I thought the first civilization was that of Mesopotamia? So is that "The Ancient City" that Fustel was talking about? BTW there are several other ancient civilizations that are much older than the Greek and Roman, e.g., Egyptian.
Numa Denis Fustel de Coulanges is the greatest scholar the West has ever had! I wish you could read Serbian philologist Veselin Čajkanović, he expanded de Coulanges' work and reconstructed to the greatest degree tje ancient Indo-European religion by following Serbian customs and combining them with ancient Greeks, Romans, and many others. Hopefully his works (The myth and religion of the Serbs, most importantly) will get translated one day in the West.
@@Finn959 blogging is something I was thinking about, but eventually gave up after realizing (upon further research) that I have enough material for two or maybe even three books. On this topic, in 4-5 years you will hear about a book called smt like :"Indo-European origins, customs and religion" (this is a working title, if it changes it won't change by much) by some author from Serbia. That will be me, and you can expect that a lot of things that we have been taught about Indo-Europeans will change.
That's an amazing book, good seeing it here.
You’re truly a gem. My husband and I appreciate and enjoy your videos immensely. Thank you.
You're welcome! So glad to have you watching.
A truly fantastic work!
Thank you for your series.
Fantastic reading voice

Is this the entire book!?! Or only select chapters. It looks pretty thorough
I'm 2 sections away from doing the whole book. Hope to finish by year's end.
Thanks to Imperium press for reprinting it.
Yes, I should put together a list of links to available reprints.

You seem to be competent enough. Why not try at least a few chapters and put them on substack

@@cynicalskeptic Twitter can be useful for self promotion before publishing especially for special interest
@@Finn959 I agree. Something like that is very likely to happen once I get into writing.
