Awesome! I was just punching on your Slane castle Scar tissue cover since last night and could not reproduce some great sounds you got on that intro, great break down and brilliant timing :) thanks again for sharing your love of Frusciant's work.
Just came across your channel. Thank you for posting such a detailed video on scar tissue. Nothing else goes quite in depth as you do on UA-cam. Keep up the great work!!
wonderful tutorial, you took it soo calmy and easily.... can you please also give the tutorial for don't forget me live one by red hot chili peppers. I'm learning now, someday I'll play it, thank you for this lesson ❤️
Maybe it will be better to expand a bit on music theory. Both by the way and scar tissue are in the c major, but the intro is in d minor/f major, which is the mixolydian mode. There’s a slight key/mode change but it goes rly smooth. Maybe the chord F major takes a important role in scar tissue, so it’s better to shift a bit to the flat side in the chord progression circle
I have to admit that every time I relearn this riff, I play it differently. xD So very interesting to hear your take on it. :)
Thanks, Vigi! Your lesson is awesome!

what drive did john frusciante use on this solo ? big muff or boss DS2 ?
He use both.
He uses DS-2 for 1 and 2nd solo
Last solo he uses both.
日本語なのでありがたいです!

I never liked when he played it at the 3rd fret. Sounds too thin. The 8th fret version is much better.
