Thank you so much for making this video, much obliged! Been having a battle with myself with which route to go for proper cooling on my 1jz 🤙

Nice vid! Helpful tips for sure. I have a lot of cooling trouble on my 1JZ but it's also extremely hot rn. I'm considering a vented hood and some ducting for the rad. Thanks for uploading! Cheers from Tampa Bay

What did you do to help cooling your 1jz?

@@CAC-1111 Thanks! You know, in my mind I've designed an aluminum (spare gutter) ducting system from bumper to intercooler to rad. And a universal hood vent above the exhaust and another above the radiator to exit heat. NONE of this I've done cuz lazy!😆

I was thinking of just venting my hood and leaving 2jz waterpump, plus better flowing front bumper plus making some tubing for sections of the wasted flowing air

      Did you vent your hood?

for future reference, NEVER use a torque wrench to turn off a fastener. Now as for the pneumatic impact, of course those won't work. Air is weak (only rated between 85-150psi, good for about as much ft. lbs of breaking power). You need an ELECTRIC impact gun. even a crappy small one with a speed hammer has between 400-600ft lbs of breakaway torque. The big boy makita or millwaulkee will do 300-800-1200 ft lbs or something in 3 different settings which is the type i use for everything from lug nuts to wheel bearings to crank nut. Nothing will defeat it. only use for breaking, never for installing

go to your hardware store and buy 2 or 3 long studs in the various sizes of stuff like your water pump. take it home and cut the bolt heads off and grind the rough cut down to a taper, you now have guides you can use for easy and precise install of various parts that use gaskets.

What temps were you getting before the e-pump? And what are you getting now in what temperature outside.

Has this pump been doing ok, my only issue is it supposed to only last around 4 years?

That back 2jz water pump housing is the same as a 2jzge? Can I just get that back housing from a Usdm 2j at the junk yard? I might do this mod.

Kevin Camacho I’m not sure if the turbo is the same as the 2jzge water pump. I’d compare part numbers.

How has this been working out for you? Did it cool down the jz more? Was it worth it? I'm trying to find other info on this and can't find much.
Beautiful type x jz build buddy

Does that e water pump still retain the factory backing part of the water pump
