Fantastic pal - great to session wee bits like that that give you the fear! Get to show others like me different ways to tackle tricky sections like that!
Mate, we were there on Saturday just before the fire broke out! It wisnae us though! We did NY NY and Flat White was amazing! Dented my rim on the way down as well, gnarly! Will have to try out Kendal next time. Cheers for another great vid! Inspiring.
@@streetpigeonmtb excellent- hopefully off to Rogate BP about an hour from me this weekend. Went the other week and only two runs in my seat clamp fell apart - very annoying. Didn’t fancy riding without a seat😳! Good times
Another awesome vid mate. Kendal mint cake is an awesome wee trail isn't it! Must be running spectacularly down there just now. Totally jealous as I've done my back in so am off the bike for 2 months.
@@streetpigeonmtb cheers mate, ye am scunnered. the weather is soooo good at the moment and i cant ride. ye getting loads of physio at the moment. been told to stay off mountain bike and motorbike for a couple of months.
Cheers Struan. Honestly, you could easily just session that trail bud. So many features worth stopping at and learning. I was pretty pleased getting down it blind but I'd love to master it for sure 😁 Thanks for taking time to comment bud 👍
Thanks Ross. I was really pleased with that line actually. Its been on my tick list for a while, so it was great to have the confidence to give it a go. Thanks for taking time to comment 🙌
Thanks Andy. Yeah, I was pleased with the riding, especially as I was riding that trail blind. I'd like to get to know that trail and some of those rock drops. They look awesome 👌
Trails r looking great, Kendal mint cake looks mint!!!😂 Ur riding really seems to have moved on this year👏 , u talked about progressing at ur age, well u know u have a decade on me and I look to try and keep progressing ever ride I do so don’t ever let ur age stop u from trying new things. Looking forward to the next vid, keep them coming!!!
Couldn't agree with you more Alan. I think it's easy to let ideas about age and so forth slow you down. At the level we are riding at there is no reason why we can't continue to progress, injury aside. The videos will keep on coming. Not sure how much longer I'll manage weekly vids though. It's really difficult balancing that output with family and work! Speak soon bud 😁
Great vid as always Jamie. I could totally relate to your problem solving on that hi line, thanks for sharing that. Surprised you pulling the age card at the end though, never too old to crash a mountain bike I always say. In fact I've vowed (despite the name of my channel) to never even mention my age or use it as an excuse for anything. Take it easy and thanks for filming, Andy
Good attitude Andy! I guess for me I just get a bit more aware of risk these days. If I spanner myself for 6 weeks it makes kids and work difficult but I know what you mean!
Was in Innerleithen Saturday night and Sunday went to go to the golfie for the first time but was closed because of a wild fire hope all is well the trails look amazing can't wait to get back down again 🙌🙏👌👍love the videos class bit of riding 💪👏🏆
Nice one Sean. Thanks for taking time to comment, it's really appreciated. That fire was crazy. As far as I'm aware that's the first time trails have been closed here due to fire. You'll definitely need to get back up here when the trails are open again 👍
Fires are out now and the trails are back open. Numerous visits by the fire service helicopter on Sunday and a bit of rain seem to have sorted it. Thanks to all who kept away and let the fire service get on with sorting it out. Even if they did steal away the water pressure during my shower.
Amazing mate. I'm so glad you enjoyed the video. I'm really enjoying trying to progress my riding depite being a little older. There is plenty time to still improve. Thanks for the sub 😁
Superb mate, loved those trails, fantastic riding, always progressing, that’s the beauty of filming our rides, you get to see it for yourself, never too old to progress, we just get more stupid 😂👍🏻
Great video! Interesting to see your reaction and most of the commenters reaction to Kendal Mint Cake. I came across that trail over a year ago and just thought it was terrible 😂 Maybe need to give it another shot to find the flow.
Ha ha. Thanks so much for commenting mate. Always cool to know an awesome rider has watched your content 🙌 I defo enjoyed it. I need to go back and session it though. There were some really challenging features. Maybe we could get a wee collab on it with the Collective 🙌😁
Ha ha. That is class. You've made my day fella. I am off work as of next Thu and have some great flexibility. I would love to do a wee collab around taming that trail!
Mate, get yourself back on that bike and to the Golfie. There are so many trails there, really good ones at that! Let me know your thoughts if you make it 😁
@@streetpigeonmtb I will do just need to make time! I am only down the road in selkirk so no excuses just too much work on at the moment! I should really get up and go out in the mornings before work but that means getting up earlier haha 🤣🤣
Great video man, I rode the golfie for the first time a few weeks ago and was blown away by how good it was. I actually came up to that high line on my first run down and had to commit to that root gap last second. One big pull haha🤟🏻
Thanks Louis! Total respect for hitting that first time. I think I'd ridden past that high line about 20 times before I committed! Cheers for leaving a comment bud 👍
Wow some great trails there. Heading up on the hardtail in May. Lynn smashes it on the HT 😮 What would you say are the most suited trails for a hardtail?
Oh, good question! NYNY is pretty good on the HT. Flat White also and Right Syde Clyde. After that it's all relatively rough but trails like Greg Joliffes go. Hope you enjoy it! May will be a good month 😁
Pure entertainment as always. Congrats on clearing that line! Trails look mega steep even on YT. Any recommendations for "less average" riders doing a first ride at the Golfie?
Thanks mate. The first one I did, NYNY is one of the tamer ones. A really good starter. I also think Repeat Offender is good. If you get through NYNY OK then Repeat Offender is a good next step. Flat White is another firm fan favourite. It's straightforward enough, you just have to he careful as it can get quite loose, especially if it has been dry and busy. Hope that helps 👍😁
Have been to golfie during my holidays in may. Brougt my hardtail, too. Was so much fun.🤘🏻
Awesome mate. It's a great place isn't it 👍
Kendal mint cake looks class 🤙🏼
It is a mini epic mate. Lots going on and lots to catch you out! Loved it 😁
Nice one on the root gap....will have to get up there soon for a ride 🤘
Cheers Bobby. It's definitely worth scoping out next time you are up 👍
Finally catching up on my UA-cam this morn 😃 looks a great ride! Well done on that root gap, it is a nerve wracking one!!
Thanks Laura. I was so pleased to get that one 😁😁😁
Golfie so good 🔥🤟 Kendal mint cake 🔥🔥🔥👌
Totally. The trails are fantastic!
Yet another sick edit bro. Good to see you progressing and keeping on challenging yourself.

@@streetpigeonmtb what pad compound do u use on long descents like these?
Hi mate. I run sintered. I find other compounds wear to fast with all the mud and crap that gets on the pads, especially in winter.
