    Your garden is amazing! I can’t get over all of the different things you grow. The watermelon look awesome! I haven’t been able to do as much with my garden this year. I am about to have surgery and I’ve been so busy getting things ready since I will have a six week recovery. Summer will almost be over at that point. It was good to see your son in the video. He is so poised and smart! Have a great week Dan!

      I counted a total of 28 on the tree ..These are the trees grown from seed .. very productive

    Great idea to grow coffee !! We want to grow plums. The ginger is huge ! We need the mysore raspberry. Nice rack of bananas. The plum tree is loaded. We will be growing comfy. Nice harvest !! Thanks for sharing. Have a good week

    It has to be heaven to grow tropical crops like pineapple, bananas, and papaya. I absolutely loved this update. I hope I am correct to say watermelon is ripe when the tendril close to it's stem dies and the bottom of the melon takes on a yellowish hue.

    I enjoy starting cuttings also. You have plants that I haven't even heard of. I wish I could grow some of the more exotic fruits out here. Beautiful garden tour. Thank you!

      I start cuttings for most of my trees so I have backups, You can grow a lot of these exotic fruits. they are heat tolerant and cold hardy 35F

      I'm using trees that I would normally prune back yearly .. will be easier to reach the dragon fruit
      Containers give so many options ... moving them from shade to sun .. and sun to shade

    Dan I noticed that rain water do grow your plants more bigger. My garden is growing magnificent this year because I purchased new compost from a farmer. My candy cane did not grow because something was kept taking it out of the container and I didn’t know what it was. So I threw it away. MaybeI l will try next year.

      Yes ... Get your compost in bulk, the big box store compost has nothing living in it .. dead soil.

    Everything looks wonderful...my roselle is about the size as yours in part shade ..but my full sun ones seem to be slower. Plum harvest has arrived huh..it can be hard tto keep it short I know..blessings for a great week

    Love the food forest. Those bananas are looking great.. Very interesting tropical plants. I'll have to google a lot of the plants to see if can grow in my zone.. Do you harvest the moringa pods for food or just seed?

    Curious how long you keep things in containers, how you feed the container stuff etc. Most of the videos I’ve watched, I assumed must all your stuff was in the ground, seems like I was mistaken would love to know a bit about your thinking of containers vs ground and when you decide to plant them.

      Hey Kellen, I do both .. some plants seem to do better in containers, So I experiment with both methods of growing ..
      As for feeding I use compost teas and compost

      @@Danfoodforest awesome. I just got some of my first trees (fig and pomegranate). Was looking forward to putting them in ground in a couple months after a move… didn’t realize how much or the yard at the new place is actually just huge slab of rock. Looks like getting really good with larger containers is how I’ll be going for a couple years. I got some comfrey growing that I need to propagate out and multiply and I’ve got some tithonia diversifolia on the way to me right now (hopefully it survives the trip) my hope is that the tithonia can provide shade for the comfrey (don’t think it can take the full Az sun). Thanks for doing what you do. Inspiring and enjoyable.
