Hey Chad. Greetings from Australia. Please remember to put some rubber isolators between the tank and the straps. This is a good budget build and love your “work with what I have got” attitude.

I think I would have used some thin rubber between the tank straps and the tank. Like maybe bicycle inner tube to make it snug and reduce vibration.

I think he could learn a lot from you. Even though he's a famous television star. his 1940 business coupe is getting an entirely different frame suspension and engine donated by sponsors. Would probably be an easy job for anybody if all that stuff or just give them to you

Yes sir....Troubleshooting is a fine skill.
Tell folks often that I get paid for knowing what to and moreover what not to do.
It's like detective work to find the clue or clues and put together the story of how the heck this got the way it is!
By natural causes? By someone doing and doing and making things worse?
Then ya gotta fix the mess that got left and then fix the original problem
I'm not an auto mechanic but repair and restore mechanical devises.
Seems it's a similar story for all mechanics. Think things over and don't just start doing and doing.
Anyway. That ends my.long winded lecture.

You heat it by burning diesel or petroleum and all the exhaust fumes stay in your shop, also using the plasma cutter aint that good to aspirate the fumes as well.

I'd plate over the top of that tank. Seal it up from the inside. Drill holes in body under tank. Removable top plate. Insulated to cut down on the splash noise..I don't like the idea of a open tank behind mein a enclosed space. I don't like can tanks either...
