Ustad Pir Bukhsh - Tabla Solo - Naghma Ustad Mohammad Hussain

A clip of ghazal maestro Mehdi Hassan Khansaheb's lifelong accompanist Ustad Pir Bukhsh performing a short tabla solo in Teentaal accompanied by Ustad Mohammad Hussain on the harmonium.
Ustad Pir Bukhsh was of Rajasthani origin and learnt tabla from Ustad Mehboob Khan.

The only 2 tabla players among others performed with khan saheb Mehdi Hassan Marhoom ustad pir baksh and ustad tari and togather they produced masterpiece ghazals like no other , ustad tari adopted his style from ustad pir baksh and continued with khan saheb and took it to another level . What a performance by ustad pir baksh, thanks for sharing this gem

Ustad Tariji leant from Late Ustad Shaukat Hussein Ji in Radio Pakistan. Confirmed by Late Mehdi Hassanji (RIP) therefore 3 Ustadji have produced heavenly Nectaric masterpieces with Late Mehdi Hassanji (RIP) .
I have personally met them both Buxji and Khansaheb Ji in private mehfil in UK.

@@narendralodhia I know tari khan ji learned from ustad shaukat ji but he did not adopted his style due to his low thaap on tabla. Tari ji's style is more like ustad pir baksh saheb and perfect match with mehdi Hassan saheb's ghazal singing, I have watched both of them in many memorable mehfils in Lahore

@@narendralodhia I never watched pir baksh saheb playing with khan saheb but ustad tari khan and ustad shaukat ji in many mehfils as I mentioned in earlier reply , I wish if I could watch pir baksh saheb , glad that you met him

Here both the instruments performance are at peak. Ustad Pir Baksh and Ustad Mohmmad Hussain both are at there best.
