Another great tutorial. One thing that would be helpful for me, would be to hear a newly-created track solo'd momentarily. I know each has to "fit in" with the others, but sometimes it's hard for my brain to tease it out of the mix without the solo moment.
Hi Chris, just a random thought, but I was wondering if you would consider doing a 'How It's Made ?' there are some classic ambient tracks that I really love and it would be amazing to have you deconstruct them and explain how you would re-create them.
A few comments. We don't all have your golden ears or fast brain so 1. Your constant talking makes it difficult to hear the changes. 2. When adding a new sound, let's hear it solo before it's mixed in. Makes it easier to spot. 3. Let's hear it dry, before you add the effects.
I don't have any issue with hearing the difference in the presets even when he's talking, also hearing it solo is barely useful since the fundimental / most important part of music is the relationship between the different sounds to create harmony and a bad reverb won't harmonise with anything I think they have done a great job with presenting the power of these presets especially with the fact valhallavintage is one of the most used reverb vsts out there, these presets sound so damn beautiful it actually made me want to go get that vsts and buy the preset pack even tho I am capable of making reverb sounds on an equal level of quality because I love to support the dedication, love and time they put in to make something like this You're the type of person to buy the presets then complain about them sounding bad even tho it's probably a lack of skill on your own part cause a reverb is only as good as the original sound you use
I don't think you need to own them all. Start simple, work your way up. You'll know when you need a new synth. Start with the free options available, Vital, Surge XT, VCV Rack and go from there.
your back foam is of no use to you; make real modules with rock wool and thick bass trap; this type of low-end panel poses more frequency mode problems than advantages

For sure! I'll try and touch on that in a future tutorial. Thanks for the suggestion!
Totally

I thought it was a great video. Maybe get ur practice up buddy instead of acting like you’re owed something.
Spot on

Just out of curiosity. Your valhalla vintage verb preset contains name Artemiev. Is this preset named after Russian film composer Eduard Artemiev?
Love the new presets by Don! Was an instant buy!
When/where should we use Pigment, Hive, Phaseplant, Omnisphere2, Diva, and others? Should I own them all?

You can only choose one for ambient music production, which would it be, Serum or Pigments?
Pigments. I still love Serum though but Pigments has more available to you in it's current state.
Hey 👋 much love also it seems like your to the point that each and every sound coming out of your DAW is awesome 👏 lol 😂 peace
Seems like the bass track from Hive was muted because I couldn't hear it but overall another cool production!
Nice one!!!
I didn’t even know Vintage Verb had an update untill watching this, grabbed the presets instantly.
Thank you Chris for the video. Good work and am loving the sound db
Excellent and always inspiring!! See in in the New Year
The new algorithms of that Reverb are LIT!
Always inspiring. Thank you.
Loving the presets too Chris!! thanks for this!
Hey man, I've downloaded and installed the presets in the correct folder on my hard drive, but they aren't showing up in my DAW. Have any suggestions?
Nevermind, just figured it out. I had them in the presets folder but not under User Presets. Thanks for the video!
Thanks, Man. Your generosity is always inspiring. The new presets sound amazing! Cheers.
Thank you so much!
Off world ....as in past the ice 🧊 ?!?
What?
Vintage or Room? What’s your favorite?
It was Room for several years. These new algorithms may have changed all that. They are sooo good
I was about to ask this same question. Setting the vintage verb to “modern?”

it would have been nice if you had shown the harmonies and notes you used...
Have you used the PhasePlant synthesizer, how do you like it???
Yes he has many times
@@robmlisanti Thanks
All good but not with Serum. For Film mainly useless.
How? Its a synth, it can be used in anything.
whut care to elaborate?
