I would recommend all left-handed shortcuts, pretty exclusively, and a mouse with programmable buttons for the most used buttons like enter, tab, backspace, shift and control. To keep looking down at the computer and bring the right hand back and forth from the mouse the keyboard is a lot of wasted time.

Absolutely Hannah - but you are getting into OG Keybaord Shortcuts on that front. I wholeheartedly agree mind you - if users can take the time to migrate all defaults to their "Off-Hand) preference on the keyboards than they asbolutely should. For this video in particular I wanted to make is Accessible for relatively new users so they are not overwhelmed with 200 keyboard shortcut remaps so that they can experience the benefit and then go down the route you correctly suggested above.

@@chrisy05 yeah I'll put it on my very, very long list of videos to get to. Just have a newborn in our household for the last few weeks and two others under 5 so it may be a while yet before I can get back on the video production front 😅 Glad you are finding the info informative Chris. Feel free to drop a query at any time in the discord chat and I or other community members will get back with a few suggested solutions.

@@8020BIM Brillaint thanks, yeah no rush family first. I'm over in Scotland so your videos are ideal for me similarity wise. Been going through all and seen you had posted on one of the videos you will update with more advanced videos. Looking forward to more content when you get the chance.
I'll sign up to membership and get discord sorted for chatting with you and the community. Came from autocad for 12 years to a new position with mainly revit so just getting up to speed with it. Thanks for quick replies. I'll sort the content and membership access this week.

@@chrisy05 you are too kind, thanks for the incoming support Chris. Yeah our standards are very alike, many Irish firms even use BS codes as a secondary confirmation for regulatory and compliance matters so the overlap is significant. I have even worked a few civils jobs in Scotland from here so that says it all really. Look forward to having you join us Chris, speak to you soon.

How can we add new commands (not keyboard shortcut) to the Assigment list? Some command that I wish to have dosent eksist in the Assigment list. for example "Activate view"

      Hi Leila,
I am afraid I have no eperience in creating new custom commands in the KB Shortcut List. I suspect you will need to be an API developer to develop an add-in that would provide that function.
