did the sahabah recite with maqamaat that you teach?

Shukran for your question. With textual interaction, one is unable to ascertain whether a question is honest in its inquiry or if it is aggressive in nature. And, i would not like this platform to be used for any unnecessary back and forth between viewers, especially on topics that have already been engaged with by others, some who are recognised scholars.
I suffice with a question and a note for thought.
Did the Sahabah teach Tajwid and other Quranic sciences, including having institutionalised memorisation, as we do today? No, they did not.
The reality is that there are many things that we do today, in the way that we do it, which were not done by the Sahabah but which our predecessors identified a need for and as such, new sciences in our religion were formalised based on what was informally received from the first generations. I request of you to reflect on this with honesty.
Now, consider the prophetic narration as documented by al-Imām ibn Mājah and others: ‘Beautify the Qur’ān with your voices for indeed, the beautiful voice increases the Qur’ān in beauty.’
Add to that the response of the companion Abū Mūsā al-Ash’arī, may Allah be pleased with him, when the Prophet, peace be upon him, complemented his recitation and informed him that he listened to him without him knowing. Abū Mūsā said: ‘Had i known that you were listening, i would have adorned it (beautified it) even more.’
The above two narrations dictate that one either imitates a Quranic reciter whose manner of recitation one is impressed with or one beautifies one’s voice with some knowledge of how to do so oneself. It is clear that Abū Mūsā had some knowledge of how to intentionally do so and as such, scholars have searched for this knowledge in the Arab world and they have researched it, culminating in what we have today of Maqāmāt, an independent and formalised science that guides the reciter to adorn his/ her recitation with some basic knowledge of how to do so.
Our ears are exposed to melody all the time and it will only guide to what it was fed. If this science did not exist then there would most definitely be presenters of Quranic recitation who do so with modern or culturally influenced melodies. It would not be Arab in the least.
I acknowledge that one should not get carried away with melody and i therefore personally only know how to identify it and, based on some personal experience, to present it with a basic number of options in an attempt to beautify it with some variation. With this, i suffice and encourage others to do the same.
The Glorious Qur’ān was sent for it’s message. The framework of its recitation is the rules of Tajwid and the medium of conveyance is one’s voice, which is produced based on one’s natural ability and which is refined with some simple melodic tools enabling one to do so adequately. One is not forced to learn these tools/ sounds/options but those who wish to improve their renditions at least have some form of instruction and have something to work from.
There is much more to discuss on this issue but again, this is not the platform for it and as such, i suffice with the above.
      Shukran. Requesting prayers.
      And, Allah knows best.
