    My husband is a federal employee (he works in the FAA) he works on the computers that help keep flights safe. When you say federal employees just remember there are federal employees who have nothing to do with our government running. I love you Matt and Abby have been a long time follower.

      We need federal employees a lot of them do a lot of thankless work. It can be so much easier to see the bad stuff then choose to see the good.

    That's how it was with my cancer diagnosis last year. I kept it all to myself at first, then told my family but no one would have known I was going through treatments. No one did. Once I started sharing more ppl could relate and it becomes less of a monster sharing it. Once I was open I felt like I could be more myself again since I don't need to hide it.

    It was brief, but from a female perspective, it was actually really refreshing to hear 2 married men speaking frankly about their role in birth control, methods tried (and failed), how they feel about it etc. Men often don't share their perspective about a lot of topics with women. I think it would be wonderful if Matt sat down with a group of male friends, married, dateing, single and did an entire episode about the male perspective. Women really do care, but find it difficult to get men to share with us.

    My husband and I did the “pull out method” the whole 19 years were together -- we have a 18 yr old son tho 😂 lol but out of 19 years, we only have had 4 children! After our youngest son Romie Jack passed away from SIDS last October I had to get something. There was just no way I could go thru that again so I got the mirena. If has def made me more hormonal tho … me AND my husband have noticed that lol! If we hadn’t lost our son I wouldn’t have gotten it for the reason that I just don’t wanna be on birth control as far as like hormones and blood clots etc. My mom, aunt and cousin all got blood clots from two different methods. My mom was bad she actually almost died from it so birth control always just kinda scared me. Like-- I’m good lol. But I def wouldn’t have this mirena if I didn’t have to. Point is--19 years worth of sex (prob average amount) and only 4 pregnancies is pretty good! (imo)✌🏽

    Loving constructive criticism for Matt:
    When asking a question you often say the question perfectly then immediately start reiterating the exact same thing you just said.
    Try to just ask the initial question and follow up if clarification or a second question is needed.
    It’s repetitive but the other thing I noticed is that you get long winded and more descriptive and sometimes repeat the same thing 3 times, and you lose your quest along the way and end up having to just say the original version of the question again.
    I noticed it when you ask the “from the outsside looking in everything looked perfect” question. It happened 1-2 episodes ago and I remember because Abby was like “uh you lost me?” 😂
    You are naturally good at interviewing and asking good questions. I thought this might help you pack more good questions into the pod, and just help the flow of conversation and limit awkward moments.
    It’s not a big deal but I thought you’d appreciate it. Hope it comes across clearly. Great job episode. I’m from San Antonio and I’m glad I tuned in. Sometimes I dont know what to expect because I don’t know a lot of yalls guests, but I’ve never been disappointed! The interviews are always interesting regardless of how familiar I am or how relevant it is to my life. I just think that says a lot about yalls pod. I wouldn’t think yall were beginners if I hadn’t been following yall for a while.

    MLMs are only profitable for the people on top. Dani is shady imo, for using her online popularity to trick people into upping her MLM income. She doesn't need to do this to her followers and friends.

    • @jennachristine2751
      @jennachristine2751 9 місяців тому

      Can you explain why it’s an MLM? I don’t know much about the company, but I did some research and don’t really see how it is one (I used/sold monat for a while (not really seriously) so I have some knowledge on the general mlm concept)
      It looks like there’s club divi (basic rewards/loyalty program) and divi specialists (a distribution system for shops to sell their products, which is common for hair products in salons and it looks like it’s specifically for hair stylists)
      There’s also affiliate marketing, but that’s also normal for the majority of businesses.
      So what actually makes it an MLM because it doesn’t seem like there’s a pyramid scheme happening here?

    • @Stargazer95485
      @Stargazer95485 9 місяців тому +1

      @jennachristine2751 Maybe I'm wrong. It becomes an MLM if Dani has affiliates under her, selling and giving her a kickback percentage and recruiting new affiliates is encouraged and rewarded.

    • @jennachristine2751
      @jennachristine2751 9 місяців тому

      @@Stargazer95485 It would be an MLM if the affiliates received a commission by recruiting affiliates to be under them. MLMs require multiple levels of sellers. The kickbacks go up the pyramid in that way (hence why it’s called a pyramid scheme). Example - one person convinces 5 people to join their team, the head person gets kick backs/percentages from each subordinate salesperson. These subordinates then are encouraged to to go find their own teams to lead, then each level gets a percentage of those commissions, and the cycle continues.
      Affiliate marketing is when the person promoting gets a percentage of the commissions made - Dani doesn’t not take a percentage of that commission (based on how affiliate marketing. Orally works). Dani receives money from the sales that result from affiliate marketing, and her company pays the commission percent to the influencer who promotes the product from each sale their post/code generated.
      So it’s really not an MLM.

    I have an uncle who was adopted by his step dad, whom he hated. When he got married he took his wife’s name because he didn’t want that to be their family name!

    Hi Matt and Abby! I love your channel and podcast! You are also some of the most kind, loving people out there! I loved this episode and recently watched an episode where you mentioned the enneagram! I just took a class at my university about the enneagram and would love to answer any questions you may have about it - such as how we develop our number, how numbers interact with each other, Disney enneagrams, love languages and the enneagram, etc. Let me know if this interests you!
