I also like the smaller binder for December daily. My first one a few years ago was more complicated than I think it should have been. I have definitely simplified the DDs and it’s not a chore during the holidays. Ali Edwards gave me ideas, but wasn’t my style. I’m open to new and different ways and will listen to Shimmell to see what she has to offer. Thanks for sharing your great ideas!😊

Good for you! Doing your own December Daily kit is a great idea! I likely have enough Christmas material in my stash to make up kits for the next 10 years! Christmas supplies are always so appealing and it’s so easy to just keep adding to your inventory. Thanks so much for the inspiration!

Love this Dorothy! My plans are very similar. I've been following along with Ali Edwards' DD & Shimelle's JYC for many, many years; however, I have yet to complete the first album. I don't mind that since I appreciate what I have gotten done. I tend to forget to take pictures because I get engrossed in the events as they’re happening, but love the photos from out and about. I've also been enjoying Elizabeth Craft Designs “Document December” for the last few years. Lately I've been watching a lot of Jamie Pate videos and I'm changing things up a bit by telling “December Stories”. I know it doesn't really matter what photo is put on any date in any of the albums, but something about telling (or recounting) daily activities, or stories, if you will, has resonated with me. It won't bother me a bit that the photo(s) are out of sync. I'm also switching it up further by trying a 9x12 album. (I know, go me!)
Love what you have put together. I need to go to the dollar store and do some shopping for a basket and compartments. Awesome idea!! I know I've seen it before but I finally see where something like this could really help me to coral projects that I'm working on much better than my current system (Fjalla - the small spaces are too small for easy access other than wash) or Iris bins. I’d rather flip through stuff than dig.
I'm excited to give this a go and actually complete an album (through New Year’s)! I cannot wait to see what everyone is doing this year. THANK YOU so much for so many wonderful ideas! Take care and stay warm.
You are welcome Cindy. I use this same system for my Mercy Tiara kits and it's been working well for me. I've never followed Elizabeth Craft Designs for a December project and I'm curious.
