My issue is the core combat looks boring, having too much fun playing POE 2 to care honestly, the combat looks like a snooooze. Hopefully in a few years when I look at Ashes again the combat will be in a better state.

All these showcases and come to find it's not actually implemented content. FYI - based on most games, you lost $430. I bought into Star Citizen long ago for $60. I will not pay money to be a tester, Steven is out of his mind to expect this... EA, Alpha/Beta, should all be free to play. The amount of devs that have taken players money and given nothing in return is insane.

Well 6 Month ago Pantheon went from Great Graphics to Cartoon Graphics & Here they are letting People send $40 on an Early Access & you spend the next 3 months leveling up to level 40 & yes it's going to take 3 or 6 months before you get there if you remember EverQuest 1999 at all.
the fun part is that (despite the fact the most of the people cant remember) AOC was originally in UE3 and then they moved to UE4, which actually looked very good since the first day, specially in apoc. Then they downgraded graphics, with ue4, on the launch on alpha 1, and sama heppened when they moved to UE5. What is even more funnier is that AOC in UE3 looks better than current AOC in UE5.

This isn't abnormal in my professional experience, what is abnormal is for the CEO to comment - generally if they're watching, they're "lurking" rather than announcing their presence. Or it's the communications director/department doing that. So is it weird? Only in the sense that he made his presence known - but that has been his M.O. from what I can see. It's pretty obvious that you have your mind made up, but you're asserting a sort of creepiness to something that happens all the time in serious businesses that deal with public opinion.

Knowing our characters would get wiped between phases is what stopped me from doing any real grinding. So I plan on just checking in on the game very casually over the course of development. I think some people may have set themselves up for disappointment because they were hoping for too much from an Alpha. But it's gonna be very impressive if they do create all the biomes and gameplay systems over the next couple years that they hyped up. Not true. We're not haters here. I myself used to be one of the biggest fans and supporters of this game, I really enjoyed Alpha 1 and at the time everything they did was very impressive also everything that Steven was talking about prior to Alpha 1 was in the game. But things clearly went downhill since then, they have made a ton of stupid mistakes that other studious do and kill their games, plus... Steven broke his word and promises. The only way to be a part of Alpha 2 is to buy the $250 pack. We will stop the sales of this pack soon and there won't be others. So if you want A2 access, get it before it's too late. I'm just saying that screaming automatic scam without trying to gather evidence is literally click bait/rage bait and is just as much of a SCAM as selling Founders packs and then alpha keys at different levels creating FOMO to get more money out of people. The thing is even Pantheon isn't Free it's $40 & you can level up to level 40 now is the Game finish Nope & will not be Release for 2 Years from Now but it's in Early Access.

Steven is farming gamer points. Gamers in general distrust video game head honchos, thanks EA Games and the likes. But then, if the CEO says some wacky thing, or looks like 'a guy I could have a beer with,' then all of a sudden it's the complete opposite. He's the messiah and praise be to the dev god. He, or a member of his team, clearly manually searched for the right keywords, 'ashes of creation' and 'scam,' or synonyms, and now he's playing the role of: 'omg guys, the CEO who MANUALLY replies to EVERY VIDEO himself!!! Whaaaaaaaaaat!!! CEOs don't do that! He's so down to earth!!!!' Farming idiot points. Then Asmongold will react and reflect this exact sentiment.

It is people like you why game developers don't openly communicate with players. If they never showed us what the game would eventually look like, your expectations would not have been so high. So congratulations on causing all future game developers to not show works in progress and only show us what is currently in the game.
Do you like to see works in progress of your favourite film and tv series before they come out? Unfinished scripts, unedited footage with the boom mic in frame? Why would anyone want to ruin a game for themselves by seeing wip anything from it? Nobody wants that and development shouldn't be handled that way, Intrepid shouldn't be applauded for trying to do it.

@@WumpusAmungus because the open development approach means they never will release the game, it will be a perpetual buggy alpha indefinitely just like Star Citizen, the approach is flawed and needs to be called out and confronted. You shouldn't be supporting money being charged for a product that doesn't exist yet and WILL NEVER exist, it's a scam, shame on you.
Not true. We're not haters here. I myself used to be one of the biggest fans and supporters of this game, I really enjoyed Alpha 1 and at the time everything they did was very impressive also everything that Steven was talking about prior to Alpha 1 was in the game. But things clearly went downhill since then, they have made a ton of stupid mistakes that other studious do and kill their games, plus... Steven broke his word and promises. The only way to be a part of Alpha 2 is to buy the $250 pack. We will stop the sales of this pack soon and there won't be others. So if you want A2 access, get it before it's too late. This is what they kept saying each and every stream. Then they come up with the $120 access packs. Isn't that very scammy and just bad for all the people who bought the $250 one?
