The only thing that I think might help Devin out more is staying strong in exchanges. If you lose balance the judge or ref may think you hurt or lost the round. But this was beautiful sparring.

He sparred with a slower fighter who was laughing and smiling at Devin's work. Devin even got caught a few times by the looping right. Teofimo would simply eat this kid alive.
Its crazy what a 20lb difference looks like but I guess I see it 🤷♂️ lol. And this is supposed to be a "star" he's sparring against? Well I got the same evaluation of Haney I've always had....he's long/lanky, fast, great foot/head work, sharp/accurate and has above average stamina. The negatives i see.....lacks strength/raw power, swings wild on occasion leaving himself vulnerable and has a tendency of being too cautious instead of being cutthroat. Overall he's got the potential to be great but much more room to progress.

He sparred with a slower fighter who was laughing and smiling at Devin's work. Devin even got caught a few times by the looping right. Teofimo would simply eat this kid alive.
Its crazy what a 20lb difference looks like but I guess I see it 🤷♂️ lol. And this is supposed to be a "star" he's sparring against? Well I got the same evaluation of Haney I've always had....he's long/lanky, fast, great foot/head work, sharp/accurate and has above average stamina. The negatives i see.....lacks strength/raw power, swings wild on occasion leaving himself vulnerable and has a tendency of being too cautious instead of being cutthroat. Overall he's got the potential to be great but much more room to progress.
