Anything that ditches the whine is music to my ears. I can't take that high pitch! Great vid Matt! And thanks for doing a truck with budget/free mod's for those of us with little to no budget. It's nice to see two of the same rigs side by side. One budget and one with the Gucci treatment. It's the only way to really see what makes a difference and what is just nice to do if you have the money. Encouraging to those who might shy away from going to a local comp, thinking they can't compete b/c they haven't got a grand to drop on the latest and greatest. Be a shame to loose folks just for that.
Great content! I have two of those Injora ESCs - one in a gladiator with a 370 motor and one on a TRX4M with a MOFO big block. Hands down the best budget brushed ESC
I just bought this ESC for my scx24. Its amazing. My only gripe about it is the Motor and Servo connectors being so tall. I had to redesign my 3d printed chassis to allow them to fit. Overall it crawls great!. Im also using a dumbo DDF350 transmitter.
Well done for budget build, great video thanks for sharing.my girlfriend wants to get the red redcat.so it's seems I'll get 2 of them and upgrade them the same
I love my Ascent 18! Love your ideas for budget upgrades and already have a GT5 transmitter because of your recommendation. Definitely going to try out your suggestions for the Injora escape, rearranging the electronics and battery. I don’t have the issue with it whining though, mine is pretty quiet compared to Axial scx24. I added Injora white deep dish beadlock wheels with LGRP Trench King tires. The look is awesome and does help with crawling better lines. Thank you again Matt!
Haven't gotten my yet ,but I already ordered that esc just so I can get rid of the transmitter. I have way too many. I like that dumbo transmitter you reviewed with their micro receiver. My trx4m are next lol
Thank you for the content you make. You mentioned drag brake in the beginning of the video. It’s my only real complaint with the stock ESC. Does drag braking improve with the Injora ESC?
???- Something that I've thought of and wanted to ask you. With the ESC's and motors both contributing to the slow speed abilities and control smoothness, has anyone looked into the potentiometers in the remotes? It occurred to me that no one ever mentions them or mod'ing them to get more control resolution. Cheap crap vs good quality can make a world of difference in guitars/basses, for example. Just food for thought if you ever are inclined to open a controller and do some mod'ing. 😁
@@RCfanAddict yeah it was fine. I just didn’t like the navigation on it. I also had the noble and it was just much easier to mess with for me. I play vrc some! Awesome game!
I just couldn't wait any longer, lol. Ordered! I was looking around at your merch but I didn't find the bracelet you are wearing... Do you have a source for those?
Me too. I had friends when I tell them to go with me "play" with our RC trucks he had to ask permission from his wife first 🤦♂️. For me I just tell my wife where I'm going.
Hey brotha I put my iguana pro in my ascent ...honestly I think the stock esc is way better i took it out and went back stock ..What settings are you using??.. I know this was about the injora esc
You should check out the Radiolink Rc4gs, its cheaper than the gt5, has better placement of a rws nob, the batteries last longer and you can easily power it with 18650.
I’ve been looking at these same Injora esc’s for a replacement on my hobby plus cr -18! It’s a very good Esc. I also think the esc in the Redcat is very smooth and quiet as well. Not sure what anyone has to complain about it unless they got a defective one. It’s a great “out of the box MC!” 😎👍🏻Great video !
I realy like the way it runs i moved alot around. Already put a mini battery and moved it to the front and took battery tray off lost over 24 grams off top🎉🎉🎉
Ordered my Redcat 18 today. Great video the injora esc works great used mine on a trx4m hightrail. What do you think about that cayman pro v2 4x4 1/18 premium in the background
Hey Matt! Just curious if you've ran your new orange cayman v2 much. I am curious if it has the right type rear axle to help out w/typical cr18p issues, bc i noticed the axle are all metal. Thanks for all you do with 18/24s
I ran it for about 2 seconds and the servo stripped lol. It has a different transmission so you can’t really flip the rear axle and then change the shaft. I haven’t really got to run it enough to know if it still has the terrible torque twist to be honest.
@@2fmrcthank you for letting me know. It looks like it's set up pretty nice. I have been wanting a cayman since they came out and this newest one with the upgraded axles and all looks killer. It's just so hard when we are starting into 10th scale money. Thanks again for answering!
I'm surprised people are saying this truck whines. Mine is so quiet and smooth I may not even go brushless!
Not even close to the V1 scx24s. Not sure either.
Yeah I don’t mind it personally. Way more quite than most that’s for sure lol
Mine is pretty damn quiet too
Mine is completely silent it's a quietest thing ever.
I just picked up the mb100 with injora pro purple (trx4m ver) and dumborc x6pm-350 with RX all for $50 overnight to my door at 4am. For this rig.
Anything that ditches the whine is music to my ears. I can't take that high pitch!

Great presentation and tips. I like that you stayed on the budget with the upgrades.

My first upgrade was the mb100,micro gt5, mofo direct power servo.
The direct power-servo is no joke

Nice! Really appreciate it. Picking them up from a local shop or ordering online?

Nice! I bet that does look sick!
I keep zooming in on the “cayman pro” in the background in the last couple vids👀
V2?

Im doing a holmes motor and a Dinky brushed esc in my 3 year olds and a cedar and dinky esc in mine
The only think I don’t like about the MB100 is the reverse speed, I think 50% is just to slow, 75% would be a better option.
Yeah it’s very noticeable in my Trx4m. It’s not as bad in this truck with the wheel speed it has. Especially on 3s. Much more usable
Flysky G7p with RS4P($20) antennaless receiver. Then you can bind it to all your furiteks with rs4pbs receivers
I hated the g7p lol. Just me though. That menu system was just horrible! I never really even used it and sold it.
@2fmrc I have no experience with it and straight away used it. Also connects to vrc pro with a USBc cable
@@RCfanAddict yeah it was fine. I just didn’t like the navigation on it. I also had the noble and it was just much easier to mess with for me. I play vrc some! Awesome game!
Dude 😂 the first 15 seconds !! If you are that guy you need to leave your wife NOW… 😂
I will watch the rest now 😊 do enjoy your videos dude ❤

could you do a video comparing the redcat to a deadbolt, the closest priced competitor. which would you chose if you had $50 upgrade budget
Will the transmitter bind to other Flysky receivers? If something like the R4P works that could be nice and cheap.
Good question
Those guys are so whipped! Wives giving them limits on the hobby 🤣
lol luckily I never had that problem but I know a couple 😆
Me too.

Hi 2fm love your channel
I appreciate that so much! Hope you have a great wknd!
I don't know if I got a bad batch or what but I got six of the gt5s and not one of them Works directly
Of the receivers? I’ve had a couple quit on me but haven’t had much issue with them
Looks good...
Is that an orange furitek cayman pro v2 in the back? when is that review?
When it runs I guess lol
Hey brotha I put my iguana pro in my ascent ...honestly I think the stock esc is way better i took it out and went back stock ..What settings are you using??.. I know this was about the injora esc
The only Furitek I’ve ran in it is the Python rxf with mini Komodo. So I haven’t ran it with the brushed setup in the Redcat.
does the 50 percent reverse on the esc bother you at all?
Not on this truck. It seems to have plenty. It’s a bit aggravating on my 4m I have it in.
Can you show how to put the option posts on to use another body? Please and thank you.
Will these accept the micro Komodo ?
Anything for the Trx4m will work. Used the same mod pinion etc

Yeah I just wish they’d update it a bit. Looks like an 80s transmitter lol. I normally just use my rc8x if I go radiolink.
Where you mounted your battery and esc i filled with bb's for a bb gun. Added a little weight for me.
Nice!

Looks like a good option for SCX24, but I’m really happy with stock esc on the Ascent 18
Great set up, I’ve heard nothing but good about them haven’t picked one up yet. Appreciate your sharing as always Matt

@@BrandenMataja no prob!
the pn90 motor for the trx improves slow crawl on stock esc a lot. combine the two
I put the pn 90t for a Trx4m in mine and didn’t really like it. Went back to stock.
stock or brushless it would seem then
