like gold. God will call them his people and they will call him as their God." The wicked will not recognize this great day of heat and drought and will even hate it but the people of the righteous will receive favor and they will perceive this day which they have waited for so long. Many souls who took part in this first resurrection will work as priests. They will offer their own bodies to God as their living sacrifices. They are no longer belong to the dead. Their old heads were cut-off and were replaced by the righteous one because of the powerful testimony of Jesus and of the word of God.
I’m not a theologian but there are many distinct steps BEFORE the Millennium ( rapture, seals broken, etc..)and we haven’t experienced any of them. So no, we are not living in the Millennium.
James 1:16 says: Do not err, my beloved brethren. This Amillinealist doctrine is not sound. Contrasting and comparing the 1000 years of Revelation 20 to 1Peter is not doable. One is Fixed and the other is Rollover.

RAPTURE'S UNBIBLICAL AND BIBLICAL MEANING
It was St. Jerome who translated "Caught up," in 1 Thessalonians 4: 17, to "Rapture." From the Greek "Harpazo," we get "Caught up." Jerome translated "Harpazo" to "Rapiemur" in his Latin Vulgate translation. The understanding of metaphoric language causes us to arrive at the meaning in context with the whole of Scripture; this meaning originally defined "Rapture" as well; either Greek or Latin, the meaning remains the same. This article is intended to give an answer as to why Eastern Orthodox, Anglicans, Roman Catholics, Lutherans, Reformed, United Methodists, United Church of Christ, and Presbyterians, do not subscribe to "Rapture" as a specific theological term.
Baptists, Brethren Churches, Pentecostals, Independent Christian Churches, and various Evangelical groups, typically adhere to "Rapture" as meaning a secret removal of believers from Earth, as part one of a two part coming of Christ. Incidentally, Independent Christian Churches were once associated with Churches of Christ and Disciples of Christ Churches, but division occurred, between 1926 and 1971; those who believed membership should be the result of baptism, became separate Independent Christian Churches. New Testament Greek for "Caught up" is word # 726, "Harpazo(Harpadzo)" which, in various applications, means "To seize," or "To catch away(Or up)." Harpazo is a derivitive of Greek word 138, "Haireomai(Hahee-reh'-om-ahee)," which means "To take for oneself." Haireomai is probably akin to Greek word 142, "Airo(Aheero)" which means "To lift," "Take up(Or away)," and the terms are used figuratively for "To raise(Also applies to the voice)" or "To expiate sin," "Bear up," "Carry," "Lift up," "Loose," "Make to doubt," "Put away," "Remove." This same meaning applies when "Caught up" is seen in 1Thessalonians 4: 17. Harpazo, Greek word 726, also is applied to 2 Corinthians 12: 2, and 12: 4, and Revelation 12: 5. In Acts 8: 39, Greek word # 726 applies to "Caught away" to mean "Take away."
Rapture originates from the Latin Vulgate, and we get the word by way of St. Jerome(347-420 A.D.). The Alexandrian understanding(Roots tracing back to Philo) viewed the Millennium(1,000 year reign of Christ) as a symbolic reign of Christ from Heaven. The Alexandrian theologians' allegorical interpretation, through the influence of Origen and Augustine, rose to prominence, and it's eschatology became the majority view for more than a thousand years. St. Jerome and St. Basil were also connected to the catechetical school of Alexandria(Egypt). Jerome and Augustine vigorously opposed a literal one-thousand years reign of Christ(Chiliasm). The Syrian theologians(School of Antioch) insisted on a literal hermeneutic, which logically leads to chiliasm. In the earliest days of the Church, chiliastic teaching was the dominant view, before the Alexandrian view of a deeper textual meaning rose to prominence. Chiliasm(Millennialism), alone, is not to be confused with what began to surface as early as the late 1500s and the early 1600s, which was when issues with the word "Rapture" developed.
Some theologians, so it has been claimed, separated rapture from the Second Coming as early as 1627(Joseph Mede,"Clavis Apocalyptica"). Peter Jurieu(Deliverance of the Church-1687) taught that Christ would come in the air to rapture the saints and return to Heaven before the battle of armageddon; he spoke of a secret rapture prior to Christ's coming in glory and judgement. Then came Philip Doddridge's commentary on the New Testament(1738), followed by John Gill's New Testament Commentary(1748). As futurism(Non-applicable to history or the present)began to replace historicism, within premillennial circles in the 1820s, John Nelson Darby(Plymouth Brethren) claimed to have been first to understand the view of Morgan Edwards(Baptist and founder of Brown University). Edwards, in 1742-'44, saw a distinct rapture three and a half years before the start of the Millennium(Dictionary of Premillennial Theology). J.N. Darby is the fountain-head for the modern version of the doctrine. Darby was associated with the Brethren movement, and it was by the Brethren movement that the doctrine of the rapture spread around the world; the doctrine became more popular by Hal Lindsey in the 1970s(Late Great Planet Earth, and A Thief In The Night), and it was further popularized by Tim LaHaye(Left Behind) in 1995. Pre-tribulation is the most widely held view in America today, although this view is disputed within Evangelicalism. Until Darby, the translation of the Greek "Caught up," to the Latin "Rapture," by Jerome, was in apparent subjection to the Biblical context of
1 Thessalonians 4: 17.
Christians always understood 1 Thessalonians 4: 17 to be the resurrection of the dead as one event, that will occur when Jesus Christ returns to Earth. The Lord will descend from Heaven with a shout, the dead in Christ rise first, after-which those who are alive and remain will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air, and all of this will be one single and sudden event. The exegesis(Understanding of Biblical message), of 1 Thessalonians 4: 17, is based on metaphoric language. the metaphor "We will meet the Lord in the air" is in a sense, as though the towns people are going out to meet Christ and escort Him to Earth, when He returns. It Is a fact that, when dignitaries came to a town, they remained outside the walls, while the towns-people ran out to meet the important person and escort him back through the city gates. Jesus' parable of the Bridegroom(Matthew 25: 6) described His coming in the context of a visiting dignitary's arrival: There was a cry made, Behold the bridegroom cometh; go ye out to meet him. There is also the parable of the Great Banquet(Matthew 22: 1-14/Luke 14: 15-24).
In the Genesis flood event, it was the wicked people who were taken in judgement, but the righteous remained. According to the flood narrative context, the wicked are taken in judgement in Matthew 24: 37-40. In the judgement of Egypt(Exodus 14) the Egyptians were taken, but Moses and the Israelites remained. All who are in the graves shall hear His voice, and shall come forth: they that have done good, unto the resurrection of life: and they that have done evil, unto the resurrection of damnation(John 5: 28-29).
The Lord already reigned a thousand years as The Word in the time of prophets then became flesh 2 Peter 10 also says But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night in which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise and the elements shall melt with fervent heat the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up. Seeing then that all these things shall be dissolved, what manner of persons ought ye to be all holy conversation and godliness looking for and hasting unto the coming of the day of God wherein the heavens being on fire shall be dissolved and the elements shall melt with fervent heat Nevertheless we according to His promise look for new heavens and a new earth wherein dwelleth righteousness. This is from the disciple that walked and talked to Jesus and this is his teachings
Perhaps this use of 1000 shows in the bride’s comment on Song of Solomon that “those who listen for her voice” (their new babies?) only get 200 (two breasts to nurse?), but Solomon gets 1000- a way to say that he still has all of her.
In Revelation no # or time is literal.
This sounds great but when aligned with scripture it doesn't hold up for we see Satan deceiving humans and nations to this very day when the Bible is clear about Satan being bound during that 1000 year reign so that he has no influence on earth while Yeshuah rules. So we really have two choices, do we ignore scripture or accept it even when it goes against out own beliefs. Satan is certainly bound for he can no longer separate God's children from the love of God that we have in Christ Jesus our Lord. He can only influence those who bind themselves with him by loving sin and self instead of believing in Christ the Lord.
I would say this (as I agree with Wolfmueller): the interpretation which you present is extremely new in the church. So my first question to you is: if your interpretation is correct, why didn’t the Holy Spirit guide others to it until well after a literal 1,000 years of church history?
Second point: Satan seized global dominion at the Garden, tempting Adam and deceiving him so as to take the nations for himself. At Christ’s temptation in the wilderness, we see Satan (no longer cloaked as a serpent but in his unadulterated power and presence) tempt the Second Adam… three times, no less! This Second Adam is even offered the nations and dominion that the first Adam relinquished to Satan… yet, Christ does not give in. This is the binding of Satan with the “chain” that’s mentioned in Revelation. As Christ Himself said, He “binds the strong man… [to] plunder his house” (Mark 3:27). So, my second question is this: when John wrote Revelation, do you think his original audience understood his letter in the same way that you understand it? I think his audience would be far more likely to interpret with Genesis and the Four Gospels in hand. What do you think?
I have a problem with the explanation of the one thousand years reign of Christ not being literal, but that we're living in it now. Not everything in the Bible is leteral, but not everything in the Bible is allegorical or a metaphor either! Here's where prayer, The Holy Spirit and rightly dividing the Word of God comes through what we call, discernment leading us to the right interpretation of a passage, a teaching found in the Bible. In Act 1 right before Jesus ascended to Heaven, the disciples asked Jesus; “Lord, will You at this time restore the kingdom to Israel?” Everyone in Israel was waitng for the Messiah, the one who would reign from Jerusalem after the throne of King David, they did not know it was going to be for one thousand years. Take a listen to the angel telling Mary about baby Jesus to be conceived in Luke 1. . . "He will be great, and will be called the Son of the Highest; and the Lord God will give Him the throne of His father David. 33 And He will reign over the house of Jacob forever, and of His kingdom there will be no end.” The reign of Christ is a leteral thing, is in the future, it has not happened yet, and no, we're not living in the Millennium either! Remember the Rock coming from Heaven and destroy all the kingdoms of the earth and fill the whole earth, the Rock is Jesus coming at the end of the Tribulation Period and set up His leteral Kingdom from Jerusalem for one thousand years . . . Revelation 20:1-7 mentions a literal one thousand years six times, and no, is not a season or a time, but a literal one thousand years. The Millennium reign of Christ is just a taste of what God has after all the judgments are passed and a new earth and a new Heaven with the new Jerusalem and King Jesus will reigh, God Himself will be in our midst. We are not in the Millennium reign of Christ . . . where is Isaiah chapter 11, and 65:25. We have been around about six thousand years and when Jesus comes in His Second Coming (not the Rapture of the Church), His reign will be a type of Sabbath day (Millennium), a rest for God and a rest for the earth and Israel. Christ reign of 1,000 years begins with the binding of Satan and his abyssing. Clearly, that hasn’t happened yet so the 1,000 year hasn’t begun! Revelation 20:4 is not symbolic, but refers to a thousand solar years. This judgment “day”will literally be one thousand years long. In addition, at Revelation 20:3,5-7 we read four different times, not of “a thousand years,” but “the thousand years.” This would indicate a period of definite length.

Bryan, you've convinced me that there are Figurative usages of 1000 years, but that still doesn't prove that there isn't a Literal usage of 1000 years elsewhere in Scripture. The Figurative usages you referenced were used in a "Hyperbolic Context", but the 1000 year Millennial Reign in Revelation is of a Literal usage because it is used in "Time Statement" contexts. Many believers in Christ debate amongst themselves as to whether the Kingdom of God is "Spiritual" or "Literal", because it is a default of human nature to have an "Either/Or mentality". If you offer me "Either" cookies "Or" ice cream, I may say get cute and cry out, "Both!"--Lol... The KoG is BOTH Spiritual AND Figurative--no need to get bogged down in false dichotomies, eh? Jesus preached the KoG throughout His entire earthly ministry because God made a promise to Abraham which He intends to keep. Mankind has a tendency to think of "Spiritual" as something outside of what we normally perceive as "Reality".
When Jesus said "in thine midst of thee" to the Pharisees, He was literally in their midst AS He said it! Why? Because He is the Kingdom personified, that stood in their midst. Since "God is in Christ in us", we have the "Spiritual" component of the prophecy (i.e. built without hands). BUT, the literal physical component of the prophecy is yet to be fulfilled. Perhaps the "Partial Preterists" are on to something! Ask yourself this, Bryan: "Why would all the time statements in Revelation be literal except for the 1000 years?". The Figurative usages of a 1000 years you've cited POINTS to the Literal usage in Revelation.
There is a Millennial Week (1000 years to a day) in God's overall plan, wherein God has allotted 6000 years to Man (i.e. 6 days to do thine work) and then the Millennial Sabbath in Jesus, in whom we have our rest. The annual Sabbaths (i.e. Harvest Feasts) in the O.T. attest to this interpretative key. I don't think one has to be a Futurist or Legalist, or any "-ist" to understand this. Although I do admit that I have my doubts when it comes to temples, and a continued sacrificing of animals. btw., you sound a lot like Jeff Goldblum.

Those of the old covenant could also provisionally enter into Gods rest, just as we can today.
The dispensation of Grace are days five and six of the cosmic (day = 1,000 years) week, and rest on the seventh day, just as the seventh day sabbath, and the seventh year sabbath rest for the land under the old covenant.
God is the same yesterday as today and forever.

And what of the length, and the width and the height of the new city prepared for us in heaven? Are those numbers merely symbolic? I think not.
If we are *constant* in our interpitation then we have to take the other numbers in Revelation as being literal.
If you did the count then there are only 74 generations to the birth of Christ Luke 4 the rest is history. regardless of translation you will find that the NT quotes Jesus to be the same LORD as in the OT (YHWH). you cant get around it. Jesus is LORD!
