    I hope you enjoyed the video. Get the recipe here -----> www.patreon.com/simmpleenough . Is there anything other product (plant based) I should try at Trader Joes? I really like that store now!!

    Just found your channel. I don't blame you about wanting to cook in privacy, I'd be the same. I live in a house and cook two big meals on Sunday to save time having to cook during the week. My job is hectic and stressful. When I don't have food prepared I end up eating out too much. I'm going backward in your videos to catch up on your story. Stay safe out there.

      Exactly! Not having food already prepared was always the perfect excuse for me to buy a frozen pizza or go to my favorite Thai restaurant. I hope you enjoy my videos. Thank you for the comment!

    I have been living in my Toyota sedan for about 2 weeks now. I only have my clothes, blankets, some dry food snacks ( I don't cook), and my other most important personal belongings so all of these stuffs fit in my whole car spaces, and those are what I own. I am homeless, but working, paying tax ! During the day I spend most of my time in the company working and when I get out I only need my driver seat to sleep at night. I don't eat meat products, so that's not a big deal for me to worry about. I don't care what I eat, I just get my stomach full and happy, that's good enough. But I do care that is I will never touch animals products, as long as what I take inside of my system will not make me feel guilty when I go to bed at night then I am happy.

      It really is exciting to find different ways to cut my expenses! After watching this video, a few people told me I'm paying too much for my car insurance (I discussed car insurance in the pinned comment), so I decided to look at my insurance and find ways to cut costs and I was able to get it down. It made me so happy, lol!

    Totally gonna try the cashew yogurt now… There are a number of things I get at TJ’s. Shop the aisles. There are a few of the frozen items I get that to buy the fresh ingredients would be more expensive and too much left over to store well.

    • @simmpleenough
      @simmpleenough  2 роки тому +1

      I’ve been taking my time walking the aisles, checking out everything they have. I try one new thing each time I go!
      Just to clarify, the cashew yogurt doesn’t have this amazing flavor or anything. I love it because, to me, it’s the most neutral flavored of all plant based dairy products. Almond, oat, and other yogurts have a distinct flavor to me. Cashew yogurt is neutral, so it doesn’t overpower other flavors I mix in with my yogurt. Just wanted to clarity in case you try it and then get disappointed because I hyped it up, lol 🙂.

    It looks so delicious. Was wondering how you remove the smell of cooked food from the car and your clothing?

    • @simmpleenough
      @simmpleenough  2 роки тому +3

      Thank you 😊. I cook with the windows down and one of the doors is typically cracked open. I also drive with all of the windows down after cooking and rub a little essential oil on different places in the car. This is all I do and the smell of food never lingers for long. Regarding my clothes, I don’t do anything except wash them.

    I like that fridge! I really need to do meal prep for work days but my fridge is too small. I do almost all my shopping at Trader Joe’s. Rarely visit the frozen isle though. Farmer’s Markets and farm stands are the best for cheap produce though.

      That’s wonderful! I purchased a little USB charged faucet from Amazon and I have a 5 gallon water jug that I purchased from Home Depot. The link for the faucet is somewhere in the description box. Thank you for the video idea! I’m currently working on a Car Life Essentials video, so I’ll include things I use for cooking. Good luck on your journey!

    I love that you can cook a full meal right in your car. I’m with you I’m a very private person also. Do you ever do disperse camping? I know you said you mainly do city. I was just thinking if you did disperse sometime you could spread out alil I have a carsule mogic tent that connects to my SUV (hatch) and I have a Buick also…. I don’t recommend that brand it’s a pain to set up but maybe another company, I said that to say this When I go camping I cook 🧑🏾‍🍳 very comfortably in there it also stands alone so you can leave it if you need to. I’m sure you’ve seen those. Keep the videos coming I enjoy watching your content. Take care 👋🏾

      I haven’t disperse camped yet, but I plan to! I have the Tail Veil on my Amazon wishlist. I plan to get it before my next camping trip. It sounds similar to the tent you have, except it doesn’t stand alone. One of the main reasons I’m getting an suv hatch tent is so I can stand up and cook 😊. That’s such a luxury for me, these days!

    How do you keep your fridge running?would that drain your car battery ?

    • @simmpleenough
      @simmpleenough  2 роки тому +1

      I have a second battery and inverter installed underneath my bed which powers all of my appliances. The second battery gets power from my main car battery, but I have a battery charger installed (Victron Battery Charger) which ensures the second battery does not drain my main car battery. It’ll shut off the connection if my car battery gets too low.

      @@simmpleenough Hi salaam sis I hope you are doing well !! You answered my question a year ago but during that time I ended up getting a place. You also have links to all the cooking/kitchen essentials but their is so much that I am not sure what each and how to use each of your links. Like for example how do you install the victron charger? Did you install it yourself ? I really want to learn how to cook and it's the reason why I am doubting if I should do the car life but I need the car life to save. Please help if you can or direct me to a video of you have already explained how to set up the cooking

    I don't feel comfortable when I see someone sharpens a knife because that reminds me a lot during my childhood in my country. To see someone sharpens a knife to me is like that person is getting ready to cut the animal's throat !!! When my dad or even my younger sister did that, I will go away because I don't want to see that and I feel the pain of the animal as putting that in my position. That's why I become a vegetarian until the day I die and I am happy with my choice.

    @ 3:56 I thought of the spinach in a bag a few videos back but I forgot to post the suggestion. Besides I only found your channel last week in 2024 and the video was three yrs old. I figured you'd already thought of it and, voila! You have!😊
    I was also thinking back to the videos about people just being all up in your business. I remember having to take my son 2 hours south in Georgia in my little matrix and I was absolutely exhausted after hauling him down there to college. So I stopped at a gas station, I put up my sunshades, and I let my car run because it was chilly and I could not believe the amount of stairs that people gave me. Like if your car is not moving oh my God you must be doing something wrong. No, I was resting because I just driven non-stop 2 hours south with a carload full of stuff.
    And it was basically his home that I was relocating. I didn't need a u-haul, I had my little cooler full of sandwiches and food, I had my little army blanket, I had my extra change of clothes in case something happened on the road, and I also had my dress clothes in case I needed to stay down there for an event.
    Why can't people just leave people alone??

      Thank you 😊. Well, I was told everything was fixed, so I moved back in my car. A week after moving back in, I started having power issues again 🙄. I don’t know if you noticed in the video, but in the first clip, the morning I cooked my meal, I had the instant pot out. Then, you see me cooking with my gas stove. That’s because my power went out that day, right in the middle of me filming this video 🙃. So I couldn’t use the instant pot. Anyways, I’m making an appointment with a different company to redo everything. I’ll update you all when it’s done! For now, I’m back to using my fridge as a cooler 😖😖.
