The GPS-N from Micnova is a low cost unit which has GPS location tagging for Nikon cameras, comes with both cable connectors and has a plug in remote control too. It can tag exif images with GPS location and altitude data. It's also branded under several names such as SevenOak among others.
I unbox the Micnova, take a more detailed look at the unit, and test the accuracy, discuss some of the design elements and overall thoughts so far using this unit. It's also an alternative to using the sometimes problematic SnapBrigde app, which can have problems with GPS tagging (in my experience, and connection issues at times too)

Thanks for posting this video. How long did it take for the GPS to charge once on the shoe? Do the camera and the GPS devices both need to be on in order to charge? I've put a fully charged battery on my Nikon and I never get the green light on the GPS. I hope you can help me. Thanks!

There is no battery in the GPS, it is powered by the camera. The light should flash green when it's searching and go static when locked. I would re-check the cables to ensure they are connected.
