Cashman should have been fired years ago. He's too obsessed with analytics that haven't won since they've adopted that attitude. He has done an effective job building a bullpen and a rotation, but year in and year out, the offense fails in October. Cashman hasn't had a good offense in over a decade.
Its not only that they lost the players. The players they have are just not good enough to win. I don’t care that they won 99 games last year. That team was still trash and there was no way they were winning the WS. Evident by the fact they were embarrassed in the ALCS. The fact that that team won 99 games is an anomaly.
Plain and simple the Yankee front office didn’t have the balls to tell Joe that they wanted to go in another direction so they gave him a bullshit deal that they knew he wouldn’t take. I think a change was necessary but the office should’ve been upfront about it
Classy manager. Wish there were more like him today. He had respect for himself.
I Love Joe Torre
Classy guy. I wish somebody would play this for Boone and Cashman. It’s time for them to realize they’ve lost the players.

@@The-CoffeeMan Their 99 wins was achieved in large part due to Judge staying healthy and hitting 61 dingers.
@@easy56wedge yeah. And when you needed him most, the ALCS, he batted .063. 1 hit in 17 PA over 4 games.
@@The-CoffeeMan Yup... I think his quest for 62 took too much out of him. Happened to Maris too - but HE performed in the WS.
I thought after his contract expired in 2007, George Steinbrenner wanted to reduce his $7 M to $5 M per season so Joe said “no”.

On a conference call Torre told Levine to STFU.
Joe was dissed. Plain and simple.
first and go yankees
He was handed a golden goose thanks to Buck Sholwater
