bought the Live 400bt yesterday. Sick upgrade from the old series. Blown away with its new features Alexa, google assistant, talk thru and ambient aware, but wait there’s more!😂 you can actually customized your preferred EQ from the JBL app. That’s pretty dope!
Dustrong Domination I just bought the 400bt today and they aren't comfortable to me at all. Wearing them actually hurts. I wanted to like them, but I'm just going to take them back. Maybe the 500bt would feel better, being over the ear instead of on ear?
Bought these as a Christmas gift for my sister, she has been looking for this type of headphones and one day I saw her looking at these, hope she likes the gift 😊 thank you for the review
The Bluetooth-button does not switch between devices, it's for enabling pairing mode. To switch between paired devices, you stop media playback on the current one and start it on the other one. The headphones will switch to the other device. Phone calls will come through automatically.
Is there a size difference between the JBL Live 500BT and the 650BTNC? Sound difference? I prefer the color of the 500BT with the gray accents compared to the gunmetal ones on the 650s. I would love to see a comparison video. Good job on this btw! :)
Got a pair of these on sale at Target last week for $75. I hadn't really been planning on buying new headphone but, wow, I'm glad I did. They're great!
@@owenvieira7223 They're pretty comfy but they've definitely got some clamping action going on. I've worn them up to an hour at a time and sometimes I'll get a bit of soreness at the crown of my head after 30 minutes, but that's easy to fix by moving them slightly. If you call a lightweight headset a pressure of one, and a David Clarke aviation (pilot) headset a pressure of ten, I'd rate these about a 7. The actual earpieces are very comfortable with memory foam and they seal well due to the pressure, even when wearing eyeglasses. Without noise cancelling on they're still really quiet. I have both the BT500 and the BT650NC and I like the feel of both.
@@omnipotato9231 I'd say the 650 has better sound. It's more "transparent" to me, plus the noise cancelling gives you the feeling you are isolated with the music (although it adds a very slight background hiss). The bass is good and punchy on both. So much so that I would never use them for "reference" work such as mixing, but they add fun to the music and put a smile on my face.
@@omnipotato9231 It's been a while since I did my side-by-side testing, but IIRC 650 is definitely equal to or probably slightly better than the 500. I'd be happy with either, though. I use the 500 on my TV and the 650 on my computer and it never crosses my mind to be disappointed with either.
Not overpowering but definitely present. They seem to be a relatively balanced. After a solid weekend of use I finally had to charge them. They are definitely my go to pair of headphones. :)
I just got these at target for "50% off" of $150. So I paid $75 plus tax. I've had so many pairs of over the ear headphones. I don't care for the noise canceling headphones as they do something pressure wise to my ears and give me a headache. These block out a TON of noise. I don't need noise canceling e headphones in most everyday settings anyway. THESE HEADPHONES ARE AWESOME!!!! THE BEST I'VE EVER HAD! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THEM!
Thank you for you detailed explanations on the features of this JBL Tune 500BT Headset. I got one today but the sound of this headset is too high.. it is minimum in my voluome control. However, it is still too high. How can I reduce it?
2 weeks so far handling sweat pretty well my coushins are soaked after working out but they usually dry out by their next use a day later. The only thing is I wish I didn't have to go into the app and turn the eq on everytime. Unfortunalty this is the only way to get the true sound out of these

I just bought those from target! Too bad they gave me the tune headphones instead of the live headphones. Looks like I cant return them until tomorrow. :(
Picked these up at my local target but have to return them. Crackling sounds on plastic where the earcups rotate. Also more noticeable and annyoing when you move your head or if your chewing gum or eating all your hear is the crackling sound more noticeable on the right earcup. But they do sound really good very clear not to much bass. Do you have ant type of crackling sound on your pair? It reminds me of the Audio Technica msr7 the same crackling sound
i personally like the features from the MIFO more but I have to say the bass response is slightly better from the Galaxy Buds. Can't go wrong with either but it's hard to find a better well rounded tru wireless earbud over the MIFO's for the money
Hey idk if a lot of y’all made ur decision - but with the JBL LIVE 500 - I was chatting with their reps they said while bass forward, the bass doesn’t muddy the mids/highs but the bass is something u can feel. Personally I ain’t neva tested but I think I’m going to go with the Sennheiser 4.40BTs especially since u can get em for $80 right now from Best Buy. JBL Lives go for $99 as of now same with Best Buy.
Relatable af tbh the ear pads on the Sennheiser HD 4.40 BT r much more comfortable - or maybe it’s the fact the clamp doesn’t feel like a vice grip on my head..? Anyway. U might really wanna get brainwavz earpads (quick google) for this set cuz I did find that after like 2+ hrs of usage 4 strictly music - the cartilage in the tips of my ears start to hurt. I had to take em off for 15-mins. I really recommend getting them as far as overall sound, portability, ez pairing, and amazing deal for only $80 (GET EM NOW @ Best Buy - not at all affiliated jst luv gud deals) vs $100+ for the 500s. It’s far from neutral for the sound btw - there’s quite a bit of bass but nowhere near levels the Beats or Sony XB series - definitely not neutral at all is my point, but quite clear and hi-res audio cuz aptX support (I think?..) is a plus I hear everything wen listening to music ranging frm RHCP, Title Fight, UGK, Babyface Ray, Pink Floyd, The Weeknd, ummm...shit idk - u can pretty much listen to ANYTHING on these and it’ll sound great! - if u only care bout clarity, don’t mind wired, and r okay w/open back VS closed back - I HIGHLY recommend the Phillips SHP9500s. I was watching this video in the store while buying it. Anyways, It’s kind of heavy on my head and it also rests on my jaw which cause immense discomfort. And it doesn’t have noise canceling feature! It does have a feature if you download the app to turn on Ambient Awareness, which allows you to listen to whatever is happening outside, like car noises, showers, even ACs, just so you don't completely isolate yourself.
