If Richard Feynman were starting over in today’s university atmosphere, would he even make it to grad school? Debatable.

The segment discussing use of The Bomb is typical of such narratives- the scientists who built the bomb believing that they somehow accessed a superior morality when it came to dropping the weapon on Japan, and somehow entertaining the notion that they would have any control over the bomb once it was made. The idea that the U.S. would lose tens of thousands of lives in an invasion of Japan rather than lose the bomb is ludicrous.
