G Wagen is definitely one of a kind. Considering the G550 myself, G63 markup is too expensive for me at the moment. But I will make one objection to what you stated about Wrangler & G class, there’s one other vehicle that’s has similar capability, body on frame, has a V8 and luxury type comfort: Lexus GX 460. The GX isn’t as quick, or luxurious but it hangs off road and is a nice place to be on road trips. I’d say it’s a happy medium between a G and a Wrangler.
My GLB35 will be paid for next year. I want to add one of these to my garage a second car to have for bad weather conditions in Houston lol, but I’ve been hearing terrible things about fuel consumption.
This is a great vid for me. I live in Franklin County VA. You? I thought you said Loudon County? Too many people for me. I am exactly in your frame of thought. I have a farm (100+-) and life waaay of the hardsurface...and love it. I've got two '06 Duramax's (and love them) but am looking for a comfortable, all wheel drive SUV. The G wagon seems like it fills a niche no other car manufacturer does. Too, I drove a G550 and was impressed! Plenty of power and the IFS made the thing waaaaay better handling than the 2008 I rode in. Many thanks for the vid. And, have you hit a deer with it yet???
It's a great ride man... arguably bext factory 4x4 on the planet. But drives amazing and quite on the inside. I own multiple Jeeps over the years. Still love a built jeep. But all things being equal - G wagon will win every time in every measurement
I have a terrible back and I am trying to decide between a G550 or an Escalade. Only driven a G about 5 minutes and had a Yukon for years and enjoy that vehicle. Your thoughts?
@@golfer7153 The G suspension is softer but the optional big wheels with thin tires makes you feel small bumps. The old G felt like a sailboat at high speeds the new one drives normal. I wouldn’t get a Escalade it’s ridiculously big in tight parking spots and sucks fuel.
@@DogtrainerRidgesideK9 well formula say Liter/100km = 235.2145/mpg In this case that is 235.2145/18.1 = 13L That is awesome for the vehicle of this size. Very good video 👍
Riding on dirt gravel roads is not going off road. An older TJ Wrangler with a 4.0L and 5 speed will out perform a G- Wagon off road. Go off road against one, see how it goes, and then post that
Hahaha... man - I love Jeeps and have owned many and do own a few.. I would counter your argument though with - drive the Jeep across country and then off road at random stops in between. G-wagon will embarrass the Jeep everytime. Let's not even talk about towing - G-wagon wins by tons and tons.. And if TIRES are equal on both the Jeep and G-wagon, G-wagon wins everytime.... again - if all things are equal, exact same tires, G-wagon wins everytime in everything... And I own 2 Jeeps currently...
I love the no nonsense approach to this review.
thank you
i really love this guy. This is my first video by him ive watched and i feel so good about it .
Thhanks guys.. Truly means alot
Agree, the average fuel consuption is pretty good for a car this size, speed, and power.
Exactly
My TRX has an amazing interior.
It’s all about what you want in a vehicle, my friend.
Your video is awesome. Thank you for sharing. Fun personality also.
Thx man

Have owned a Lexus 570. Agree. 570 and 460 are great off road

twin turbo V8 and crazy heavy vehicle, hard to get good good. But you can absolutely get decent in my opinion
Ok that’s it. That’s my next car ! Was wondering if the 2025 would worth it instead of the 2024.
Yeah it’s going to be my daily driver
I thunk it would be

G is 10x better built.
G is smaller
G is FAR better off road if needed
G has WAY better head room
G tows less
G is smaller inside
@@DogtrainerRidgesideK9 but do you get fatigue from driving it? Is it work to drive compared to caddy?

Do hear wind noises when you go over 75 miles
No
Would that be 18 miles per US Gallon ?
Yupper
You have both a left and right side driver in the states? Am I seeing things
Its left hand drive. Just the angle of the camera
Loved this review ❤️ can u plz do another one???? Plz 😢
Will do
@@DogtrainerRidgesideK9 🐐
The reason I've heard is due to reliability. System in G is proven, while new system in GLE/GLS isn't.
Facts
got me bugging with the left right drive side angle 🤣
Should have flipped the cam.... left hand drive
Wait, that is just 13l/100km ???
Can't do the math. You tell me

is it a mild hybrid?
I see the charge on the instrument cluster
Yes!
I like cars that can morph into a rhd one.
Okay
This guy is a G ; blah blah blah
Most people will pamper this car but he don't give a damn.
G in a G
1000%. Is what it is
