I just realized what the butterfly in the beginning signifies... The Butterfly Effect. Theory that if a butterfly flaps it's wings in California, there will be a Tsunami in Japan

That storm represent Rachel Amber’s perspective from when she was drugged The occasional lightning were the photography flashes The rain was her crying The storm was her mind thinking about what’s going to happen I might have missed some other details but that’s as much as I know The butterfly however had signified Amber’s beauty and the blue color for her signature look.

But either way I would have chosen sacrifice arcadia bay cause as max I was saving chloe the entire time so why not just go all the way with it. Well but thats just what I think and I am aware most people would definetely disagree with me and I dont blame them cause they are probably right. In conclusion arcadia bay did not deserve that.

2:06:44 originally it was going to be a rain blood instead of snowflakes. the beta / prototype version of Chloe's text says: "it's... it's BLOOD!?" in the beta version and the final version they used the same animation and both of them used the same snowflakes effects. but the fact that Chloe's quote says it's blood, well, i can believe them until somebody had other truth. in the beta version, the reason that is using snowflakes instead of blood is because those looks like they are in development, some NPCs and some stuff are incompleted. (that's what i believe)

Unfortunately she's not alive, if you play the prequel Life is Strange: Before the Storm you can tell she was kidnapped by Jefferson by the end of the game. Yes she kinda had powers and the storm maybe was there by her but there's also the theory it's Chloe's storm as a consequence for Max messing with timelines with her rewind power.
