I always look at everything in a game as a way to plug the holes in your build. Now since we cannot change the legacy of the horadrim. Also you regular gems will help out some as well. That is where the paragon system that can be changed once per week can come to the rescue. I would give up some damage or life nodes to switch them for armor to cover that weakness. Sure I would have either less life or damage. The old saying a dead dps doesn't do any dps.
Thanks Jon. I've been going pretty heavy into that lately myself, too. Also, just to let ya know, I still don't use treasure hunter and haven't really noticed much difference... I just go between vengeance and gladiator (for pvp) and use the other trees for filling in my stats... It's worked out good for me...
I see so many people neglecting secondary stats and that's a very big mistake .Even people with 3-4k reso. I currently have 800+ on every single secondary and almost 900 on armor pen and potency. Upgrade your gems on the left people don't ignore them also level your iban fahd equally don't just dump points in armor pen and damage. Also potency increases every single dot,poison ,bleeds and seeping bile dot duration.
I try to keep mine around 950 for each secondary stats as it is as far as I can go for now and it gives me the highest percentage for each stats during PvP
I'm Hell 5, 345 lvl, but I have to do all my bounties in Hell III or I cannot get them done. I do believe this video will help me quite a lot. Thank you very much!
Thank you for making a video showcasing the importance of armor, but it does straight up decrease all damage taken period. For example I was 7155 cr and finished path of blood in just under 24 min. The last 15 levels I was below cr because I had the orange warning sign so it must be above 7200 cr for those levels. Even being below cr I was still able to go right up next to cold snap and take little damage because my armor is so far above at 1320 or something. I am in no way saying you need to have 1300 armor I was able to have 1300 armor pen 1300 armor and 9800 damage because I said f tier 3 wings and went the normal gem route and put much more value on keys from the start of the game than anyone else and my horadrim is as high as it can be without spending platinum on chests I created a build perfectly suited for my play style and you may not need as much armor, but as stated in the video I recommend putting some resources into it you will see a drastic change believe me, as always thank you for the content and appreciate you bringing this issue to light.
Can u share your resonance and other stats??ur stat suggestion was what i was looking for for so long.. Also please suggest which normal gems u focussed on and what minimum ranks should they be at to start showing effectiveness(or at what stat values do we start seeing the difference)...
My resonance is 2700 I stopped at 6 rank 5 4/5* which also gives you the 90% magic find which helps a ton. I stopped there because if you don't get lucky and have a couple 5/5 drop the coat to buy them or upgrade 4 4/5 to rank 6 is going to be around 1200-1500 which is a very expensive cosmetic in my opinion so I sold off all my extras and now I am focusing on normal gems. I will post screenshots of all my stats horadrim normal gems exedra on aftershock united discord as long as it is cool with them, if you don't mind giving me the thumbs up John I will go ahead and post pics instead of trying to describe everything in writing. I'll keep an eye out for a response don't want to photo bomb if it isn't cool.
Actually fortitude(and other such stats) translate into 1/10 to armour n a.pen... But it's rounded off to lower number... Meaning... 60fortitude>1/10>6a and a.pen 69fortitude>1/10>6a and a.pen 70fortitude>1/10>7a and a.pen Same for willpower to potency and resistance Also...can u show how to get tankier in PvP..i mean not cheat deaths but actually increase defence?cuz armour is based mostly on block chance...and i don't know how much block chance i can acquire.....
remove gems until your RES is 1K or below-even with your hellV gear still on- then see what actually FTP feels like. even if i re-speced heavy into armor maybe could survive but would be unable to do any DMG. look i know as FTP i need to grind way above Paragon thresholds to reach next hell levels thats fine. but ALL CCs showcase game play with PTW RES in the thousands. basically the transition up thru hell3 was pretty smooth but from 3to4 and now 4to5 there is a gap from where not much gains coming from gear grinding as you max out in a hell LVL but way short of next LVL. so i mentioned just had to grind way up in Paragon getting a little here and there from gear, heradrium and paragon trees. currently at PAR329 CR6500 RES800 and won’t be able to touch hell5 until probably close to PAR400. which is fine. but take your RES down to 1K or below then show us how that works

I'm playin' a barb. Was loading damage and armor. How important is armor pen versus armor? Getting killed in V. Thanx for all the great vids!!!!

6500 cr and you think that’s not enough for h5? What ar you smoking m8? I was farming h5 easily at 5300? With like 600 reso

Agreed, with that much cr H5 should be just as easy as H4 was
