Actually, in my opinion it is more important on 4 strokes as it will burn oil if not broken in correctly as a new engine needs to break in to seat the piston rings to the cylinder wall and running the engine at high rpm and especially with no load will prevent the piston rings from seating thus creating a poor seal which will result in more oil consumption (Burns more oil) and will produce less power due to poor compression and not to mention blow by .
I have a Chinese clone of this motor installed on my bike. Love it. The chain drive transmission that came with it kinda sucked, but I was able to upgrade to a belt-driven one and it's so much better.
@@QuaabQueb Less worry of wear vs exposed chain, quieter smoother transmission, less hazard if broken, lighter weight(assumption on my part), MUCH CLEANER as no lube needed
How much is this engine? I bought one on the market place brand new never used for $160. It's an authentic Honda with a serial number made in Thailand where all small Honda engines are made other than the US.
i bought one of this engine from small engine warehouse too, but i forgot the price, i'm planning to put this engine on my Ridley Twin motorbike which has 50cc 2 stroke engine put on from factory which i don't like very much, will contact spookytooth tomorrow to find out which parts do i need to fit their belt drive transmission on my new project.
im going to be buying a few of these motors. is there anyway to hook up a throttle cable to that carb ? or will i have to buy a new carb with a throttle assembly
how were you throttling it up? will you be modifying the linkage to connect a throttle cable? i'm ordering one from small engine warehouse for $300 ; can they be found any cheaper? what type gearbox will you be adding? i'm torn betwixt the g4 t belt drive and ez's Q matic. be seeing you
If that motor is brand new, you just made a deadly mistake. NEVER ALLOW RPM'S ON A NEW ENGINE TO EXCEED 2000!!! You have to break the motor in by running it at full throttle with icecream in it instead of oil for about six hours.

The best light engine money can buy even in 2018.. Should be governed with a centrifugal clutch and decent sprocket.
is this is 4stok engine?
Power is very good!

Why is the belt drive better?

It's not that chain drive sucks it's you need a four shoe clutch

Where i can find a clutch for this engine? Same as in honda gx31?
Engine sound very smooth, i wanna put it on my rc plane. If i have one. 😊

Actually I see a groove on the shaft

It seems the shaft is completely smooth and round. How do I attach stuff to the shaft?
are you sure thats all the slower it will idle?
I got the same engine
Where did you buy it? The honda motor
En Venezuela donde lo venden.....
how do you lighten the governer springs?
Dejuan Dam
That's just like mine

eight years and not response to my inquiries; thanks for nada
hahaha
volcom you probably should have at least a 100cc engine, honda makes the GX 100. I wouldnt go any smaller than that
where can i buy one of these? please reply :D
Northern Tools sells them, but there are other vendors, as well in USA.

I think he got confused because the max. torque is at 2500 rpm
Max torque is about 2.7Nm at 4500rpm
that's really quiet
what that engine for???
That idle rpm is more like 900 rpm......
No he is right look it up
Why was the shaft not turning?
I'm pretty sure that's just for two-strokes...
