Curious how long you keep things in containers, how you feed the container stuff etc. Most of the videos I’ve watched, I assumed must all your stuff was in the ground, seems like I was mistaken would love to know a bit about your thinking of containers vs ground and when you decide to plant them.
Hey Kellen, I do both .. some plants seem to do better in containers, So I experiment with both methods of growing .. As for feeding I use compost teas and compost Thank you so much for watching
@@Danfoodforest awesome. I just got some of my first trees (fig and pomegranate). Was looking forward to putting them in ground in a couple months after a move… didn’t realize how much or the yard at the new place is actually just huge slab of rock. Looks like getting really good with larger containers is how I’ll be going for a couple years. I got some comfrey growing that I need to propagate out and multiply and I’ve got some tithonia diversifolia on the way to me right now (hopefully it survives the trip) my hope is that the tithonia can provide shade for the comfrey (don’t think it can take the full Az sun). @@Danfoodforest Thanks Dan what about your other fruit trees? Any cold hardly?
What part of South Florida are you located? I enjoy watching the tours of your food forest. I am trying to do this in Savannah...
I’m actually in Central Florida
Thank you so much for watching
@@Danfoodforest .. I started a small tropical fruit area in my garden in Savannah .. I hope they survive throughout the upcoming winter.
My one hog plum seed i planted never sprouted. Can I buy seeds from you?

Curious how long you keep things in containers, how you feed the container stuff etc. Most of the videos I’ve watched, I assumed must all your stuff was in the ground, seems like I was mistaken would love to know a bit about your thinking of containers vs ground and when you decide to plant them.
Hey Kellen, I do both .. some plants seem to do better in containers, So I experiment with both methods of growing ..
As for feeding I use compost teas and compost
Thank you so much for watching
Thanks for doing what you do. Inspiring and enjoyable.
