OMG, what a comparision. I have never seen anyone freeze frame the spots where they both are at the same area so you can see side by side. You deserve a sub!
Just got my Javelot yesterday. The moonlight mode will save to memory.
Huge thanks for this comparison video, awesome!!!
I was considering to upgrade my Javelot Mini to this new Javelot, thanks to you I will keep the Mini ^^
Imo, this Javelot is a massive improvement over the mini. This flashlight has been next to my porch door here on the farm since the day I got it. Tons of throw for its size. Good review as per usual 🙌
I know I am atypical , but I use moonlight more than any other mode on all of my lights except my wheelchair bag lights. I spend most of my time in my cave, with the lights low, and use my lights to spot light things in here I am trying to find. or moving around the house when everyone else is asleep. so I really like how many lights Olight has been putting a moonlight mode on. .5lm is more than enough to move around the house with out disturbing others.
thanks for a good overview of both lights.
Another excellent review. Thank you
Hello, I have a question. I'm now getting to know all the different flashlight options, I didn't imagine there were so many brands, I preferred to buy a North American brand, but when I saw that both Streamlight and Surefire make flashlights that don't seem to innovate as much and aren't extremely modest in terms of lumens and candelas I'm interested in Chinese brands.
Like everyone else, I like to buy products that last a long time, in your experience which brands last the longest without showing defects? Which flashlights from which brands have you used for years and have not failed.
CHRISpy Things !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
GOOD Review! 👍 I have the Mini, and not sure if I will pick this up. I’m liking the new color of the Warrior 3s, but having 3 of that model already, will probably pass? Take care Be safe!
For what it's worth, i always appreciate seeing the heat numbers. I hate lights that are bright, but get too hot to be useful after 10 seconds of being on. Good video as always!
Also: a comparison to the Warrior X4 would be cool. I feel like they are pretty similar (smallish 21700 throwers).
There’s a few reasons I didn’t do the heat test. The main reason is I was cramming a few videos in a day and was trying to edit 4 of them all within a couple days. All because I’m working 6 days a week on a job til the end of March and needed to slim down the video some. I’ll still do the heat test
comparison to the fryer would be good as well.
For long range lights, need to find a open area with an object or tree line at 500 yards to really see what they are capable of. Very useful info if you plan on mounting on a good rifle and know how to use it.
Sure. But I don’t have that available.
So I’m going to continue demonstrating in this area
How about showing how good the bezel holds up breaking some auto glass? I’ve seen some do on reviews, useful info!
Great review I’ll keep the mini honestly both are great but if you have the mini it doesn’t look like it’s totally worth an “upgrade”
Does the tail switch UI toggle like the Warrior series of lights also?
I wish the mini came with the 18650 battery!!!!! I already have that one lol and the warrior x4
How the beam compare to the Marauder Mini in beam mode or the Warrior3S ?
A very good, highly reliable, and nice-looking 650 lumens flashlight...
The Javelin (not the mini) is the light I would buy...
Super
I have a layman's question, in every video I see the person shows the flashlight charging cable, where it connects to the flashlight and they never show where the other end goes. Do I still have to buy a charger in addition to the flashlight? If I have to buy it, is it a proprietary charger from the company or can it be used by anyone?
The other (non proprietary) end is a traditional USB-A. Fortunately it is compatible with multiple electronics and automotive ports. Hope that helps 😊 🍻
Hi again
No strobe????
It has a strobe.
Tripple click the side switch. But I don't think you can "program" it to have strobe on the tailswitch like the Warrior series though. Which is a shame 😕
