2002 Nissan Pathfinder crank no start

I had a 2002 Nissan Pathfinder that was brought into the shop that didn't start. Customer stated he let the car sit there for a couple week and when they went to go start it it would only crank and would not start.

I had a similar situation just yesterday. A customer came in with crank and no start with 2002 pathfinder. I check for codes first before digging around and found a p0160 I think something about lock mode. I just had to replaced the immu that sits next to the ignition key and performed a c/u initialization then the car started right up. Btw you are true technician with your set up.

Got same issue on my 02-driving along fine and it just died. Have eliminated feul circuit already and will try your diognostic/fix and see if I have the same issue. As other commentors have had same issue, I'm hoping this is MY problem too. Cheers!!

Got same issue on my 2001 qx4 but it start after 2 times of crank .... it is like that for 2 years and I gave up

I had a blown ECCS2 fuse and it wasn't starting (2003 Pathfinder). I replaced the fuse, and it does start now. However... It will not stay running unless I feed it gas; It will not idle on it's own. Any suggestions on where to start looking?

Check the spark plugs, coils because the same issue happened to me last month and I replaced the coils and now everything works great

@@nelsonjuniornoizy5320 it ended up being the ECM. I bought the correct resistor and soldered it in. The idle was still high afterwards but I borrowed the old Nissan scan tool from work and it forced it to reset the idle.

Have your car checked by a computer .. or if that’s expensive for you, try to check the resistance on your crankshaft sensor “ look out the video “ how to check crankshaft sensor “ on UA-cam.

@@reginaldpierre6490 then check the other plugs that are connected to the engine, if all of them are good! Check your air filter sensor. To be sure check the relay fuse on the electronic box. The white one. It should be written on it.

I'm still not getting what you did, bro. You" connected directly to the relay, thru a ten amp fuse, you reconnected the coils then cranked the engine and it ran. Battery voltage power already runs thru a ten amp fuse to a relay. The fuse is labeled eccs1. You "direct connecting" , doesn't mean squat, other than you plugged a lead into the bottom side of the fuse panel, to where that fuse would sit,

That leads to be rely. It's the same configuration, just connected outside of that fuse panel. Oh and, yea the vehicle starts... You put it in Drive, and it blows the fuse!

Hey anyone can tell me what I can do to fix my problem with my 2006 pathfinder it crank but won't start and all the lights stay on my dashboard even after removing the key close all doors and the only way the lights will turn off is unplugging the battery
