- In this episode of "The Dance Position", Anthony Lewis challenges some of the best country dancers in Texas for the remaining spots on the 2023 X Dance Team.
Country dancing is simply the fast growing style of social dance in the world. Whether you prefer Two Step, West Coast Swing, Country Swing, or Line Dancing, there is no doubt that country western dancing is growing faster than it has since the 1990s.
It is the goal of the X Dance Team to share the love of country dancing with everyone.

I don't know what you call this but the best dancers I've ever seen are at a Club called Hillbilly's in McAllen, Texas. You should check it out, they actually dance to the beat of the song, everyone has their own style and steps. They don't dance like it's mechanical where everyone does the same thing. I've been to many places and have seen how they dance, and the best dancers by far are at Hillbilly's. They shuffle, whip, two step and more.

Country dance kinda died out a lot starting around the early 00's... but now it's coming back. Stay tuned!
