Easter is a Monday celebration for the spring season and it's a tribute to the goddess of fertility Eshtar. I wish you would select a better label to remember Jesus such as Passover or Good Friday or Resurrection or Christ Passion. The label of Easter is not related to Jesus at all.
I am in total agreement with you, am real disappointed to hear that title from our our conference president who previously taught us that SDA don't celebrate easter are we all Catholics now? Because of the ecumenical movement, especially now with all the attention being place on Sunday in the media and around the world. I am really stun.. The message is good, but mix with little error and compromise makes it tasteless to say the least.
"good" "friday" is still enmity with God as per Exo 23:13 all the days of the week, month, are pagan! they literally even named "April" "April fools" to mock us as that's the beginning of the Year God gives us in the Bible and the proof is everywhere as that's when the seasons reset. Mercy goodness we need to continue Praying for us all to wake up and study scripture! Shalommmmmm
