I have most of what you went over except the audio. Thanks for the recommendation. I didn’t expect it to be cheap to get good audio. Luckily, I’m mostly a still shooter.
Have you found a L bracket which is compatible with the R6mkII? I had one by Small Rig on order at B&H but just got a notice they couldn’t fill the order. B&H suggested a Leofoto R5/R6 L bracket as a substitute but not sure if it is compatible with the rear screen and left side connecting ports.
Do you have a video on autofocus settings?? Been learning a lot with your videos, so thanks

I am getting ready to pull the trigger on an R6 Mark II. I decided on this camera because it now has video mode. Somehow I got it in my head that in video mode, you have the option to select shutter angle like the R5C. If there is one thing I ALWAYS forget to do on a busy shoot, it's resetting the shutter when I change frame rates. You manually set the angle in your video, I don't remember which one.
I can't find anything to say yea or nay on the matter. Have you looked at the menu to see if you can set the shutter angle at 180 degrees in Video Mode?
Thanks for binging me. It does not have shutter angle mode of what I have seen, but you can program c1 through c3 to be defaulted to the correct 180 degree shutter speed or close to when you switch over to your custom video settings. There is also an anti flicker mode where you can adjust shutter by .1 imcrements all the way down to 1/50th shutter. Hope that helps.

Hi. Thanks so much for your content. I had a question for you. Where did you see that the Ninja V+ would record at 6K 60FPS?
I email atomos last week asking if we can get 6k out of the Ninja V and they said yes at 30fps and v+ at 6k 60fps. It sounds like the R6 II has the firmware and Atomos will be updating theirs in January to support it.

@@elmaldonado I also did a quick Google search and saw 6k 60fps RAW on Canons literature too. I ordered the Ninja V+ and will have it in a few days. I look forward to the firmware update in January.

did they fix the problem on mark 2 r6 of the hotshoe coming off under the weight with the r6?
Wow! I have never heard of that happening. I haven't experienced that on either camera and I have had a atomos ninja on the hotshoe.

Yes it is. I use it a lot with it. It's compatible with anything that has a 3.5 mic jack.
Can you put the flash directly on the R6 II or do you need the adapter?
You can put the flash directly on the camera. No need for the remote transmitter. The transmittter does come in handy if you ever want to trigger the flash remotely.
@@JaredHoyman I was referring to the Canon AD-E1 Multi-Function Shoe Adapter. Is that needed to use the flash on camera.
@@kifley19 you dont need it on the R7, so its very most probably the same with the R6 II
I have a Ninja V. And we have February 2023. But contrary to what You mentioned there is no way to get 30fps in RAW out of my canon R6M2.
I never said you can get RAW out of the R6II. Not until they release the firmware update later this yr for the Ninja v and v plus. 6k raw 60fps in v us and 6k raw 30fps in V. We now have to wait.
It’s almost like UA-cam knows me, I just purchased both of these cameras 🙄

A few notes for the beginners….
1.Before you plop down cash on the Sennheisers there is way more to learn…watch Curtis Judd.
2. Atomos is known for poor color rendition, would never be seen on a set. Also, 6k raw wont make your video better.
3. Canons hotshoe is a stinker…id avoid the preamp.
4. OCF is more useful in the long run.
5. Devils advocates are fun right😂.
Ok....now leave 5 positive remarks 😉 I am curious...have you used either R7 or R6II electronic hotshoe with the tascam xlr? All the processing is done in the tascam and just recorded on the SD card. All pre-amps and sound settings are grayed out on the canon menu not allowing you to touch them because all the co tool and processing is on the tascam. That's how you're able to get 24bit audio recorded onto the card. Canon internal audio recording doesn't allow it. @CurtisJudd is definitely a wealth of knowledge. I do enjoy his channel. As for 6k Raw you are right. It doesn't male you better. The benefit is the same as someone who shoots raw photos over jpeg photos. More leverage in editing and bringing back information that would otherwise get missed.

You did not mention that Canon has changed the hot shoe on the R-6 II and you cannot use the canon 600 RTII flash without an adaptor ! and others!
