I think in general chinese audience prefer the artist to really look like they are really into it, and feeling the song and all. But at the same time it doesn't mean they need to look emotional, but they are very attuned to the singers body language, it has to match the song, even if it's not your song you have to look earnest. And that why ZHouShen is so loved, he does that, well according to the interviews whether its our ear not we'd never really know what someone think, but he says he always tries to really be into it and feel the song when he performs, and also just watching him offs stage in shows he comes off as someone who is sincere. And I find it interesting the way you react to Japanese songs especially the ones that are form anime's and such. I guess it makes a lot of difference if you grew up watching them. As someone who doesn't sing, and maybe even those who sings like you, the sound they make when they sing, even if it's not "natural" in that it's a character voice doesn't really matter. It's again the sincerity of trying to be earnest and believable. I mean if you watch animations, all the voices are acting, and they even literally make up character voice that is far from their talking voice, but it's still moving. You don't get hung up over it not being the actor's speaking voice and just think the whole thing is fake and you can't really immerse yourself in the story. I mean animation as a whole is fake, it's not even live action with real people and emotion, they even have aliens and animals talking but it doesn't stop people from relating to it and being touched by it. Whether the sound is nasal, or whatever, as long as it's believable it's what matters, the emotion just has to get through to the audience.
40:22 this is how i feel too. The first time i heard the new gen WAND lead singer, I felt that he is able to sing as well as the how the first gen lead singer sing at his prime, but some how it still feel something is lacking and I still prefer the first gen lead singer.
It’s too bad there was no comparison with the original 90s version, when Sho Uesugi’s vocal was in his 20s soaring prime. By this concert he was already 50. Also, little besides the point but the guitarist in the concert is the actual writer of the song, Tetsuro Oda, while Uesugi wrote the lyrics.

「世界が终るまでは」這首歌是亞洲文化圈一個很重要的歌，很開心看見兩位老師專業的評論名曲，我也很喜歡兩位老師的評論，對我而言 WANDS 現任主唱上原大史肯定是唱得比較好的，因為他是視覺系樂團出身，所以唱歌技巧更華麗（而且上原大史還有翻唱 LiSA 的紅蓮華，非常有氣勢，可以聽聽看！）但是他是模仿原唱上杉昇的風格、再試圖去修正的更有技巧，仍無法撼動當年第一次聽見這一首歌的感動。
上杉昇的面罩化唱腔其實是 1990 年代的日式搖滾流行風格，你可以去聽當年很多日本樂團主唱都會使用這種風格唱歌，他的確可以衝出來更銳利的高音，雖然不是最完美的（感覺很刻意壓扁嗓音），但是他代表 1990 年代的集體記憶，尤其配合灌籃高手的片尾曲動畫一起看特別有感觸。
至於其他中國人翻唱的...去修改歌詞我就覺得不OK了，唱日文才原汁原味，改成中文就怪裡怪氣的。

两个版本都喜欢，但现在更喜欢みこと様的这个版本
