@ well I have had a bit of a mental breakthrough by telling myself to just swing like it’s the warm up. In the past once I attached a point to my strokes I would change everything. Swing faster. Add more spin. Everything. So now I take in your ideas on using the between point time consistently. Loosen my grip, relax my shoulders then find the ball hit the ball.
Do you ever get annoyed if your partner is making more than his fair share of unforced errors? I find when this happens it can really affect my mood & I start feeling depressed. I find myself at a loss on how to suavely communicate to my partner on why we are losing. How do you handle it?
We all have spurts during matches or even entire matches when we stink it up. That's a reality. If your partner's quality of play affects your mood, then turn that match into a fitness opportunity for you. Work your butt off out there. There's nothing you can say to magically make your partner play better. Don't try to correct them. And for sure don't show that you're depressed.
@webtennis Yea, I start feeling the pressure to not make any mistakes & start trying to cover more area. But unfortunately, on most of these occasions I can’t carry the load enough and salvage a win when my partner is not consistent. 😞
Looking forward to this series
Stevie! Been awhile. What's your #1 question about mental toughness?

@@123Rockchild So what would be helpful from your partner on those days when you're not playing well?
