So...that potentially makes things for the Titans look even worse as it was the defense, not the coverage team blocking for Raymond. Wow!

Can we please not overlook the way Jack Fox blasts off 60 yard punts like they're nothing? Stonehouse punted for 296 yards on 6 punts. Fox had 305 on 5 punts. He's ridiculous.
Not only Fox punting an average of 61 yards but the Lions coverage kept the net yardage at 55 so it's clear Jack wasn't outkicking the team's ability to cover it either.

But then again, the Lions are looking pretty dominant so far this season. I almost can't believe they have one loss, they've been so good. Pinching myself.
It’s very relevant. He never did anything remotely that good while in Tennessee. Almost all Titans players improve when they go to another team. This franchise is cursed.
@@elijahanderson8040 They're particularly cursed now. They just played Detroit. Every team that has played against the Lions has lost their next game, and most of them were in humiliating ways.

What you didn’t mention is that Raymonds punt return TD happened while the lions were preparing for a fake punt… it wasn’t even their punt return unit out there, it was the STARTING DEFENSE except for Raymond
On top of the return game dominance, Lions special teams was locked in on all aspects. Jack Fox was booming punts all game averaging over 60 yards on 5 punts, Jake Bates kicked 7 XPs and tied the franchise record for consecutive field goals with a 51 yarder, and the Lions only allowed 24 punt return yards on 5 punts with no touchbacks. Their only slip up was allowing 29 yards during the only titans kickoff return out of the 8 kickoffs from the Lions.
Detroit Pride!!!! Kings of the North!!!! Our team slaughtered the Titans!!!! Dan Campbell is a great tough coach... He teaches they listen and perform and boy did they perform!!!! True Grit!!!! 💪💪💪🔥🔥🔥!!!!!!
Watching this one (in highlights form) I was stunned by the poor tackling effort on the punt that was returned for a TD - both players who had got there in time hopelessly over committed - one was almost past the returner even before he caught it! They seemed to go one either side and left straight up the middle open. Maybe they thought there was another tackler straight in front so they were just covering the wide outlets? Just bizarre.
Can we give a little love to 57 on the Titans who ran down the field and all the way back to save that TD on the punt return? Dude looked cooked after that.

I thought you had to be exaggerating, so I went to Pro Football Reference to check the stat lines. You weren't exaggerating. The Lions had 61 net yards passing plus 164 yards rushing for 225 total offensive yards. They had *262* total return yards (72 kickoff return, 190 punt return). Not to mention they got 4 TDs and no INTs with those measly 61 passing yards. The Titans had 416 total yards but committed 4 turnovers against none for the Lions. This is almost as crazy as the Steelers-Texans stat line from 2002 (Steelers outgained the Texans 422-47, out-returned them 135-83, out-converted them with 24 first downs against 3, hogged the ball for 39:41 versus 20:19, gave up only one scoring drive - a FG - which covered *negative* eight yards, and lost 24-6 because three of their five turnovers were returned for TDs).
Nothing sums up the difference in rosters than special teams.
