Q: What the hell happened in That Sinking Feeling??
A: So, there's an exploitable glitch called crystal duplication (dupe), it involves dying at the same time you destroy the final ship. You need to be high enough in the air so that Crash's death animation matches the same amount of time it'd take for the game to reward you with a crystal. After you respawn, the game keeps whatever crystal you have stored and rewards you with another one upon finishing the level normally. Can be done up to 4 times to skip the entire warp room, although it is NOT humanly viable at the moment.
Q: Why do you keep angling Crash into a wall?
A: Much like Crash 2, TWoC has a movement tech called wall-boosting, which is done by angling your character (Crash, Coco and the Mech) about 45 degrees into any flat wall. However, unlike in Crash 2, where its use is mainly in a handful of levels, TWoC's wall-boosting can be done in any place where there's a flat wall. Doing a perfect wall-boost makes your character go nearly twice as fast as they would normally, matching slide speed. Wall-boosting typically helps with maximizing distance while in the air and generally keeping the speed up while airborne.
Q: How are these loading times so fast?
A: I'm playing the game via a homebrew program called Open PS2 Loader, which is a program that loads ISO files straight through the PS2. Essentially, it's an emulator that runs off the actual hardware.
Q: Why are you playing on the Japanese PlayStation 2 version?
A: TWoC was originally made to be a PS2 game, and as such was optimized to fit the PS2's hardware perfectly, which in turn made it the best performing port of the game. Korean/Greatest Hits PS2 is better for any%, I just happened to get this run during TWoCtober, the month in which I play a different port and different category every day.

Well, that was pretty much it. My blood pressure sorta tanked after I got my shot, and it caused me to pass out. It was only for maybe 20 seconds and I was back to normal, but it was still a very scary thing to experience.

Since there’s a double crystal trick in That Sinking Feeling, does that mean that Sea Shell Shenanigans’s crystal is gone or can it still be obtained?

It can still be obtained normally, the game just skipped the level upon dupe, so it says I have 24/25 crystals by the end.

isnt there a glitch on black label where you can press select on level 4 to skip to the end? what's the reason you're not using it?

That glitch is banned, but also it's only accessible in the time trial, which you of course don't do in any%. :)
