2025 Cadillac XT4 Base Price Up Nearly $3k

Earlier in May, whispers from the automotive grapevine hinted at a price hike for the 2025 Cadillac XT4, especially with the discontinuation of the base Luxury trim. Back then, we speculated that the price increase could be anywhere from $3,600 to $5,000, given the typical jump between the base and mid-level trims, plus the addition of some enticing new features.
But now, we have the official word: the 2025 Cadillac XT4's price bump is a more modest $2,900. Starting at $41,990, the new base model is the Premium Luxury trim. This is only $2,000 more than the 2024's base Luxury trim, which was priced at $39,090. Interestingly, despite the overall price increase, the 2025 XT4's higher trims are more wallet-friendly than before.
That's right! Compared to last year's models, the 2025 XT4 Premium Luxury and Sport trims come at a reduced price. The Premium Luxury trim kicks off at $41,990, making it $700 cheaper than last year's version. Meanwhile, the Sport trim starts at $42,790, which is $400 less than before.
So, why the price shift? Cadillac's decision to drop the base Luxury trim plays a big part. But there's more! The 2025 XT4 now includes the previously optional Active Safety Package as standard. This package, which used to set buyers back $1,825, includes advanced safety features, enhancing the XT4’s appeal.
Even with these additions, Cadillac managed to keep the price increase much lower than anticipated. We expected a $5,000 jump, but Cadillac has pleasantly surprised us by keeping it to just $2,900, making the 2025 XT4 an even more attractive option for luxury SUV enthusiasts.
