I have a crush on the girl on 0:36. Looks like a modern asian beauty. Also her having the best choreography in this sequence adds to her attractiveness
This is a correction of Kemika's list based on what I can currently gather: 0:00 American Young Girl (Someone mentioned on Reddit it could of been Tara Maxey, who owns a restaurant in LA) 0:01 Glen Chin - actor 0:06 Tyra Banks 0:11 Dena Goodmanson - model/actress, used to date Sylvester Stallone 0:14 Jeffery Anderson-Gunter - Jamaican actor 0:19 Veena Bidasha - Indian American actress 0:23 Black guy 0:26 Roberta Chow - actress and I think dancer 0:32 Young White Guy (seriously doubt it's C. They cut the first woman as they didn't like the transition to the big asian chap. Nothing wrong with her, they just couldn't render the scene in a flattering way. Remember they were working with SGI workstations, Amiga 2000s and Genlocks back then. Took hours rendering each frame
You can distinguish people who are dancers or models by the way they move. Tyra Banks, Veena Bidasha, Yuko Sumida Jackson and the white, blonde man have more "personality" in their movement than compared to Jeffery Anderson-Gunter or the black man. The black man actually did not know what to do, which you can see in his mimic.
I love the entire sequence, especially the one woman doing a full spin. Their energy is unmatched.
I always loved how the blonde boy turned into the blonde woman. It's a smooth transition, especially with the hair flipping.
Agree
yup, they pushed the computers to the max when they did this, each morph must have taken easy 6 or 8 hours in those old CPU.
I love the red woman & blonde woman. What are their names?
It was scaring when the ginger girl morphed to that ugly Jamaican!😂

2022 and this scene is still impressive. It made me reflect a lot on how the difference between all humans is just a shell. Ageless art.
You should watch Godley & Creme's video of "Cry". Film morphing with no digital effects.

Where did you get that version of morphing? Because the woman who appears in the beginning does not appear in the definitive video. And who is she?
From a PDI Promo VHS (its on youtube in full) and I dont know who or why she was cut from the beginning of the video, it's really weird.
