10 Day Trend - Icy start and possible windy spell next week

- Frost, ice and a little snow feature in the next few days as its stays cold. Next week uncertainty rules and there’s the potential for a windy spell. Alex Deakin talks us through the scenarios.

It's winter so anything is possible..the only thing we know is it ain't gonna be very warm 😪

That low pressure zone in the south looks a bit similar to the one in october 1987

Hi Magic, it’s not meant to be a traditional forecast. The aim is to explain what might happen next week, what the uncertainties are and why there is uncertainty. Some people find it useful and interesting to know what our meteorologist are looking at. It’s not for everyone.

@@TheIlhanTheElequent_ishaq was thinking that. It's only a forecast not guaranteed weather and the same goes for the day to day forecast, only predictions rather than certainty.
Very disappointing, I was hoping for lots of blocking and widespread, extreme, record breaking snow events.

Brilliant - a forcast that does not really tell you anything - then a 'confidence' chart. What ever happened..?

@@metoffice well give us the forecast for the rest of the week and then we'll compare it. My prediction is cold getting warmer with rain increasing across the country with a touch of frost in the mornings warming up during the day and getting colder during the night. I thank you!
