In your opinion, which clip was the best counter attack ?
the one from georgia is the most spectacular
0:31 England #5 should've been penalised
i think it's the #4 Georgia against Canada because the kick is just brilliant
Number 4 is just amazing but 2 too. The only thing that make the 1 great is the final pass but it's still beautifull
The one you had in position one is my favourite has been for a long time
The try from the end of the world - another legendary counter attack try
The Philippe saint andre try from 1991 against England
List is leaving a lot of the ‘legendary’ out

How could you forget Philippe Saint André's 110m try vs England in Twickenham in 1991?
If that's not the best counter attack in history, I don't know what is ...
Also, try from the end of the world, I mean come on !
Even though Ntamack's counterattack didn't result in a try, how was that not #1? So so SO many things to applaud and celebrate with that one!
It caused a yellow card.
It was a thing of absolute beauty (and hands down the moment of 2021), but people seem to be missing a key nuance: World Rugby recently updated the rules so that a team grounding the ball in their own try-zone results in a 22m drop-out, rather than a scrum to the opposing team, as was previously the case. As such, there was significantly less jeopardy, which likely influenced Ntamack's decision-making. Still, most fly-halves would have played it safe and put it to boot
@@Thewouf unless I am mistaken, in this case he takes the ball out of his try zone. If the ball had been grounded, it would have been scrum for the ABs.
(We had the scrum when McKenzie did that in his own try zone after Penaud's kick at the end of the game).
@@gregoirebenzaken2827 Yeah, I think you're right - I'd previously missed it, but he gathers the ball *just* outside of his in-goal area then carries it in, which I assume means any grounding would have resulted in an AB scrum. Autant pour moi ! Tout ca pour dire qu'il est tout simplement balaise, le mec
Gareth Edwards try 1973, France England try 1991, France All Blacks try 1994
Came to say the same thing. Mindblowing that these could be left out!
Couldn't agree more. The Gareth Edwards try may even be the most famous try ever scored.
Agree - the Edwards try is the best counter attack try I ever saw. And simply the best try!
Bugger, you beat me to it!! 🤣
How that '73 Baba's try could be left out I have no idea?!?!
Maybe the person who compiled this wasn't even alive in the 20th Century!
Bloody millennials! Think they know everything! 🤣
I like the Lions v All Blacks one just because it always makes me laugh seeing Kieran Read getting absolutely done like a dinner at the start of it. And his own reaction.
Hahahah 😂
It's also the value of the opponent side that creates the thrill of a ounter attack, so I'd choose Lions vs NZ
@@sylvainrivet8987 Yeah, I love sides that score when 90% of their side are offside, it's great. I also love how NH refs are blind as dumb fucks. :D Losers. Rugby is dead now. NH refs are killing the game and NH IRB are making the game soft for their soft nations.
Serge Blanco had a great counter-attack from behind the polls finished with a try, don;t remember the game but i was a kid and still remember that try58
I remember it, it was France vs Australia, 1990, a wonderful try, it's on youtube I think
Difficult to say : Blanco didn't do it only once ;)
1987 World cup semi final
In March 1991, England-France, V nations-a try of St-André-an incredible job by Camberabero-The try of the century
Eliot Daly’s try in the last five minutes against Wales in 2017, to win the game, surely should have featured. It wasn’t the length of the pitch, but it was manufactured brilliantly.
meh it was basically just cuthbert being a rubbish defender
1973 All Blacks vs Barbarians try by Gareth Edwards, is officially the best counter attack ever.
yeah ... for sure. that has videos all to itself. ... it will never be bettered
Saved me typing
9:46 Bro Cheslin Kolbe was such an underappreciated player when he played for the stormers
It was gio applon isn't it ?
I'm guilty of this too, I'm woke to him now
This vid could easily be a “best of French rugby” highlight reel. They love their counter attacks
"The try from the end of the world", to rule them all ...
Toulouse against Clermont un top14,lineout from Ramos on his own 5 ans try at 13 vs15
Caucau's try against France and Scotland was on🔥🔥🔥
I’ve never played or watched a single rugby game in my life but I still watched the video till the end
Gareth Edwards try for the Barbarians against New Zealand in 1973 is a must have in this list imo
The 2nd is the best team counter attack for me. Your n-1 is more about an amazing assist in my opinion. Thanks for the video.
No Barbarians vs All Blacks 1973? Worth it for Cliff Morgan's commentary alone.
#3 Beautiful try.....what an effort!👏👍😁
Number 2 is amazing because so many players touched the ball
Teamwork 🤙
Rugby looks very fast pace and exciting. These clips were fantastic. It's as if Foot ball (Soccer for Americans) had a kid with NFL football to produce rugby. It should really be a sport to play in high school & college over here in the U.S.
The fact that the counter attack from Toulouse vs Clermont-Ferrand is not included is just outrageous.
The Chiefs vs Stormers one was amazing but you missed the France try vs Australia. I am pretty sure that was counter. Btw I love your content! From Australia
Hey Man, thanks for the comment ! Do you remember which year it was or who scored the try ?
You mean French 100 meters try against Australia lats summer?
@@RugbyEverest ua-cam.com/video/rBF49Z7de6Y/v-deo.html
At 4:47
It was out of scrum so not really a counter
I was at that Stormers vs Chiefs game. Maybe the best club rugby game I've ever seen live. Both teams played like this for the full 80 minutes.
They were all brilliant counters!!
#2 no question - the sheer number of different skills - offloading, running, support, abd out together SO seamlessly
Courtney lawes taking out two backs with that delayed pass absolute genius 🙌🏾
All black France 1994, England-France 1991 Perpignan-Agen 2015( ProD2 but 110 metres run) montpellier clermont 2018 ect ect. I suppose you're in southern hemisphere cause you select a lot of Super-Rugby game but in europe we have some greats counter-attacks.
One of my favourite counter attacks that has been ignored is James Bailey's try for Gloucester vs Wasps. James Simpson-Daniel running rings round Dallaglio after great defence from a turnover
Great Video. Just thought Beauden barrett in the 2015 world cup final could have a mention. Love it though
It would definitely be up there ! I had some problems with copyrights on this one so I could not post it … Thanks for the comment tho, really appreciate !
A french kiss is beautiful but not as beautiful as the French team fluency ..just incredible ( coming from an South African )
Another good shout is Pierre Spies against the Crusaders in like 2009 for the bulls
For me you forgot one of the best, France England 1991
you are the best, do more videos
That stormers vs chiefs game 👌
Geez the reds were good to watch and are definitely getting back to their best
That leids try is so underated
that pass is everything
Surprised the 2007 USA try against South Africa didn’t make the top 15. That was probably the greatest counter attack try I’ve seen.
Rieko Ioane vs France... top 15 legendary counter-attacks of ALL time? Ever heard the term recency bias?
i was thinking the same
de superbe actions
Plenty of reds games here but still missing Quade Cooper's counter attack vs the blues in the 2011 super rugby semi final to set up Ben Tapuai's try.
4 words. “This is Gareth Edwards!”
PSDT was flying joh
You have done a nice job, with all these games from all over the world, I prefer your numbre 3 with the Lyons, because in my opinion, all the players do the precise perfect choice
Where is the Gareth Edwards try vs the All Blacks? Doesn't get much better.
The last one !!!!!
Toulouse vs Clermont 2020 or france all blacks but very Nice video 🙌👍👍
No contest - where was the Barbarians try from the 70s(?) - Gareth Edwards and co.
Can't believe McKenzie doesn't make it in the Nz first 15. What a player.
Not sure of the year, I think 2007. Odwa Ndungane's 82nd minute try for the Sharks vs the Crusaders was something special.
Kolbe with Stade Toulousain VS Section Paloise is for me Ines of the best try ever !
Aphiwe Dyanti's try was against Jagaures from Argentina, not Cheetahs, but nice video still 🙏
Ashton smiling in celebration at his own 22!
You forgot France - All Black 1994
Barassi..Australie France 2021
I'm jamaican. I don't know shit about rugby but that was f**king epic!!!
Exceptionnel. Voici le lien de la vidéo : ua-cam.com/video/galt1HTGUMQ/v-deo.html
The Chief everyday
the 11. 😱
Daugunu does that time and time again.
Mental to think 1 and 2 are from the same match!
Only one in my opinion - scored on 27th January 1973. Those who know, know.
How can a collection of the "Top 15 Legendary Counter-Attacks" not include "The Try".... Gareth Edwards for the Barbarians v New Zealand January 27, 1973?
Japan v Wales 2007 World Cup
It's not legendary counter but best South counter for 90%,they miss lot a really legendary counter😤
Chiefs vs crusaders really nice rugby
Magali Harvey for Canada vs. France in the semi-final of the 2014 Women’s World Cup: ua-cam.com/video/B7em0YJYBk8/v-deo.html
Surely Fiji could've been in there, one of the best in the business
There's a try that they scored recently against Wales and it was good
Serevi has to be the best ever, in terms of speed & trickery!!
This is only of the last 10 years or so. I'm sure there are alot better ones to choose from from earlier decades.
2:23 jaguars vs aphiwe dyanti / no cheetahs
Number 2 is the best
How is France counter attack VS all blacks in 1994 not there
Will be in the second video !
Chiefs, Stormers, Georgia, Lions, then you forgot Christian Cullen against the Tahs or Edwards against NZ.
How can you call this legendary and not have either Ngwenwa try (07 World Cup or for Biarritz in the Heineken Cup in ‘10)
If it’s legendary then how can you not have 1973 Barbarian try against New Zealand
A more legendary try their isn’t !!!!
yeah the All Blacks really should thank the referee for ioanes try with his one sided interpretation of when the ball is out of a ruck. They would've been humiliated even more by France without that support.
SARDOURNY NEW ZEALAND - FRANCE (RUGBY TEST MATCH 03/07/1994
Never saw it but johnny may released it forward at 3:00 no?
Where was THE Baa Baas try vs NZ! Also Rugby takes place North if the Equator too.
11. dyanti VS JAGUARES
What about Fofana's try in England-France, avoiding 6 defenders (Feb 2013)
Barbarians versus All Blacks with a try by Gareth Edwards.
Gio Aplon for Grenoble...
So if i get it right, Ntamack plays only by himself?
A top list for counterattacks without a single Christian Cullen try?
Les relances de Blanco, ici:
ua-cam.com/video/513rrVWbdj8/v-deo.html
Ou ici:
ua-cam.com/video/vVh85KUGLy8/v-deo.html
This one is also faboulous... Toulouse vs Pau:
ua-cam.com/video/QKx4GtKlFrY/v-deo.html
Will Genia's try against crusaders
I tkink 2012 grand final
True ! That one was a masterclass ! I think that they were attacking and not counter-attacking no ?
How hasn't Gareth Edwards' try for the Barbarians against New Zealand made the list???
Amongst that lot, #2 Chiefs. Why? The number of passes and the support running after ONE error!
Apiwe diyanti played against the pumas bot cheetas
True true, I went to quickly on that one ! Thanks for noticing it !
Where is #3? Based on this you should have the Lions try against the All Blacks from 2017.
But also, how is the greatest try ever from Garett Davies not on here?
You have omitted 2 that are better than all of these combined. Gareth Edwards and Philippe Saint-André.
cheetahs? thas's vs Jaguars!. 2:23
Aphiwe Dyanti against Jaguares, no against Cheetas
You can't compare club and international rugby, and it all depends on the quality of the opposition as well.
Bristol vs Toulon cup final
What about Thorleys vs Leicester?
Will add it in a second part !
