Lots of rich guys in these comments scoffing at 12gauge. Obviously 10 gauge or more is better, but then you're looking at $3-6k more for the same size safe.

@@musicman1eandalet them scoff. The ones worried about gauge and not fire ratings, are the ones who don’t layer their security and their metal gauge is irrelevant.
Just justifying their purchases. By the time someone makes it to my safe, god forbid. They’ve already been seen on camera, set off an alarm with battery backup, motion and my neighbor has been called.
If at that point they still remain there and try to get into the safe.. they aren’t a good crew and wouldn’t be able to pry or cut even a 12 gauge safe.

@@musicman1eanda ton of rich people in the gun community apparently, they do the same thing with some firearm brands, It can be a 100% clone of a gun thats super reliable, with zero issues and people will still say its for poor people LOL Plus ALOT of safes can simply be modded to prevent prying. Anything can be broken into no matter the cost, its just about the time.

Good grinder with a cutoff wheel, will have access in less than 5 min. All the safes beef up the doors. What about the sides, top and back?

The amount of force required to shear off those washers is substantially less than what it would take to break 1.5" bars...it's simple physics. I think there's a reason this has never been done before!

Nah, Many safes in this class can be pried open because the body bends out of the way of the bolt-work.
This design change removes that vulnerability these safes tend to have.

I need a custom Digital Lock that comes blank so I put my own codes both Master set and Normal set. Also does not send out data signals, I've found out that some Digital Locks send data to the Safe and Lock Companies that build them. Just another added sting to the Liberty Screw Job.

Good video! Whatever brand safe you buy make sure you bolt it down to the floor! I would put a very large sticker on it that says
    DANGER
BOBBY TRAPED In both English and Spanish!

All that with just a 12 ga body? Most thugs that are gonna attempt to get into one of these safes ignore the door. If they have access, they will try to cut through one of the sides. Rechargeable power tools make it doable. They might even use your own tools from the garage and/or your power outlets.

Nice pry resistant safe. Even at 12 gauge, good for them for keeping the cost down cause a cutting crew that knows what they’re doing will be able to cut in regardless.
And those crews aren’t usually going around hitting residences for the plebs like you and me.
Layer your security. If someone gets to your safe and you didn’t know they were there before they got to the safe, you failed

True but a safe buys you time and the better the safe the more time you got. Nothing is impossible to break into but if your safe can keep someone out long enough for the rest of your security to kick in then it's good enough.

12 gages body. You can cut that open with a circular saw in seconds lol. Since when are washers stronger than thick steel. Those washer will shear off easy.

Everyone I've heard from on this safe issue that the liberal safe company has the whole country up in arms over is about these digital locking systems. Look, all gun safes are vulnerable. Thats just a plain fact. Im sure someone will come up with a digital lock with no back door code and will charge way to much money for it, but can you really trust it?
I bought a liberty safe last year. I'll be damn if im buying another one. Luckily my local mom & pop locksmith was the local distributor for liberty safe and apon delivery of that safe i had them, at no extra charge replace that POS electronic lock with the ole tried and true dial type lock. There is absolutely no back door on the dial locks. Period. The lock is just one layer of security, i am the last line of defense for my gun safe. When my lifeless body is laying on the floor, who cares whats in my safe. Our problem is in Washington DC. We need to change the root of this issue. Bitching about locks isn't going to help the matter.

Just to clear up some miss information. The issue with liberty giving the code to the FBI. That safe actually had a dial lock on it but it was the one from the factory and Liberty had that combo on file.

@@northamericansafe9456 So what is the actual story? Because if they have a warrant, I think I'd rather them enter it via the lock rather than cutting a hole in the side, which they could absolutely do with a warrant.

Look at any high security jewlers safe. What will you find? External hinges. Even the Chubb Sovereign has external hinges and that safe has no recorded failures. If external hinges are good enough for Chubb they're good enough for anyone. Even you with your $125 Hi-Point.
