Best single kick barefoot drummer in rock. Up the Irons.
Putting the funk into metal drumming, and once again, just like Vinny Appice, only one kick drum.
Swingers my friend ! Eh !
Best snare sound Nicko ever had
I always liked Nicko as a drummer but after listening to this I have a whole new level of admiration. Awesome playing.
I wish that Maiden releases all their albums with isolated tracks so we can hear every detail in 100% awesomeness
I wish there are releasing all record sessions 🙏👍😉
@@thomasschuldt4557 It’s whatever was on Rock Band/Guitar Hero
0:57 he tripled the eight note with the single kick on a quite fast straight tempo (around 100 BPM). Pure Bonham style (Good Times Bad Times) but even more difficult cause Nicko is playin the full triplet. Astonishing.
I don't know what you just said but I still get get it!🤘
@@daveedarevalo1 Bonham played 2 notes in a row fast, Nicko did 3 notes in a row as fast
Best in the business excellent one pedal
Not that hard for those of us that know how to do it
1:40 proves Nicko is a full fledged beast. That beat is way more involved than I thought! 🤘 keep these videos comin! I absolutely love it!
how good is 9:18!! He can't keep it up all the way through but man, so good
@@templatemusic I think he can keep it up all the way through, he just didn't want to. He did it in "The Wickerman".
@@templatemusic Wdym?
7:56 great drumming!
The toms are panned so interestingly! Love Nicko's playing, especially on those mid/late 80's albums
If drum machines could be as expressive as a funk drummer, you'd have Nicko
Very nice to hear the work on the ghost notes and the overall dynamics that got lost in the mix . This is also one punchy bass drum sound. Almost sounds like a 20". Thanks for sharing
Sonor Phonic Plus at its best. I believe its a 24" :)
its a shame that nickos footwork is not very audible with the 80s albums
@ yes, why is that? I'd love to know why it was mixed so low
Exactly. I was suffering from that my whole youth :))
@@freddieg1095 I think for more "space" for Steve Harris bass in the mix.
Thank you for this perfect tool to work on this song. One of the best song of Iron Maiden. And the last minute of it is the best Iron maiden minute ever, at least in my ears. So melodic, airy and awesome.
They were on fire back then! All 5!
Nicko is badass hands down!❤✌👍
Por la ctm considero que este es uno de los mejores bateristas de la historia
Im not even a drummer and this is a pretty awesome breakdown
this is a masterpiece 🤍
No words... amazing
GRACIAS NICKO POR TANTO
Masterpiece
BRUTAAAAAALLLLLLL
spettacolo
Please bring more fam really helps on editing.
Great video
No one has a right foot like Nicko
Cough*
Magnificent!
9:18 👌🏻👏🏻
OMG.
OMG!!!
Obra maestra 🤘
He's no Clive, but we can't all play that fast and tight. ;P
😲 wow
Do you isolate it by yourself? Or is it just the original isolated recording and you have it? unbelievable great drumming by Nicko.
I have separate isolated tracks. I just mix them in an audio editor.
@@drum_tracks thanks a lot for the quick answer. Amazing that you have them. Your separated tracks are the best on the planet, great that we drummers can hear all those details of the original studio recording. Thanks very much for sharing those tracks.
Мистика!))
Да ))
Holy fucking shit!
buena,aunque lo encuentro algo lento
saludos de Argentina escuchen: Mantra lagrimas de metal, en youtube , fondo negro letras blancas tiene el video
Fullspectrum.
A veces parece que utiliza doble pedal
Ponte unos buenos auriculares y escucha el tema caugh somewhere in time, deja vu, o where eagles dare, también da una lección de técnica con un solo pedal en esos temas
@@entrosinllamar8697 gracias hermano, lo haré, saludos
Mcbrain >>> urlich
Its a matter of personal taste, i also prefer Nicko 🤩 but both have their merits 🙏🏼... Its not a competition 🙃
They are so different......
Who cares. What does Lars have to do with this
He’s no Clive Burr but he’s a good fit for Maiden now they have slowed down. All the comments going ooh single bass drum need to go and listen to some John Bonham.
Agreed John Bonham "invented" or atleast brought the single bass drum triplet to the masses, however imho Nicko took it to an another level.
@@Sonorg1 I assume you are not a drummer if you think anyone plays triplets as well as Bonham. Also Nicko never reached Clive Burr standard let alone John Bonham. Listen to both versions of Wrathchild. ‘Nuff said.
@@misfit2022 You assume wrong ;)
@@Sonorg1 If you are a drummer and can not hear the difference between the feel of Clive Burr and Nicko other guy listen through a good pair of headphones to hear the nuance of Burr for example the placing of the snare on the second half of the bar on Number of the Beast. Those amazingly smooth one handed 16th notes on Wrathchild at circa 110 bpm live to name just a couple.
@@misfit2022 lol, dude I'm not comparing him to Clive. You okay Doris?
