    It would be great to have a marriage counselor on the podcast, that can talk about pre-marriage counseling too.

    Yess to Abby for saying you have to trust women when they tell you their experience! (with periods or anything else) I have endometriosis and so do millions of other people, and it really is "that bad." Honestly just love all of Abby's answers in this episode overall. She is so wise but also careful to be very inclusive of others who have different circumstances and perspectives.

      I have endo, and I have a double uterus so my doctor said that’s why I feel cramping so intense, but honestly after having my son I don’t cramp anymore, I’m just in full blown unbearable pain like walking from point A to point B is almost impossible. Feels like my organs are falling out and like I’ve been beat up inside with a baseball bat. God forbid I need to go #2! I’ll literally scream and cry. It’s awful!!! Nobody understands how bad endo is unless they have it too!

    5:13 love this question about periods. As a guy who has sisters, and raised by strong men and women in the family, I definitely always thought that they were horrible. Definitely blessed to be a boy and not a girl. Girls, y'all deserve respect for enduring that much pain and discomfort 😢

    I love having conversations with strangers. One time I was in the shampoo aisle and had a conversation with a woman. She told me how her and her husband travel around to play Santa and Mrs. Clause. I thought that was the coolest and so sweet! What a fun life. It’s also easy to bring up conversations with people if you are both buying travel size stuff. Where are you both going? It’s so fun to talk about. I wish more people would be willing to do that.

    I'm an old lady, in a very happy marriage with grandkids, etc. RULE NUMBER ONE: Always Prioritize Your Marriage! I was raised with my parents making sure we knew THEIR marriage came first, and I raised our kids that way. In the end, the children learn SO much about how to behave as an adult, how treat your spouse with respect, and how NOT to let your children 'play' you. Children need parents, not friends, as you know.

    Just started following and enjoyed this. I loved what Abby said about looking down on others. I’m a mother to both a firefighter and a sheriff deputy. One thing I taught both of them when young was that we are ALWAYS in the MIDDLE. There will ALWAYS be someone that is richer, poorer, smarter, not as smart, better looking not as attractive, more opportunities or not as many. Yes u can be proud of what u have or achieved but don’t look down on others. Always be grateful.

    I'm Australian, and I used to be a Laser and Dermal Therapist. I can confirm I have so many horror stories 😂 I can also confirm we get paid peanuts for seeing and smelling someone's lower region everyday 😂 can also confirm, I no longer work in the industry 😂 and we definitely do not earn six figures. The people conducting these treatments are Beauty Therapists and are unfortunately on a very low income. Not a good industry.

    • @amberj3941
      @amberj3941 Рік тому +9

      I work in this industry in the US, but I’m a medical provider too so I get paid well. Performing laser here is a small portion of what I do, we charge a lot for this area since it’s not the best area to be close to for the provider. I don’t find it super awkward though I’ve done this for years and I make almost 100,000 a year but only work 3 days a week. Again a small part of my day job. Most days I’m not lasering private parts.

    • @biancaapilado8165
      @biancaapilado8165 Рік тому +4

      @amberj3941 I find this really interesting. In Australia, laser hair removal is considered a beauty treatment, so medical providers do not perform it. Beauty therapists do. Glad you are getting paid well!

    I couldn't agree more with yall on the dating and ghosting culture topic. I was talking to this guy and we went on a date together a few weeks back. After the date, I realized I didn't see a future with him and i just didnt feel a connection with him. I was honest and upfront with him afterwards. It was hard because I'm such a people pleaser and he was very sweet so I didnt want to hurt him, but I knew it was the right thing to do. Theres a polite way of doing it (like Abby & Matt mentioned where you can throw in a compliment) instead of ghosting them which is more disrespectful in my opinion.

      I recently went to a restaurant with my husband for a date, and we were looking around having the same issue. We were trying to enjoy our time but everyone around us had a device. One little baby was watching a tablet with the adults not paying attention, another family had their kids watching a show on a phone. I get adults want to talk and keep their kids occupied, but that's where I learned how to sit still, how to have conversations over food, how to take in my surroundings. Times are just so different. :(

    Actually to respond to your ending conversation, i have had chronic low self esteem all my life ( im older) and that makes me feel attracted to someone with an inflated ego. I feel empowered by their confidence, if friendliness and supportiveness is also part of their personality. But if someone has a big ego and acts exclusive and is overly impressed with themselves then thats a total turn off.♥️
    You two have a really fun podcast! My husband and i had three children about two years between each. I was a stay at home mom and took care of them mostly by myself because husband had long hours ( hospital administrator) and grandparents not close by. We lived in and loved SanDiego. I was an RN before that, and we had a great life, but i can relate and laugh with both of you and looking back, i guess i can feel a sense of pride that i did it with THREE! 💪Lookin forward to more fun videos! I would love for Abby to put together a cookbook! It’s fun to see what you guys eat because it’s so balanced.

    I love you guys. This podcast is great just wanted to say there is a study comparing period pain to heart attack pain, and the pain is pretty comparable. My periods are pretty terrible without a IUD. ❤

    The ADHD rant from Matt about how beautiful, how empathetic and good with his family and how kind Abby is though 🥹
    People critize Matt a lot in their videos because sometimes he says stuff that are not "appropriated" or interrups Abby. Its just clearly his ADHD and he doesnt do it in a mean way to hurt Abby. And I think Abby doesnt get hurt by it also because she knows that is just the way he is and its not on purpose (at least that i have noticed).
    And in this video he just rambles about how much he loves Abby in three different moments of the video. So i want to acknowledge that good side of him in this comment.
    Sorry if i am ranting too right now and off topic. I guess because i was recently diagnosed with ADHD i am just more sensitive to the previous comments about him.
    I really like this couple. You can really see they are just genuine and love each other ❤️
    Thank you for sharing your imperfect and unplanned life and love with us

      I never trust anytime Matt is publicly praising Abby. He's a narcissist who is either trying to win himself favor with Abby or make himself look good to fans. Most likely, it's both.

    As far as telling someone kindly is also constructive feedback/criticism. I rather call it feedback than be a critic because it feels negative to me, especially when it comes the different kinds of relationships.

    A lot of women have Endometriosis, so periods are worse than "normal". Perhaps you could have a ob/gyn on sometime......
