Thankful for your ministry, Ligonier. Binge watching the Ontario Conference videos. Praise God for providing means to defend and uphold the truth in this post-postmodern age. Soli Deo gloria!

If you're not sure that you're saved ask God for the Holy Spirit, and He'll be with you night and day and lead you in to the truth and give you comfort and faith.

Universalism is just a lie! It totally contradicts the bible and teachings of Jesus. He said the path is narrow and the gate is too small and there will be few who will find it. Jesus talked about hell more than anyone else. You should be simply in denial to believe that everyone at the end will be saved. To believe so it makes the gospel useless; meaning no judgement and no eternity. Get out of such deception. Praying for you!

      @@alennazarpour5020 Thanks for the prayer.
I disagree that it contradicts the Bible. However I agree that it's hard to rhyme with some of Jesus' teachings, how God would do it I don't know.
The path and gate won't change. They are Jesus ("I am the Way") ("I am the door"). I agree there are few who find Him. However, Jesus says "Ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free". To anyone. That would make me confident that all men will find the truth and be free. Also, God says all Israel will be saved. Despite them being enemies of the gospel a few verses before. There are many more verses that support universal salvation. The man who is handed over to Satan, who might still be saved in the day of the Lord is one. I'll finish with what I find one of the strongest indirect ones though: "Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed". Other translations have "disappointed" instead of ashamed, which might make it even stronger. There would be people ashamed of God if He'd torture someone forever imo. Never mind disappointed if only one of their relatives is missing in heaven.

I agree with the Bible as explained by dr. Parsons that universalism is unbiblical. Not everyone is saved, not everyone will be saved. So, if any of you think that universalism will saved you, you are wrong. Only Jesus will save you.

I disagree with Dr. Burk Parsons that universalism would take away from the Gospel. How much more glorious does it make the Gospel if everyone is saved.

      @ZoneFighter1 "Universalism denies God's justice.
      "
Does God forgiving you and me deny His justice? If not, then so can it be with others, even all men.
"Universalism is contrary the the clear word of God.
      "
I think it is proclaimed in the Word of God. I'll give you 5 examples:
"For therefore we both labour and suffer reproach, because we trust in the living God, who is the Saviour of all men, specially of those that believe." 1 Timothy 4:10
"Therefore as by the offence of one judgment came upon all men to condemnation; even so by the righteousness of one the free gift came upon all men unto justification of life." Romans 5:18
"And, having made peace through the blood of his cross, by him to reconcile all things unto himself; by him, I say, whether they be things in earth, or things in heaven." Colossians 1:20
"And all flesh shall see the salvation of God." Luke 3:6
"When all things are subjected to him, then the Son himself will also be subjected to him who put all things in subjection under him, that God may be all in all." 1 Corinthians 15:28
"Christ said he died for his sheep, for his friends, for his church not for everyone. He told the unbelieving jews they could not hear his voice because they were not his sheep. He said the sheep and the goats will be seperated on judgement day. When he praid in the garden before the cruifiction he said he did not pray for all but only for those that are the Father;s"
I agree. But the sheepfold/church may grow, until God will be all in all.
"Hebrews 9:28: So Christ was once offered to bear the sins of many; and unto them that look for him shall he appear the second time without sin unto salvation.
      Many not all."
It's interesting that here it says many. That's already better than the "few who find it" in Matthew. In Romans it says all:
"Therefore as by the offence of one judgment came upon all men to condemnation; even so by the righteousness of one the free gift came upon all men unto justification of life." Romans 5:18

Universalism gives a false hope and false assurance of salvation. I agree with dr. Burke parsons that universalism or universal salvation is unbiblical. Not everyone is saved and and some people do not even want Jesus and they even hate Jesus , and do not want to be saved.

@@oaoalphachaser I'm not suggesting everybody is saved (not even close), but will be.
The source of this ("false") hope is scripture. And Jesus would know a little leaven would leaven the whole lump. So why put these messages of hope in the Bible if it isn't true?
