Welcome back to Film Craze, today on the channel we are going to find out Who’s in, who’s out on Chicago Fire, Chicago PD and Chicago Med. It’s been quite an eventful season for NBC’s One Chicago dramas, which had welcomed a handful of new players while also bidding farewell to some beloved characters who have been part of the franchise for several years. At the start of the 2021-22 season, it was Chicago Med that saw the most casting changes with a string of high-profile departures and introductions of new blood. Then there’s Chicago Fire, which suffered one of its most shocking departures yet this season with a series lead stepping away early in the season, paving the way for new faces to join the 51 family. Finally, there has been Chicago PD. While the series has seen some casting shakeups over the years, this season has been relatively quiet for the One Chicago crime drama. Who’s left and who’s new this season? Here’s your look at the changes this season of Chicago Med, Chicago Fire, and Chicago PD have brought!
Who’s leaving Chicago Fire? Given season 9 concluded with the fates of several characters left up in the air, there were a lot of concerns over who could be leaving Chicago Fire. Fortunately, all members of Squad survived the ordeal and remain a key part of the cast. And while Boden (Eamonn Walker) has left 51 in taking on a new position in the CFD, he very much remains a part of the season 10 cast. Who’s new to the Chicago Fire cast? In terms of new additions, season 10 has introduced audiences to Jimmy Nicholas and Brett Dalton in the recurring roles of Paramedic Field Chief Evan Hawkins and Lieutenant Jason Pelham, respectively. The season also introduced Cameron Scott Roberts as Griffin Darden, the son of former 51 firefighter Andy Darden, and actor Jack Conley as Deputy District Chief Kilbourne. Casey didnt left to look after his kids in Oregon. He left to look after his friends kids who died in the first season, I believe it was the first death in the first episode

I must say I am Hank Voights biggest fan. I must also say the actors on P.D. are stellar. Each scene is as good as it gets. Imho. I do miss Antonio even though he got on my last nerve at times. He is a great actor . I cant say enough good things about the show. It is my favorite.

Chicago PD is the best. Favorite characters are Trudy, Kim and Adam. Love this show. I'm a senior nana who watches with my teenage granddaughter and we love to binge a few shows together
Agreed. I loved some of the nick names Trudy had for the officers in the early seasons. Burgess and Roman: Starsky and Putz, Adam: Teen Beat, Halstead: Detective Chuckles. lol

Why would anyone miss that obnoxious Gabriella Dawson. She was delightful only when getting her own way. The rest of the time she was scheming to get her own way come hell or high water. Matt Casey was the luckiest character in the series when she left and then dumped him.
She was annoying- Ms Always Right. It got worse the deeper you got into watching all the seasons. Going back and observing their chemistry....lol... THAT DIDN'T EXIST...uh no. I hated the way she treated Matt. She was too alpha, too DRAMA for me.

Failed to mention one of the very best characters on Chicago Med - MAGGIE. She's a crucial part of the show. All of the characters interact with her at some point, and nothing gets past her. She's awesome.

Chicago PD is my favorite. Al’s death was a total shock and I still miss him.
I wish they had kept Chicago Justice. I would have loved for it to round out the three we have now.

I started as a Chicago Fire fan and REALLY loved the series for several seasons. I thought no way would I ever be interested in Chicago PD. WELL , I have fallen for PD big time even more than I was for Fire! PD is intense as can be and makes Chicago Fire seem "light and sweet" by comparison! When PD is too much I go back to Fire and continue to watch past seasons I have never seen.
Same here, thought nothing could be better than Fire, but PD is waaayy intense. Haven't stopped since I started
Gabby Dawson ended up like the center for everything negative about Chicago Fire's drama and just got down right annoying. Hardly saw any fan comment that suggested she was popular in her last seasons, even in the few later appearances she had after her departure came a long list of fan comments that went "Oh God, not her again."

I didn't care for Natalie on Chicago Med, or Erin on Chicago PD. Both seemed to do the same things over and over again. Like both shows better without those characters.
Right now I only watch Fire and PD. My fav are Severide, Gallo, Kidd, Jay Halstead and Upton. And I like Trudy too. But you forgot a lot of characters: Nadia (I think even worst dead than Olinsky), Roman, V.Rojas and Jay's fridend who helped with all the media stuff; then in Fire:Mills, Chilli, Jimmy, Foster, Kelly's father, Cassey's wife, Jeff (who became a Doctor in Med) ... and Connie.
A friend of mine is an extra on these shows and others done here in Chicago a lot

Chicago Fire is my favorite of the three as well; excellent characters, actors/writing, Med comes in 2nd...same reasons. I like a few of the PD characters, but that Voight makes it hard to watch; not enough likeable characters; but there's a few.

I watch Chicago Fire reruns because it contains the original cast. The new cast members at night on the show I can't relate to.
i haven't seen the newer episodes I've been watching the older ones since that's what is on TV for me 99.9 % of the time lol

I'm looking forward to Chicago Fire. I've watched some crossover episodes of PD and Med. Likewise, I would love to get into the other shows when I find some time. Lauren German made a smart move when she left to do Lucifer, I did miss Shay, though. Hopefully, Matt comes back, I want to see more of his relationship with Sylvie.

@@anthonyyoung6433 I remembered the crossover episode where Chicago Fire had to rescue those sanitation workers from the gas leak in the sewers.
Lauren actually didnt want to leave, believe it or not. The directors and writers realised that they had to write off a character to add shock value to the show. The decided on Shay because everyone loved her and they knew that people would watch. Lauren was sad to go, of course, but i am happy for her on lucifer of course
My Mom has gotten me addicted to Chicago evenings, Chicago MD is our favorite. My Mom is 80yrs old but she never fails to text me. She has to make sure I have already walked her Granddog so we are ready for our TV! lol

Chicago Fire is the best. I tried watching Med but it had no pull for me. Never watched PD because I jus hate hate hate Voight. I was incredibly sad when Shay and later Otis were killed off. But the worst loss the series suffered was definitely Jesse Spencer. For the show to lose its lead is a blow and it’s understandable that Jesse’s absence feels like a giant hole. The one I never missed was Dawson. She was super annoying because everything had to be her way or she threw a hissy fit /
Voight has changed and grown so much over the years. I used to despise him, but I love him now.
You nailed it all as I think. I miss the connection between Severide and Casey, they made a great leadership. Dawson was getting in my nerves lol.

@@andrewward2010 From when he first appeared on Chicago Fire as a dirty cop who tried to get Casey killed or imprisoned for reporting his son who was driving drunk and got an innocent boy crippled. They’ve tried to whitewash Voight later in the series but I never bought that…

I recently began checking out to Chicago PD--That series is AWESOME!!!!!!!!
One thing that the Dick Wolfe franchise did that I did not appreciate was, first of all, killing off Nadia Decotis, and then 2nd, throwing the last moments of her life over to a now obscure episode of Law & Order SVU, which I will now apparently have to pay to watch online.
I really looked forward to seeing Nadia develop into a police officer, but now we've been robbed of that.
I mostly watch Chicago fire because from season one through to the current season 10 my all time favorite character on fire has been & still is LT. Kelly Severide because it's truly memorable how Heroic & caring his character has been and it's really crazy how many times his characters Life has been put in serious life threatening danger over the run of the series from the beginning . And Yes it took him some time to grow up and yes he was definitely a little bit of a bad boy back in the earlier seasons & honestly you didn't really know from one episode to the next episode who he was going to end up in bed with next or possible in a short term relationship with no doubt he was truly the bad boy in his younger days on Fire. But thats only one side of his memorable character however the other side of his character is the side that I have truly loved from season one up until now and that's the HEROIC, COURAGEOUS and TENDER CARING SIDE OF KELLY SEVERIDE the side that Truly cares about everyone else's lives no matter who they are but especially his close'es friends starting with Shay ( seasons 1 + 2 ) even though shay was gay which means her & Severide couldn't actually become a couple they were still Best friends and when shay decided she wanted to become a mother she never really could find the the right one to become a good donor for her to possibly have a baby she finally asked Kelly if he would be willing to become her donor he pretty much said yes in no time flat that he would would be glad to do so . Then in season 5 Kelly met a really nice lady with whom he eventually fell in Love with named Anna who was sick with cancer & in the hospital ( at Med ) needing & waiting on a match to be a
Bonemarrow donor for her surgery that she needed to live so Kelly went into give a blood test & come to find out that he was actually the same blood type as Anna so eventually when Anna got to the point when she needed the Bonemarrow surgery Kelly decided to go ahead & risk it all to do the surgery to be Anna's donor even though Kelly was already hurt & in the hospital himself at the time after he was injured with a concussion & a few other injuries after he jumped / fell out of a high rise window during a
fire rescue . Not to mention all the other people's lives he's saved during the whole time this series has been on . Another good example of Kelly's heroism came through on season 3 of chicago fire in the episode ( The Apocalypse ) When a mentally unstable guy threatened to blow up chicago Med hospital & everyone who was there including Casey, Dawson , Brett , Herman, Kelly himself & several others. So when the guy was about ready to blow the hospital up with a gernaide it was Severide who reacted & jumped into action first to try & stop the guy from blowing everyone up by knocking the guy backwards away from everyone which he was able to do & save almost everyone there. However Kelly himself was hit hard by the shrapnel from the gernaide and he ended up getting severely injured & had to have an emergency surgery to save his life 😢
But the fact that he cares deeply about everyone else's lives so much is one of the many reasons I truly love his character ❤ And his character NOW has done a 180
And has completely changed for the better from his character in the earlier seasons probably more than any other character . SEVERIDE # 1 ALWAYS 💙
But when it comes to chicago fire in my opinion the first 7 seasons of fire are by far the best seasons. Because especially starting with season 8
the series started losing several of its original & best cast members because a lot of new characters & faces came to the series in seasons 8 - 10 .
And as far as I'm concerned the current season 10 is by far the worst overall season to date because of so many new & less interesting characters
And storyline 's especially the new ( Chief Hawkins & Violet/ Gallo love triangle ) just not a huge fan of those particular characters. And to a point I do like the whole
Severide & OFI investing storyline stuff mainly just because it gives Severide another possible career path down the line incase he has to leave rescue squad for some reason at some point. But other than that season 10 has definitely been my least favorite overall season & honestly I'm not sure if the up coming season 11 will be any better unless they decide to come up with more intense action (which I 💜 love ) and better storyline !
@@misst.hackley2937 because of the pandemic and longer shooting schedules it’s harder for them to do the more exciting fires and rescues. Not to mention cross overs as well. It’s been a tough season 10 with losing Jesse Spencer’s character, but I think they are doing the best that they can to keep it interesting. I love the fact that they created conflict and then resolved the issue revolving around Stellaride. It showed that they are in it for the long haul and they are willing to resolve any issues by communicating better. It shows a real growth. I too am not a big fan of Hawkins and Violet. It’s going to be interesting how this all shakes out considering that the brass at CFD have gotten wind of it. As far as new people goes the show has to add new people from time to time. It’s been on for 10 yrs and new blood hopefully brings in more eyes to the series. Since they are winning the Wednesday night ratings adding new cast members makes perfect sense. I heard David Eigenberg say if the series goes for another 10 seasons he won’t be around for it. Everyone is getting older on the series so new blood makes the opportunity for others to be the eventual new stars. I for one hopes Severide never goes to OFI, because I like the excitement of Squad. He can dabble with arson from time to time but not go there permanently.

Yeah I liked Alvin Olinsky a lot hated to see him go. Matt Casey, I could care less. I do like Severide and think he plays a good part. The chief, yes Boden is well played by Eammon Walker. Both Halsteads are well represented. Most of the others, too many to name do a great job hope they don’t make too many changes. Nice video thank you.

Comes to Stella kids character also especially on the first half of season 10 so far mainly with the way she treated Severide by pretty much ignoring his calls & just pretty much ghosting him for the biggest part of season 10 this after he finally was able to get up enough confidence to finally propose to Stella. So honestly I'm not a huge fan of hers especially for the biggest part of season 10 .

I have always loved PD, but that changed for me when Nadia was killed.. it was the beginning of the end for Erin and she was my favorite character. Haven't watched it since then

That is one thing about shows that have been going for so long that cast change for any reason and then u loose watchers cause whoever they like to see left and not care to see replacements much or dont like the rest of cast for any reason.
Erin, Al and Otis really hurt. And on Chicago med the blond with the drug addiction mother bring a lot to that show she definitely needs to come back

I don't think that is accurate. Adam volunteered to say he pushed the guy out of the window and if Antonio had came in later and told the truth they would have both been fired.

They don't seem to care too much about the viewers IMO especially on Fire, because the writers do have a habit of killing off or using some other horrid tragedy to get rid of favorite characters , as they claim " to shake things up... which sucks!

Who Casey put through that window
I was never fully invested in Med, but I started giving it a chance late last season. Unfortunately, with the start of this season with the story arc about one of the doctor's going undercover to investigate a medical supply company's fraud, which abruptly had wrapped with the FBI zooming in to arrest execs at the company Christmas Party, I realized that I am just not as into the full One Chicago franchise as I thought I was. Despite watching every episode of the season up to that point, I somehow missed that Janissa (I think that's what her name was) had been part of the scheme. I distinctly remembered that the doctor had told Epatha's character that she didn't appear to be in on it, but now there she was getting cuffed and incredulously asking the doctor how he could do that to her (meaning rat the company out). I completely missed some damning information - even though I was supposedly watching the whole time. I realized then that it was time to quit Med.
the good thing about the undercover operation and this season, it was a welcome departure from the usual soap opera of love triangles. that was getting real old. yeah it seemed to resolve itself abruptly.
Great twist would be to bring Otis back, but as his twin brother, a child his mother had Along with him, nobody knew, imagine Otis walking in as someone else, be a mind blower
With Chicago Med, they seemed to flirt around hinting that the head of ED was making judgmental choices...patients he disapproved of dying mysteriously offscreen. I think the last one was someone who regretted his life choices...I think he admitted he had killed someone. He mysteriously became a flatliner and the doc twisted his statement "A life for a life" when the guy's organs could save other patients' lives. Am I the only one who thinks that doc has become the Grim Reaper at times? (I'm sure it's just PTSD.) Seemed like an ominous pattern, but they have never explicitly run with it.

I love all 4 shows! Yes I said 4... they shouldn't have canceled Chicago Justice!!!
Fire and Justice and great shows but for me personally its down neck and neck between PD and Med for my favorite. PD clearly has the best cast in the franchise and is the most straightforward, while Med is the most educational out of all of them. I can't get enough of either one.

Worst one that made me cry so much was Otis I only watch Chicago fire and Chicago med but I haven’t seen the new season of Chicago med yet
I stopped watching all of the Chicago shows when they killed off Otis! I was heartbroken! They are all such good shows! Maybe some day I will start watching again! RIP Otis!!😔
I hope Jesse Spencer goes back to Australia to appear in Neighbours again as Billy Kennedy before it finishes for good before returning back to America to make another appearance in Chicago Fire.
I love Chicago Fire one of my favorite is Gabby Dawson Herman Severide Casey but I really like and I love Gabby Dawson I like to get her autograph and I also like the rest of the characters on Chicago Fire Chicago Fire is my number-one show
I don’t like a lot of new “woke” episodes. You can definitely tell Chicago PD was way better in its early seasons, not until the “woke bs”started, you see the show getting pussified
Chicago Fire…Otis dying and Matt leaving were heartbreaking!
I do not care what the narrator says about Dr Natalie Manning not being a character that lacked integrity or was self centered. I miss her and Chicago Med has taken a step down since she left.
I did not mind Gabby leaving. They made her way too intense.
Chicago Fire is by far the WORST TELEVISION SHOW and the most PATHETIC ACTING OF ANY BROADCAST TV offering out there. Any second grade acting class would do a far better job of acting. I was taken aback by just how bad the acting and writing is on CHICAGO FIRE.
I love Fire and PD. Fav character on Fire is Stella Kidd and on PD is Upton
