I know right? Lmao I used to weed whack all the desert brush in the yard every year and end up with runny nose for 2 days straight. Sometimes got sick from the post nasal drip too.
The combine operater totally focused on what's happening. Must be alot to take in operating one of those machines. Always look forward to seeing another post. Keep up the good work Jason.
Was that a 9560RT pulling that cart?? Awesome video and amazing machine. I’m not an old timer by any means but just In my 30ish years around farming it even amazes me how far everything has come. And you do an amazing job showing people that don’t get to see it for themselves.
Normally sun light and bean dust do not cooperate. It is the most challenging harvest to film. This day was over h the next town over the sun came out and the sky was bright blue.
I remember seeing the first one of these out back in the early 90’s my neighbor had the first claas track combine I ever seen and it had CAT CHALLENGEER undercarriage like the old cat tractors. It was soooo cool!!! It had full tracks tho , no steer tires on the back
@@marknicholson2718 My friends brothers farmed in Missouri, right between the Missouri and Mississippi rivers. I watched them one day during harvest. What a mess!
It would be neat to see an 8900. The 8900s are specifically built with 790 Hp to handle the damp high yielding wheat in Europe. CLAAS feels the 8800 can cover the largest crops in North America.
BTP- have you ever filmed one of these combines on tires? I can only recall the Claas machines on tracks. They're definitely nice machines and look a lot better in Claas colors vs the older Cat colored machines.
Yes we just switched to a claas 8700. Corn wheat soybeans. I’d be curious as to why those farmers switched...? Although didn’t sound like that guy was to interested in talking.
Lexion combines eat the acres in a hurry and do a nice job. I plan to catch the 8700 in the video in corn. You might have noticed a Deere S790 also harvesting in this video. It was just traded for an 8600 TT. The combines were harvesting in a river bottom and farmer aa concentrating on harvesting near the edge of the field that had some drift in it while I was filming.
Hello! I wanted to ask you about Claas. Do you have any other machines operating in your area besides combines? Tractors, loaders? It is interesting to know how popular this brand is in your country.
Combines and forage harvester are the most popular CLAAS products here. Tractors are gaining. I got to drive an Axion 930TT this summer. It was impressive.
Yes you can it reduces the grain tank option to 485 bu. The Lexion Terra Trac better in my opinion because it spreads out the weight of the combine and in wet conditions does not rut the field.
I film every brand of combine and from my observation GLEANER combines do the best harvesting job. The S9 combines are impressive. I have filmed a S96 and S97. I would like to see what an S98 could do. CLAAS combines are good. They can move a bunch a corn. The advantage CLAAS combines have over the rest is the Terra Trac reduction compaction especially in a muddy harvest. The tracks long length keep the combine on top rather than leaving ruts.
A Gleaner can't touch a Lexion in corn, don't even attempt it, just like Deere found out the hard way by plugging up their combine at the Farm Progress show this year trying that
Gleaner S97 🤣🤣🤣🤣 oh my god ...with this you make about 50 to Max 60 ton per hour . The lexion 8800 holds the record with 130 tons per hour . This comparison is funny . And this record is in GB in a 40 bushel per acre weat (100ton/ha , with moisture about 16 percent . Kind regards from germany
as a non farmer,...silly question.. why are soybeans so much dustier than almost all other crops at harvest time?? wheat field behind house dusty as well ,but nothing like this .
Wheat you are only cutting the top part of the plant where the wheat head is, with soybeans you are cutting low on the ground. Taking in not only the entire plant but some dirt as well in places, especially if your field has a lot of crawfish mounds.
Love seeing them, even though they can’t be justified for our organic through put requirements. I always joke, I’m the farmer with million dollar planters, and $50k combines.
It has its work clothes on. Soybeans are dusty crop to harvest. The combine is blown off and cleaned each evening. It is power washed at the end of harvest.
I'll never understand this. CLAAS makes such a pretty combine. Million dollars sitting there- but then sticks a 20 dollar aluminum ladder on the back. Like they got a deal from some hardware store. They can do better with that, in my opinion.
Actually it is a very handy ladder. It detaches from the back and can be used to access belts and pulleys under the side shields with ease. The first time I saw how the silver ladder is a useful tool all around the combine I though ahhh that makes sense why don’t the other brands have this. Watch this video I made at the 27:30 mark it shows just how handy the aluminum ladder is on a Lexion ua-cam.com/video/eOb4ZRR9UhE/v-deo.html You might view it completely different going forward.

I had no idea that Claas doesn't offer their flagship 8900 in the US. Haven't seen one in action myself yet, but its gotta be awesome!
I can feel my sinuses locking up just watching this video.
This is the best comment on this video 😂
I know right? Lmao I used to weed whack all the desert brush in the yard every year and end up with runny nose for 2 days straight. Sometimes got sick from the post nasal drip too.
I coughed as soon as the video started.

There’s a lot of focus when you run a combine
I appreciate very much the drivers. They must work in the dust conditions and I'm sure it's not easy.My respect for them and for the entire team.
Thx Jason, I think claas has some of the best looking equipment made these days... There tractors are really sharp.
CLAAS builds some good harvesting equipment in forage and grain.
Watching this thing unload is just awe inspiring. Holy grain dump!!!!! Keep up the great work filming these beautiful machines!!!
The 8000 Lexions just pour out the grain. It’s neat seeing it on the camera screen in the cab pour. This combines just flat out moves grain.
I have said it before in here, I am so glad they went to seed green and white true Claas colors!

Just awesome Jason nice beans 😎
We use a Claas 6800 combine with 770 convio flex header. Wheat, Canola, Grass Seed, Peas, Barley, Oats, Clover
Very cool video Jason. Quite a machine there. It was nice the wind was blowing away from you. That bean dust is really itchy!!!
Normally sun light and bean dust do not cooperate. It is the most challenging harvest to film. This day was over h the next town over the sun came out and the sky was bright blue.
That is a Awesome Machine. Love the New Paint Scheme on the Combine.
The family unified green and white paint is nice on the new machines. They really eat up the acres.

I remember cutting late season beans and how dirty and dusty it was. I was always happy with a cross wind.
You should try running beans that have been flooded.

great machine, thanks for sharing
Yep, seems like a BEAST of a machine, now I understand why this machine has such a massive price tag if you were to buy one brand new.
I wonder how long it would take for this combine to pay for itself? 🤔
That farmer isn't letting any grass grow under his feet. He's letting it ride👍
The Lexion combines no matter the size just eat up the acres.
Another great video Jason !
Awesome video I learn so muchThere is a Claas factory up the road from us

Good video as usual. This week was the last week for us to harvest with the 750tt claas combine. New machine coming for wheat 24.

Love nice autumn canola times
Fall harvest is a nice time to be in the field.
Impressive combine for sure.
Illinois generally leads the nation in total production and yields, this field sure looks good.
Illinois has some good soil for sure.
I rode in one of these! The farmer was running 4 of these huge machines!
That is moving allot of grain.

Great dusty Harvest video Jason, in England we top off the Lexion range with the Lexion 8900 a real monster machine.

@@bigtractorpower thanks alot!

I have not filmed a green model on wheels yet. I have featured a 760 in yellow on wheels here on the channel.
Those beans must be really dry because thats a heck of a dust coming off them!
Soybean harvest is the dusty crop I film each year.
How does this machine strip the beans and spread the trash back on the field
How does it distinguish stalks from beans
It basically scrapes the crop against metal grills to get the beans out. It does the by 2 spinning rotors pulling the crop across metal concaves

@@bigtractorpower Thanks for the answer!
Can this combine be equipped with the wide LSW tires??
No.
You would have to order it as a tire machine, then you lose the 510 bushel grain tank.
Why would you want LSW over those tracks?
@@jasonhessels from what I heard from farms with the LSW smoother ride, less Maintenace and better fuel numbers over tracks.,
Yes you can it reduces the grain tank option to 485 bu. The Lexion Terra Trac better in my opinion because it spreads out the weight of the combine and in wet conditions does not rut the field.

CLAAS builds heads up to 45ft at this time. The 40ft helps with controlled traffic reducing compaction.
