@Alan formula1 If Jimmie could just run clean races, I think he could make it to the round of 8. In his 26 races this year, something drastic ruined his finish in 9 of them (like a crash, penalty, or coronavirus). Some of his own mistakes combined with his really bad luck are the only reason he had to fight to get in the chase in the 1st place.

Ploke Newo78 except that the chevys have a big disadvantage cause they can’t bumpdraft as good as Toyota’s and Ford with the front bumper

Lone CoMmAnDo nah it’s only cause after put strategy Jimmie and the Hendricks caught the big pack after putting the where coming at like 206mph and the other pack was like 198mph and Jimmie went to the bottom to pass them cause of that run but Clint hand threw a bad block on Jimmie and Jimmie could have sent him into the catch fence if he where to crash em(Jimmie fan btw)

@@FrosteeWusky Yes, I mean, he seems to be so good at these oval road course types of tracks. He's gonna have to beat Chase Elliot though who has been so dominant at road courses (with Martin Truex being a close 2nd)
@@frederickschulze8014 true, but remember he did come close to beating MTJ last year at the Roval. It's gonna be hard to contend, but he's far from out of the fight so long as he's there in the end.

Man this superspeedway aero package is killer! 3 wide from lap 9 onward and almost no cautions til the very end. The guys seemed to have so much control over the cars, looks like they're sucked to the track with the way the rear track bars are sparking. So many saves, made for incredibly tense action all night long with everyone vying for those last few spots in the dance.
I've been a fan my whole life but the sport lost me for a while. I'm afraid to jinx it but right now it feels like Nascar is back. At least with the plate racing and the short tracks, the intermediates have been a snoozefest since they joined the circuit, not necessarily a function of the package.
Sucks they didn't get to race at Chicagoland this year, that track has actually been putting up great racing in the past couple of years.
@@ashenwolf98 yeah that's unfortunate, but we did get pheonix and the past few races there have been awesome, plus the fact we got richmond, darlington, martinsville, and bristol is enough to make me ecstatic for these playoffs.

One of the hosts on Race Hub indicated that the info was not exactly "correct"...or that they shouldn't of trusted it.
How does nascar manage to miss the most important part of radioactive....listening to the drivers on that last wreck.

Used to think radioactive was presented really well until I became an F1 fan, and their style of radio highlights is presented much better. I know NASCAR cant do exactly what F1 does, but I'd say try something else.

I really wanted Jimmie to make the playoffs in his final season, but I'm happy DiBenedetto got in, and William Byron got his first win, sending the #24 back to victory lane after a 5 year dry spell! Also Bubba was able to get a top 5.
