Let all the inhabitants of the land tremble, for the day of YHWH is coming; surely it is near, a day of darkness and gloom, a day of clouds and thick darkness. As the dawn is spread over the mountains, so there is a great and mighty people; there has never been anything like it, nor will there be again after it to the years of many generations. A fire consumes before them and behind them a flame burns. The land is like the garden of Eden before them but a desolate wilderness behind them, and nothing at all escapes them.
Their appearance is like the appearance of horses; and like war horses, so they run. With a noise as of chariots they leap on the tops of the mountains, like the crackling of a flame of fire consuming the stubble, like a mighty people arranged for battle." Joel 2:1-5

Just ferocious to hear the song of battle shakes and trembles the skull. It calls the men to war and women to rejoice. Let the singers of Asaph and Slingers of Benjamin be brought to the front of the lines. May they commence the attack and sing with triumph. Is not the day of Yahuah near? Are not His people crying out and does not their Master of Hope hear(Exodus 2) Let all the peoples of the land tremble. For the Mighty Men are arousing from their spiritual slumber. They are girding themselves with truth. Picking up righteousness as a breastplate their breath consumes the stubble as faith cuts through disbelief and doubt. May Yahuah arise may His enemies be scattered may all those who hate you flee before your face.

Here's an interesting story. I got my truck stolen early Monday morning. Made a police report and insurance claim and all that, and literally while I was in the middle of listening to this song, I finished my last comment and got a phone call just over half way through the song. The phone call was from a guy telling me he found my truck! The people who stole it love down the street from him. Wild! Praise Yahuah!!!

Joel 2 always got me wondering if it would be giants/titans (Yah's warriors) appearing out a nowhere destroying the earth. It would certainly explain why all the elite are building the bunkers and people would not believe their eyes and be in shock...nailed to the ground. These two are so unlikely, but yet, here they are at this time. What time is it ?
I'm really interested why this is such an upbeat song, and why people feel fine dancing and jumping around to it when it's about "A day of darkness and gloom, a day of clouds and thick darkness. " - do you think this 'army' is referring to His people or somethig? (someone just claimed that the other day on facebook)... this 'army' is not referring to His people, this is not a joyous moment.. this is what the internet search comes up with 'The verse you are referring to is actually Joel 2:9. It is from the book of Joel in the Bible. The verse describes an army of locusts that invades the land and destroys everything in its path. The verse reads: "They storm the city; they run along the wall; they climb into houses, entering through windows like thieves. Before them the earth quakes; the heavens tremble. The sun and moon grow dark, and the stars lose their brightness." ' this is a time of destruction, screaming, sadness, misery... could you imagine Noah and his family on the ark singing and dancing as the people outside are screaming as they get killed by the great floods around them?
Shalom! Good point! However, our goal was not to create a positive song. This is a dark song but at the same time it is victorious. When Yah put this song on my heart, I heard the beat of horses running. So the verse in Joel 2 confirmed “like war horses they run.” It is mainly about the army of Yah which will come and rush upon the earth. Keep in mind this verse that comes after the verses in the song “”And יהוה shall give forth His voice before His army, for His camp is very great, for mighty is the doer of His word. For the day of יהוה is great and very awesome, and who does bear it?“
So the energy in this song is mainly to encourage the believer to pursue Yah because the day of YHWH is coming! At least, this was my hope in writing this song. Blessings!

Go back and read the whole book of Joel! This is not an army to celebrate, this is a judgement on Israel in order to get them to repent. Once they repent, God promises that He will destroy this same army because of the evil that they did to God's people, Israel.
