Easiest thing is to get a fertilizer doser. It picks up the solution and sprays consistently regardless of flow and pressure. I got one last year and can switch between hooking up to drip or fertilizing with a hose end nozzle. It’s the ultimate sprayer in my book!

I’ve abandoned the ciphon mixer and just use a fertilizer injector on the lowest setting as it allows me to use the normal dram wand. If I want a higher mix rate, I just turn the mix rate up. Yes, the injector costs more, but it’s worth it. I have a simple hose bib bypass to allow me select either the injector or not on my greenhouse hose.
I watched your video on corn sapping but how do you know when you can start and not hurt your corn. Sorry to put it on this video but did not think about it until it was out of my feed
Do you fertilize your trees? Do you use a root feeder? I’m thinking I can just feed it using your fertilizer hose fitting. The advantage is the root feeder feeds the solution below the grass line. Plus I'm looking forward to your Hossinator tomatoes. And ordered some more Monsanto Complete Disease Control! Max Pax Pickles were the best last year!
@@gardeningwithhoss Do you have mulch around them? Otherwise how do you get around the grass from absorbing the fertilizer? The root feeder always made sense to me. Except the fertilizer pellets were always pricey.
agree that pine bark mix is terrible for seed starting, but also generally, and especially for indoor plant pots. it's terrible stuff. i once bought a bag of premium seed raising mix which was nothing more than finely shredded pine bark and sand. almost nothing came up. any chance you can do a segment on root knot nematodes? just found out have them everywhere, after digging up tomato, eggplant, pepper, and cucumber harvest, no wonder the crops did rather mediocre, looking at those infested roots. i dug in a whole bunch of hydrated lime into soil to dry it up, as soil was soggy in autumn, and no plants have responded negatively to this treatment, even low ph loving plants dont mind it. most videos i can find about it, talk about organic matter yadda yadda, with some passing mention of mollases/sugar as a treatment. dont have 2 months (next summer) to solarize whole patch. i will be looking for seeds that are nematode resistant.
i just ordered (not too expensive) a kilo of Trichoderma 3 species mix, and i'll be treating seedlings in a wash of that, just before planting out. can also directly water into soil or spray onto existing plants. see how goes. I wanted a surefire pesticide solution, but these are complicated and dangerous, and really only an option for farmers.
My jambalaya okra seeds I purchased from you are not doing well . I planted them a month ago and they are only about an inch above ground ? They are planted in an above ground oval shaped tub that I plant most of my plants in. It’s planted in a good soil. Do you know why they are so slow in growing?
I am in zone 9 Deep Southeast Texas. It is hot here in the 80’s now . I plant year round. I direct sow everything I plant. I usually plant red okra and they go crazy in a short amount of time.
If most of the seeds germinated it’s most likely something wrong on your end. Could be soil temp/ ph, plant spacing, weather, lack of nutrients, soil drainage, seed variety……direct sowing is a bit risky. Try transplanting a few 😊

What zone are you in? And did you start them inside or did you direct sow them into the groudnd?
I don't know where your are, but the soil needs to be warm.

Is it ok to use 20-20-20 water soluble in my raised garden bed?
yes, it is..
One more question. All I do is spoon feed my garden and how often should I do that with 20-20-20?
