I flew the 3200 series as a Captain/Check Airman. A couple of thousand hours of pure flying joy! No Autopilot. No YD. Flew it to ATP parameters all the time. Today’s crowd couldn’t do it.
The Sperry FD was accurate. Shot many, many ILS approaches to 100’ above TDZE, right on the centerline.
The airplane was originally designed/used as a COD for the British Navy.
The main landing gear was stout, but could take anything.
I’ve flown everything from a C150 to a B767 and Bell helos and THIS airplane is my favorite!😊

Atlantic Coast Airlines/ACA Used for United Express at IAD. With the POD they were interesting to fly in. No frills just to get from point A to point B. A very small storage room for carry-ons
