@@onode797honestly, if this was an actual scored fight, tank would still win of defensive points, Haney only connected 4-5 shot in each round. Tank was in full control of that fight and only walked down on Haney 2-3 times the whole fight. Ryan had a point when he said Haney has pillow hands, it just wasn't effective.

I fought Tank in amateurs back in 2012. Back then he was called "Lil Tank"
His name wasn't called Tank because he will, as you said, "eat all of those shots." He was given that nickname as a teenager because he would steam roll over dudes bigger than him. He had way more head movement back then because he didn't hit as hard.

Like the way you break down fights and explain the void, if I remember correctly I'm sure haney was 17 and tank in his early 20's at the time of sparring, haney got rocked but tank gassed out because he wernt fight fit at the time that's why they say haney won due to dog house rules.
I think the training session was for haneys offense and for tank to learn to take punishment and overcome. Adversity training. Clearly tank was the more dominant fighter whenever he wanted or when allowed. I feel they were focused on two different aspects of boxing for each fighter. Not necessarily a real sparring session.

I can't get over the fact that Devin Haney CANNOT inflict damage at all.. It's like he invested 0 points into his power stats
He did damage to Regis (a very rough fighter) had loma face messed up (not saying who won) mess kambosos up..he has power. Maybe not enough to fight a mentally challenged dude that comes in purposely overweight n on PEDs but all of his other opponents respect his power
and the fact that haney comes in fight night a middleweight but still couldn't knock most of his opponents out, also says he wants an even playing field in an ESPN interview SMDH, there's a documentary where he tells his opponents during face-off "you're too small!" multiple times, dude purposely comes in over the agreed upon weight limit to gain an unfair advantage, regis even had that in the contract but haney went over 155 during fight night

The background for this match was tank was in the state (out of shape) and got asked to fight one of Floyd’s talented kids. Devin was only 17 at the time of this. So that’s why AB jumped in to look out for devin as he was underage. So basically out of shape tank, hence him being more conservative with his energy, vs 17 year old haney. Hopefully this helped
